I thought the character of Marissa had so much potential. Billy was beat up by a bookie's thugs and left for dead in a parking garage behind Noah's car. Noah accidentally backed up over Billy by accident and was forced by Victor to keep hush-hush instead of turning himself in. Victor also interfered in Noah and Marisa's relationship because Marisa had been married to Luca and was involved in deep with Marco in the past, such as bribing Marisa to leave town and kidnapping Marisa it was thought the Santori's were behind Adam's kidnapping. It didn't help either than Victor sold Noah out when Noah and Marisa went on the run after Billy's hit and run. That and maybe Noah is still upset over Victor having an indirect connection to his porn star girlfriend turned cop's murder. Edited December 16, 20168 yr by soapfan770

Many people say they like Hilary as a vixen but then seem to want her to stop acting like it. How does that work? There are many other characters who scheme, make faces, and manipulate behind another's back. That is a soap. Yet when Hilary does these things, it's a problem. If you want her to be the troublemaker (yes, with some good as well), that's what I think has been playing on screen. When Hilary was talking to Jack, she was being genuine. When she freaked out over the house purchase, she was genuine. When the agent gave her his card, you could see that Hilary is starting to realize her worth. But then if she makes one cold stare or picks a fight, she's considered evil. I just don't see it. If another character did this, like Phyllis or whatever, I don't think anything would be said. Most of us would go with it. And most of all, we'd say it's in character. Again, this is just my opinion. Not starting something. All in all, Hilary is one of my fave characters on the show. MM brings it!! I don't understand it either because I'm loving Hillary just the way she is. This is the type of character I watch soaps for. I was hooked on this show because of Jill & Katherine. And I liked it best when Katherine was MEAN, really MEAN. Once she turned GC matriarch ,visiting everyone in hospital & talking to God, she became boring. Jill the vixen using her wit, and sexuality, to persuade men to do all sorts of things for decades was fun. Her take no prisoners war with Kay, over everything that could be fought over kept me tuning in to the show daily.. None of it was "nice", but it made for great stories. I liked Nina, Phyllis (before she married Nick), Dru, Lauren (before she married Micheal), Chloe, and even villains like Shelia. Once they tame the character she isn't nearly as entertaining. GC has enough mediocre women. We don't need another Ashley, Chelsea, Lily, Summer, or Abby. I see all the complaints about Hillary being too bitchy, but I didn't think so. There is nothing wrong with not wanting to be softened to Devon's liking. It's fun watching her scheme in order to take control of the relationship. Devon surprising her with the penthouse reminds me of Victor with Nikki in the early days. It's smart to rebel right away. In my mind Hillary's still in the Vixen minor leagues, she hasn't done anything really bad, except cheat on poor blind Neil.
December 16, 20168 yr Member I missed the second half of Y&R because Barry had his last news conference. Damn I'm going to miss him. Does Y&R repeat in the evening on another network?
December 16, 20168 yr Member I really liked today's episode I like the relationship that Nick and Noah have. That they support each other and Nick trusts him and that Noah appreciates that aspect of their relationship. I also thought it was nice to see Nick's kids interacting with each other. Summer's birthday was a good excuse to get them all together. Nikki and Victor were basically window dressing but I liked that Victor is being written better. It's just too bad he was a cartoon villain for so long, it's going to take a bit of time. I also liked the scenes at Jabot and Brash and Sassy. Cane and Billy's fight was LOL but I did like Victoria smashing everything. She at least looked a little more business and I sort of liked her with Jack. I just have such a hard time buying Amelia as a tough business woman that Victoria needs to be but they're trying. Soooo happy that Jill is on Monday! Cane didn't bother me today but this whisper [!@#$%^&*] he does has to stop. I can barely hear him at times. At least when he was yelling I could hear him. Gina Tognoni looked so refreshed today and I liked the blue dress she was wearing and how she's back to a shade of blonde. I also like that she's toned down playing Phyllis like she's a man in drag. That's been going a long way.
December 16, 20168 yr Member awe Nick says Christian smiles like Sage, like how SSM Zisnt whitewashing Sharon's misdeeds in Nick's eyesI suspect this is leading to Nick thawingg somewhat for Xmas Red ain't Red anymore, pretty significant, still loving the Nick & Phyllis interactions. Calling it now, CEO Nick hires Phyllis at NE

In my mind Hillary's still in the Vixen minor leagues, she hasn't done anything really bad, except cheat on poor blind Neil. Watching Hilary scheme to take charge of the relationship could have been fun IF she wasn't already in charge of the relationship. Had devon been treating her like crap for a year and she was teaching him a lesson then it'd make sense. Meanwhile that wasn't the dynamic of their relationship. She treated devon like crap every since the coma. He's the injured party who has already forgiven the unforgivable. So to have her pull these stunts and WIN makes her look like a woman who can't be pleased and undeserving of anything decent and he looks like a simp with no self respect or self worth. It doesn't work if the show wants to keep them together. If it's leading to a break up then it was perfectly written.
December 16, 20168 yr Member It's always a stellar episode when the main characters we care about are on. Victor, Nikki, Jill, Paul, Jack, Ashley, Nick & Sharon

It's not even that she's doing evil looks it's that when she does it it's exaggerated. It's very cartoonish. Also, people did say the same thing when Sharon Case was making OTT expressions during the Sully story.
December 16, 20168 yr Member More on today's CDN episode, don't read if you don't want to be spoiled.. Jill was on fire today in all of her scenes, especially with Jack. I loved the flashback scene to her and Jack arguing in his office (it looked like it was from the 80's or early 90's?) Even Billy and Victoria were fun to watch, messing up the office by destroying all of the equipment LOL BTW it does look like the show is acknowledging that it's illegal for Jack to end the lease. Jill and Ashley both reminded him of that but he's determined to find a "loop hole" I could have done without the Nick and Phyllis flirting but I'm willing to give them a chance if that's the direction they're taking. It's not MS anymore so maybe I can get into it. I enjoyed the little details in the episode that we wouldn't have seen under Pratt. Victor & Ashley's brief elevator scene, Victor and Jill trading insults, Paul telling Dylan to go be with his family. That set where Faith had her play reminded me of some of the old Y&R episodes, it just looked so real. It looked like they were at the real school and the background noises weren't too distracting but it felt like I was actually there. Nikki and Sharon's arguments are always entertaining, but Nick pissed me the hell off at the end when Sharon and Dylan asked him to have Faith for Christmas and New Years and instead of politely saying no he acted so appalled. Anyways Faith ends up freaking out and telling them "I want a divorce!" Which was odd? Because Dylan and Sharon weren't fighting. in the preview for the next episode it looks like Faith runs away (again) Edited December 16, 20168 yr by ryanc Added more content

Altman did put Hilary in jack and jill's orbit...and it seemed like Jack was a father figure for Hilary. Had Pissant and Pratt not dropped that element....I could buy that ad her soft spot.
