Kate was the best thing. Out of the blackout/prison break. Which was pretty meh. Kate's badassery was on full display. I also liked the look on Allie and Nicole's faces. When she told them about shooting Clyde. Kate and Nicole having Martini's. Was also a nice scene.

The blue streak originally started as a tribute to David Bowie. And later LK has said the blue streak represents when Kate is being a bit wild. This SON article has her quotes on it: https://www.soapoperanetwork.com/2014/09/center-stage-lauren-koslow-reveals-intense-days-story-ahead-brings-kates-blue-steak-back-also-forces-character-bring-big-guns

I've been saying it for years, Kate is the last fabulous diva in daytime on contract. She is literally the only one! Lauren can sell whatever they give her. I think this episode was particularly good for her because it sort of had an arc and would be appropriate for a Best Supporting Actress Emmy reel.

I like that she just went right ahead and didn't hesitate to shoot him. She's a better shot than most of the Salem PD, that's for sure.

This is definitely Kate at her best. Using her manipulative charms for good.

I actually have no use for Kate as I think she is played out, but I love Lauren Koslow.  She looks so good and I totally still buy her as a seductress.  I obviously think DH and MBE are better leads, but LK/Kate is by the sexiest of the bunch and such a diva.  I hope the show still isn't trying to randomly pair her with Abe and I do like her in all family scenes.   I am also probably the only Jarlena stan that thought her and John were hot together lol.

I'm behind, but something to look forward to.

THIS.

But Kate (and Lauren Koslow) have always rocked.

Cady McClain was good today. It seemed like she was delivering her lines in the same way that Missy Reeves would. I wonder how long she's going to stick around, especially now that she's on contract.

And though I will never not love the Lani/Kristen friendship, why is the show making it seem like Lani was the only friend that Kristen ever had when Kristen had great relationships with Billie and Jennifer back in the day?

I haven't watched today. I don't even know if I have any comments on the week so far, LOL. I kinda watched most of them in a blur yesterday.

I noticed she delivered the lines and acted like Missy in her first appearance. Good to know it continues. Cady is a pro. She knows Jennifer matters and what Missy brought to it.

Right? Kristen had friends. Billie and Jennifer. Which Tomsell played on when Kristen returned. Jennifer has even been sympathetic about Kristen and what she's gone through recently.

I swear sometimes the day to day writing is all over the place with things.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.
