Thompson doesn't bother me too much as Billy but I see what others are saying. He'd probably work better as Adam had Hartley not taken on the role. He'd work better as Victor's son.

@DeeeDee I certainly have no challenge with JT as an actor, but he's not Billy. Much of this is the writing. Billy was a lovable screw up, but JT is playing an entitled prick. The biggest mistake was having Billy all but tell Jack he was taking his woman. Billy would NEVER!  And I agree, JT plays Billy way too serious. When currentBilly is sitting talking business, I laugh because it's not believable knowing what I know about who he is. 

I'd rather see JT play Cane.

Cane and Chelsea had a little chemistry a while back, if he has to stay, maybe they could revisit that.

I don't think they want to free Lily. That's why Cane stuck in that relationship.

Ravi is now coming across a little better. He doesn't seem like a stalker. Having him interact with others was a good way to round him out. He speaks a different language...math. his sign was Pi. I loved it. 

 

I felt bad for Chelsea missing Adam and I never cared for her or adam or them together. I'm assuming Sally will keep her and nick as friends then turn this toward Phick 2.0. Wish I cared. 

 

It was obvious that there are only a few legit couples with the small amount of NY kisses. 

 

Mariah does something bad and she's the conquering hero. Every failure she has becomes something good. She's never wrong. Ever. Always painted in the best light. The show continues the propping of her. 

 

Chloe's comment about not apologizing about meting out justice. I hollered. 

 

Hilary is "evil" for possibly causing a trip and fall. Out of all the stuff that Hilary has done, this seems like small potatoes. This is what Devon leaves hilary for? It doesnt add up. 

 

With that said, I'm loving the writing for Devon and Hilary. My shipper heart soars as it breaks. I thought their scenes were very well done. Devon's car scenes could have easily fallen into the cringy cheesy category. But BJ pulled that off very well.  Hilary's wall slide was perfectly executed by MiM. It hurts so good. Now, I hope Sally doesn't derail me into BS. I can't take anymore. Not with these two. 

 

I enjoyed the show today as well.

 

I mentioned this up thread, but it's strange to me that the writing for the fall reveal didn't include an actual flashback showing Hilary did it.  Sure, her actions made her look guilty but we still haven't actually seen her do it.  Soaps 101- if it's not shown onscreen, it didn't happen, right?  Maybe I'm reaching.

 

Ravi was less stalkerish and I liked the mix up with Abby thinking he was fixin to go mac daddy on Mariah and introduced them.  I was hoping they'd end up with an accidental kiss at midnight.

 

And I'm in agreement, of all the things Hilary has done this is the thing that causes the spilt?  I seem to recall Devon saying it was the last straw, and that would make sense.  Any well written rivalry or feud, whatever you want to call it, has two characters equally rootable.  Someone should have called her out, like Jack.

 

Apparently there aren't a whole lotta happiness with the show right now, but I like it.  There are a lot of stories that could come from this benefit gala.

 I love JT as Billy i think hes a great actor. I am annoyed Sally brushed Phyllis and Billy under rug. JT and GT had scorching chemistry. I dont see the same with Amelia Heinle.

 

There was some potential for Billy and Phyllis but the writing was trash and it wasn't handled well. Plus there seemed to be a lot of push back about it. I thought they had more chemistry than he does with Amelia Heinle, I agree with that. She seems to drag everyone down.

Im prolly in the minority but today's episode was pretty bad.

 

Almost everyone aside from I guess the supporting characters of Neil and Ashley came off quite unlikeable or boring. 

 

They have to find some substance to give these characters. The core of that reveal is so weak that its eye roll worthy.
