Between this and Michael in yesterday’s episode, who writes these lines?

And yet at the same time, I loved the writing in the Chase/Brook Lynn scenes. They have such good chemistry

I like Chase and Brooklyn and do want them to get together (since they won't give me my fantasy pairing of Chase/Liz, ha). But man, they should've been banging in that steam room today! Chase being so shy when his towel fell off was adorable. Brooklyn seemed to love the view, lol. But man, Brooklyn was WAY overdressed the whole episode and it was ridiculous. She really wore a winter coat into the steam room and complained about how hot it was, then she was fanning herself with the coat while still wearing it. They made it a point to have her leave her purse outside but not the coat. Right. Once she finally took off the winter jacket, there was a blazer underneath of course. She's like a Russian nesting doll. Just endless layers of jackets. My god, let the woman take some of her clothes off in the damn steam room! Amanda Setton looks great. Enough with these blazers! Eventually she'll bang Chase for real and the blazer will stay on during sex.

I don't care about Curtis and his Hat Daddy. We really didn't need Carly/Olivia, Alexis/Harmony, or Stella/Portia today. I wish they'd stop with the Jason flashbacks. Don't let Burton get any more money out of this show! (I'm assuming he gets paid for flashbacks, lol.)

The scenes with Sonny and Sasha in the NICU were actually quite nice. Sofia Mattsson is doing good work.

I'm glad that Liz is finally getting airtime again (all five days this week!) but she and Finn are dry as hell together lol

I enjoyed Sam,Drew and Scout together today. I think that Sam/Drew have nice chemistry together and Scout is cute. They are a cute family.

It's nice to see something positive in light of some of the darker stuff on the show lately like the stuff with Sasha/Brando their baby.

I know they are not popular around here, but I do enjoy Willow and Sasha.  I wish Sasha was being utilized better, because I really like the actress.  She should be Lucy Coe 2.0.  Instead she’s someone I like that has been saddled with one bad story after another.

And on paper, a story like this with her baby is what soaps have always been about- actual human emotions.  It’s just poor timing for this kind of story.

By all means, delete the scene of a doctor and a nurse talking about their work in a hospital, on what's supposed to be the hospital soap.

I can't help but think that in the first draft of one of these recent scripts or breakdowns, there had to have been scenes of Liz finding out about Jason's death, absorbing the news, then telling Jake about it. But then you know who just had to tell the writers to remove them.

I can't remember the last time a soap made me cry, but the Liam stuff got to me. I don't even care about Brasha! But jeez. Mike appearing to take the baby to heaven did me in. Sofia Mattsson was wonderful.

A shame that they cut the Liz/Britt scene.

I really don't care about Curtis's dad.

I am looking forward to Scout and Drew bonding more. I felt so bad every time she was like "I wanna go home" lol.

Friday’s episode was really good. It’s not often soaps have a themed (normal) episode. This episode was about parents and their kids.  We got: Sasha/Liam/Brando, Curtis/Marshall, Scout/Drew, Ned/Leo/Olivia.

There also have been great scenes during this story: Sasha/Brando saying goodbye to Liam, Brando/TJ talking in the chapel, Sonny/Sasha talking about his experience with Mike, Lucy telling Sasha about losing her child and the Dominque situation with Serena.

Sometimes actors get jealous of their partner’s costars. I don’t like to gossip but I remember watching Mike & Willow’s love scene a few months ago and wondered if there was something going on between them irl. It didn’t look like they were “acting”, if you get what I mean. I also remember Sally (Courtney Hope) passionately kissing Adam (Mark Grossman) on Y&R and she looked like she was really enjoying it.

12-9

LAUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes, I cheered when she knocked out the potential assassin. That's my Laura!!!

And yaaaassssss to Ms. Wu getting a storyline. And how it is helping getting Brad back on the canvas. Britt could use her BFF.

It's been pretty steady viewing though I've been busy. But I will say this...

I love when people who don't regularly interact do...that was a good scene between Maxie and Sonny.

I give JS his props. I have not liked his reactions as Valentin on learning about Brooklyn, but his scenes with Anna, Brooklyn, and Chase at the Q Manison as he said good-bye to the baby was more understated and that I actually felt. Good job.

The Curtis storyline has vanished. Meh.

And the teen storyline has totally backburnered to C plot.

I stay loving all the Cassassdine intrigue. And Ava in the thick of it.

So Sonny/Nina...February Sweeps. Feeling very slow burning and can't say I hate it. And now Willow knows and Parking Lot Pete in the wings. Uh oh.

    • On the other hand, I still find episodes of TV with people smoking in front of babies shocks me into nervous giggles.
    • Word of advice... you have to view the show without the 2025 lenses.. which means you need to 86 the misandry.
    • i love reading other posters alternate takes and scenarios. Yours would have really upped the tension.
    • Amanda is not my cup of tea. That's all I'm gonna say. She's repetitive and childish. She acts like a brat with her parents and has this constant "I'm not satisfied or happy" look on her face. The actress is okay in my opinion. I'm not impressed by anything I've seen her do so far. But she's okay.  BUT Amanda's repetitive scenes with Sam are the ones that I want to fast-forward the most. They just have 2  topics they like to talk about... and it's always "You are infringing on my right to be a powerful career woman! I need to be outside dating men for a job, so I can WORK and prove I'M NOT A RICH GIRL ONLY!" and he's like "You and your family are buying me a career and I don't want it! I WANT TO BE ABLE TO STRUGGLE and be poor and you guys ARE denying me the opportunity by giving it all on a silver platter" This is their main storyline for me... and it's just annoying when it's the same every single episode. It's a fake struggle that I don't buy. These people are so spoiled by this point and have everything... don't make me suffer listening to them bicker how amazing their life is, so they are unhappy about that. Just a personal view. I'm not saying THIS IS the situation. My view is also restricted, since I'm only 4-5 months into the episodes.
    • It's shocking to see Steffy look down on anyone. She was the new generation HO for years. I mean... she was nasty and using sex to seduce married-engaged-in-relationship-men all the time. She was embracing it fully. Bradley was accenting on the fact that Taylor's daughter had become Brooke 2. I remember how disgusting it was when she was using Hope's virginity to her advantage and offering to f-ck the guys that wanted Hope. It was ABSURDLY nasty.  Then couple of years ago Bradley decided we should forget about it and made Steffy BECOME her grandmother. IN AN INSTANT. There was no build up to it. Which aged the f-ck out the character and made her unbearable. Because it's one thing to see an actual matriarch, older woman doing these things, being a moral judge... but it's complete joke to see the ex-ho acting like this. Ex-ho that is still incredibly young and has no right acting like she is better that anyone or... a moral JUDGE. Steffy and Hope's personalities got swapped!!! That's the irony of it. So any time these gang-style of fans come attacking Hope... for acting like a "slut"... I pinch myself - their HEROINE Steffy was doing this HARCORE. Are these people oblivious or just pretending not to remember. How can you stan a moral judge... that attacks "sluts" and also stan the same type of behavior you are attacking... years ago. How does this happen. But I repeat myself at this point.  I agree with everything you said 100000 percent. It's the truth. At least in my eyes.
    • The Amanda pregnancy was a blunder. Amanda and Sam were AW's best bet for a starcrossed supercouple. Young love destined to be turn apart by outside forces and misunderstandings . Battling for years to finally get together. Instead AW had them married and pregnant within a year.
    • It is his fatal flaw.  He's smart, cute, and loyal.  But, a total chauvinist pig.  We're looking through a 2025 lens, but April's from a wealthy family, (that she recently met), she should be allowed to contribute to her own home. Especially if Draper is going to work for the Crime Commission, rather than joining Mike's private law firm (did I get that part correct?) How about smoking while the baby is in the room?  It all looks nuts by current standards. Raven was married to Geraldine's son Kevin, but had an affair with Logan (whom Geraldine also considered like a son). Raven got pregnant by Logan, then Kevin died (long story short).  The part you need to know is that Raven was bored being a mother to Jamey (check out my member name).  So, she starts going out to Elliott's club and leaving Jamey with April.  Logan is not happy that Raven keeps leaving their baby all around town.  And thus, Geraldine is not pleased with Raven either. Draper and Logan are frequently rivals in the courtroom.  FYI --- Draper is also Raven's step-brother (her mother married his father). Raven's real name is Charlotte. But, one day [she] was sitting on the lawn and saw this beautiful black bird with shiny wings fly by. [She] wanted to be that bird. So beautiful. So free. With beautiful black wings…"    @chrisml you'll hear that story soon, and I envy you getting to see it the first time.
    • There is a time... till the old storyline is cleaning up... where it's still kinda annoying. For me it was. That's a personal opinion. But in 10-20 episodes more... you'll find yourself enthralled. It's not even begun. I'm so glad to hear your reviews! And excited of what's to come for you!
    • Carly also has Nikki (Nicholas) with Lawrence. The easiest way to remember Chelsea is to think about how she was buried, stillborn, premature in a swamp and came back to life.  Or you can just remember her running over Bo/Hope's kid Zack.  Kind of ballsy to name her kid Issac if you ask me lol.
    • That's right Anita! Let her have it!
