I don't think it is so insane to think Ryan Paevey is better than Billy Miler.  Did Constance Towers or anyone ever have to tell Paevey "speak up, I can't hear you?"   Watching his scenes with CT where he played his brainwashing stuff should have been the eye opener to all GH watchers the guy is a dud.  Watch them, then go on youtube and watch the GH promo with Shawn Cassidy covering pretty much the exact same scene.   Cassidy was ten times the actor Billy is, and he wasn't all that much of an actor to begin with.

Ryan Peavey isn't a very good actor, but he knows how to modulate his voice, is learning how to use inflection, and so on and so forth.   I'd say charisma and presence is all he has, but again that still puts him ahead of Miller.  That he has looks made a porn is a plus, not a detriment, and again that is a dept Miller is lacking in.

GH's cast is atrocious. Outside of Billy Miller's agent, a panting fan press, and his mother, who said he was a big get? The guy is awful. Michelle Stafford was on Y&R forever, and she has potential but she isn't good enough to take this crappy role and make it good. Roger Howarth seemed like was good years ago on OLTL but he has shown there is nothing behind the curtain. He can't do anything except this smarm and annoying crap that he mistakenly thinks is funny.

And who said these guys were ratings winners?  Kimberly McCullough was a ratings winner.  Ten to fifteen years ago Vanessa Marcil was a ratings winner.   Don't you have to win some ratings before you are crowned a ratings draw?

 

In any case, the show sucks.   The entire show is about Sonny and Jason.  They weren't entertaining ten years ago, and they aren't entertaining now.   The show has no villains to speak of, once again is beset by babies, and too many characters have no story.   I don't blame the new writers for the lack of story though, that was a foregone conclusion that when Fluke ended the show would have nothing since Fluke was the only story they had going.   That crappy murder mystery starred too many noobs, and now the noobs are sitting with everyone else in the no-story lounge.  

 

I don't care if they raise Hemingway and Fitzgerald from the dead to write GH, there are no good stories to tell starring Sonny and Jason.  They are badly designed characters--Jason especially.

I'm a little late but I flove this post.  Especially, "the show sucks".  Kill off Sonny and Jason already and go in another direction.  This direction is 20 years old.  Zzz.

I stopped watching shortly after the Corinthos Family Revival Hour began, with Michael weeping at Sonny's bedside. I've had enough. I'll watch Genie edits, and maybe the Jason reveal or a potential return for Robin. (Or if Lucy gets an exit.)

LOL, I'm sorry but Josslyn playing the wedding March on her recorder made me laugh....so stupid....

The Scummy propping was at alarming levels yesterday.  What should have been romantic, sweet and long awaited was a mess!  A complete mess.  Carly apologizing for Bobbie when Sonny needs to hear that and Michael, who is absolutely dead to me, was ridiculous with his speech.  I feel that Jelly is mocking us the same way moRon did.  

 

Joss can go back to Oz until Hannah is available.  She left tough shoes to fill and this kid cannot cut it!

As I said before some will never get this type of writing or show. What she has done in one week is nothing short of miraclous. Numerous characters each slobbering over Sonny yesterday telling the audience what a wonderful man he is is NOTHING we have not seen.  AND it's a lie!  That tells me a change aint gone come.  However, I'm hoping Sonny being paralyzed is the beginning of change.  Bobbie spoke it, so that might be a good sign.  Otherwise, with the exception of Delicious Paul, it was a mess!  

I want to add that Sonny and all the characters in his orbit have had smart writing.  And certainly better scripts.  From the likes of Labine, Guza, Val Jean, Korte, Bennett, Harris, Mulcahey.  What I see from "Jelly" is what I expected.  And it is not intelligent.  It's hackery in the opposite direction of RC's hackery.  To compare any of this to a cable quality show is ridiculous.
