I think New York is sucking up all the nations available test kits at this point

Did you read the tweet. They have test kits that are not being distributed. This is an attempt to keep the numbers of deaths down in states. Ask the Governor why they are not distributing test kits before you make these kind of accusations. All the states are having  labs they are contacting making test kits because = let me say this again - the federal gvmt is not handling or managing any of it.

I don't see the connection. Marking people safe to get on an airplane is hardly the same as making people wear a star and putting them in cattle cars to concentration camps.  Why wouldn't we want to test people before putting them in a highly contagious situation? It's apples and oranges to say the least.

I get what you're saying, @Juliajms, but I'm just not comfortable testing, marking or tagging anyone -- not even highly contagious people.  I hear/read that kind of language and my mind immediately goes back to those inherently racist and xenophobic "no-fly" lists.

Even if the intentions behind creating such a system are pure and purely for everyone's benefits, I feel like it wouldn't be long before people began to pervert the system, extending it beyond people who are "safe" to travel to saying such-and-such persons can't travel on our airplanes (or trains, or buses, or whatever), because they're coming from places known to be heavily infected with the virus, whether or not they, themselves, are carriers.  I mean, already, I can see Asians being denied passage under the system.

Jerry Falwell continues to be the turd-resembling candy bar cleaned out by the pool boy in Caddyshack.

The first and last time I will agree with Liz Cheney.

Bold and the Beautiful viewer frustrated with soap opera interruptions.

In these trying times, many soap opera viewers are seeing their daytime shows interrupted for federal, state and local news briefings. One woman had enough and complained to Illinois governor JB Pritzker about the constant briefings, which were affecting her ability to watch The Bold and the Beautiful. Pritzker, in one of his news conferences, apologized to the woman and said he too looked forward to the days where they could return to their regularly scheduled programming.

LOL! Do you think there's a video of that?

James Woods and other right wing trolls are still downplaying the Coronavirus pandemic and Trump has been dog whistling it as mostly a blue state issue.

Hantavirus has been around for a very long time. Someone would have to literally come in direct contact with infected fecal matter to get it. It is not spread person to person. There are panic mongers trying to spread more anxiety through social media.

Famed playwright, Terrence McNally, has died because of CoronaVirus.

Now, I'm pissed.

The thought that that brave and beautiful man, whose work often chronicled the AIDS crisis and other issues affecting the LGBTQ community at a time when gay men and women in this country were literally afraid for their lives, had to die of this stupid virus....

I'm pissed.
