The Sick And The Demented. This is how this show needs to be called now. It's so badly written, I actually am watching like smelling bad food and doing it again, because you are crazy and masochist.

I have a question... What happened to KKL... She used to be Bradley's favourite... Brooke used to rule this show, whatever happened. However disgusting her character became, she was still front and center. Brooke is... like a dead character nowadays... And I think this affects the show. Brooke and Stephanie gave the show it's heart... and after Stephanie died... the heart was beating only once in a while... But now it's'dead... What happened... Can we speculate... I kinda miss watching Brooke make error after error.

I found Ridge the other day to be written so overbearing and obnoxious trying to dictate to his father what Eric does or doesn't do within his own home. What right does he have? I've never liked TK as Ridge and this kind of writing does him no favors. Quinn has done horrible things, for sure. Ridge has every reason to not like her, but when Eric is opening up to him about something so personal Ridge just kept shouting right over him.

I didn't mind today's episode. It actually had people working...in the office...and interacting. LOL. It did seem like they were testing Paris and Thomas. Weren't they just testing Paris and Finn? Why can't Zende and Paris just be a couple? I'd rather Thomas have someone new come into the picture and stir things up. Let Zende and Paris have some happiness. Hell, let any couple on this show have some happiness.

I'm surprised they haven't had Brooke in the middle of Sheila's story. It would make perfect sense to have Brooke be nosing into what Sheila is doing and where she is. After everything Sheila has done in the past, would they really just let her roam around LA without keeping tabs on her? Brooke should secretly hire some young, good-looking private investigator to go get close to Sheila and report back. Ridge could suspect an affair because Brooke is being secretive and running off to meet this guy. Sheila could eventually catch on to the guy and turn the tables on Brooke.

To be fair, as pretty as Zende is, he was trained at the Michael Fishman school of acting... His line delivery is so stilted.

Edit.   Watching tpday's show, and his delivery was smoother than usual for a change.

Eric hates to be alone in the house... but doesn't Zende live there?

Nick Waters, the actor playing Keith, the way too curious (probably horny)  hotel guy reminds me of Franc Luz from TD, EON, etc...

I think they are and I think that's a direction they could have went instead of trying to do something with her and Finn. Though, I do think her and Finn have chemistry and that Tanner was playing it like Finn had a connection with her. But in spite of that I do think it would be nice if Finn/Steffy got to be happy romantically for a bit before they really have another interloper in their romance. Thomas has been needing a genuine love interest for a while IMO and maybe him and Paris might work together.

Jane Wyman return episode was head-to-head w/ Cheers season 8 finale. Falcon Crest broadcast syndication began Fall 1986, which overlapped w/ Oprah going national. AFAIK cable broadcasts were Lifetime and Soapnet. I have no memory of cable broadcasts on TBS, TNT, TNN, E!, FX.
    • After today’s rushed and abrupt exit for Summer I immediately realized that Josh & Co. were very blindsided by AL’s decision to leave.  Not the first time this has happened to JG either; see MM & HK’s exits in 2021, MM’s exit in 2022, and of course TSJ’s exit last year. Obviously JG and our executive in charge of nothing Steve Kent don’t have a good handle on casting disruptions. And Mariah having an offscreen affair is [!@#$%^&*] ridiculous!! Meanwhile Tessa’s blonde hair is overkill with the number of blondes on the show already. I said the same thing 3 years ago…of course it was utterly ridiculous everyone was mad at Sally for getting Summer he dream job (don’t ask lol) but there was so much the show could have done without bringing on the Marchetti angle.
    • Does the ball on GL where Philip revealed that he had forced Alan out of Spaulding count or was that not Philip's idea?  There was a ball on AMC where Adam revealed that he had bankrupted Palmer, I think (or was it the other way around?), but I can't remember who threw that.
    • Thanks for honoring Ruth Buzzi. She was a treasure. I'm glad DAYS let her have some fun. I remember Imogene Coca complaining about ATWT just giving her a drab guest part.
    • It's such a delicious set of circumstances that I'm actually a little surprised that I can't think of ones that exactly match. I've just got a couple of close but no cigars (the reveal wasn't public, like when Alexis told Dominique at her and Garrett's engagement party that Garrett lied about being married; or the revealer didn't come up with the idea of the party). Maybe I need to think some more about it.
    • Not too shabby, making her mark in only six episodes. There's a project for the soap historians -- characters with the least episodes/most impact.
    • Which could make sense , except that we have seen Mariah function for years w/o any real residue pain from her upbringing. Josh decides to randomly make it a thing, when a good writer might foreshadow that for months. It's not like he's just arrived at the show. He's been there for years . Everything seems to be thought out only a few weeks ahead. It's like Phyllis all freaky from being kidnapped when she has done a million other things that didn't seem to bother her at all.
    • Unrelated, sort of, but he looks absolutely nothing like Amanda Setton or Dominic Zamprogna so it's kind of hilarious they decided to make Gio their kid.  It's very clear this was not the original origin story for Gio when they cast him. He is a very handsome guy though.
    • I tend to agree, although going back to OLTL, Frank has so often cast guys who are meant to be attractive yet come across as cold and dead, I'm surprised he managed to get one who has a bit of a pulse.
