Because she is the most vocal cast member about vaccines, and the most vocal about her politics which are very much not the shared beliefs of many of her costars.  She already gets a lot of heat for this in general.  If someone as big as SB is removed from the show for refusing to vaccinate, I see a lot of ire being directed at her.  These people are not rational in general.  This is an even hotter button.

If you need to take issue take it with the actors not vaccinating or the Company mandating it (ABC/Disney)

Yeah already seen if SB is gone, I wont watch

People dont get it, if u arent a Nielsen family and aged 18-49, they dont care

Can't speak for other outlets, but I personally do not shy away from reporting on stories when I have all the facts presented to me. Currently, this situation does not have all the facts laid out. I can say that I have heard from some people very close to the situation who are truly disappointed in one particular person previously mentioned in this thread but the reason this particular story isn't being reported as yet has nothing to do with people being afraid of lawsuits. Far from it. If that is the reason some are citing, that's on them.

Thank you, Errol for leaving this a free-floating forum and you have definitely not shied away from these topics. And thanks for giving the 411 on the misperception on motives for the radio silence on some topics in the soap media.

Personally, imo, it seems like access reporting, where some blogs/sites are more dependent on access to soap actors than others affecting reporting decisions. I can sort of understand this, but it becomes a bit more challenging to get my head around the concept when a particular site is known for publishing rumors and imagined scenarios like fantasy castings.

    • I agree.  How many times did we have to watch Bobby vs. J.R., or Blake vs. Alexis, knowing that nothing would change at the end, and that everything would go back to status quo, so that they could fight the same, exhausting battles all over again?  If nothing else, I give FC and KL credit for trying to keep things fresh, even if I think FC, in particular, went too far in the other direction and became unrecognizable even to the most diehard fans.
    • I saw a conversation yesterday with Liam with the 7 dwarves hat and Steffy -  I know she did not say re: Hope and Liam said - well look at Finn and you forgave him right?      I know I did not hear Steffy say “well but you can’t compare that to…”  For *uck sake someone call the bitch out!?     You’re right, we shouldn’t compare your forgiveness for the dude with devil spawn seed whose daughter locked you in a cage along with crazy stepmom/mom/Grandmother who has also SHOT YOU BOTH - and multiple murder attempts but you have to exist with them / Hope’s part in a takeover which you know was FAR LESS THAN CARTER BECAUSE HOPE IS NOT AN ATTORNEY…. Goodness no, no the same thing at alllllllll.   When they do Steffy’s absence at least let it be because they all find out what a manipulative ho she is in her own right.
    • I think a lot of us still agree with that. I do hope that the resurgence in the soap world with Beyond the Gates will push ABC to either bring back these shows or produce a newer one.
    • So, this was fun. Elsewhere, friendly to polls, a poll on what do you want to see at the Nurses Ball. The Gio reveal got 18%, for Blaze to return & sing also got 18%, for Jennifer Hudson to do a cameo & sing got 10% and for Lucy to lose various parts of clothing got 9% but the huge one was the reveal of Drew/Nina sex which got a whopping 45%!
    •   I liked the effect of the curtains closing. Yeah it was like the end of Act I.   Or maybe they are simply trying to emphasize the drama of the end of an episode -- instead of a random abrupt end that has happened in some prior episodes.
    • I posted this in the behind the scenes thread but I know this thread is busier so wanted to mention it here as well. During their instagram live yesterday, Daphnee Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant mentioned that they will find out this month if the show is renewed for another season. Just a heads up so we can keep an eye out for an announcement and keep our fingers crossed for a multi-year renewal!
    • They haven't explained the ownership of the Bistro, but Doug told Holly the other day he didn't get the job there. Basically Roman just hired Doug on the spot and gave him a room.  It was really nice of Roman.  I don't know if he knows who Doug is or that he stole Julie's necklace.  That was unclear-at least to me.
    • I'm not sure how I felt about it, but I do kind of like that it felt like the show telling us this concludes the first chapter of the series. Could be interesting if they only do it for big aftermath episodes. The biggest mistake with Martin is that it's almost hard to buy his anger because we've gotten no strong scenes with him and his parents. They've all been with Anita/Vernon. I can't even remember him ever even saying one word to Nicole, even in passing.
    •   Thank you! Agreed on both posts. And the comments about Mike Manning are nonsense.
    • I haven't watched yet, but did they explain the current ownership of The Bistro?  Because when RonC was writing, wasn't he applying for work with Sophia?
