They're both too boring for me to hate, honestly. Paige especially is so lame that she can't get much of a reaction out of me other than being annoyed by her. It's also annoying that the show clearly wants us to root for her and the pairing with JJ, zzz. The actress just sucks the life out of every scene she's in. Jordan still sucks but she isn't quite as bad now that she's out of Rafe's orbit.

I hate Paige. She bores me AND I hate her. I WANT her to suffer and to be in pain -- that's how much I hate her.

Her entire conversation with Daphne was ridiculous and made no sense. She tells Daphne about her mother, and when Daphne makes the SLIGHTEST comment, Paige gets pissed off and screams "Don't talk about my mother!!!" WTF???

Jordan? Hate her and her "I'll squint during this scene to show I'm acting" look.

Nicole's hair looks worse every week. Now she looks like the white Nene Leakes. So bad.

This anniversary seems like it is going to be a huge letdown. They should take a page from GH. I have my problems with RC, but that anniversary year started out strong. Bringing Anna back, killing Jason and refocusing the show with the returns made for a great soap at that time. Classic characters, some mystery, and integration with current stars and good stories. I want to see some favorites in good stories, and tie some of these new people into these broken families!

Please don't put that out into the universe! (That is almost certainly what's going to happen, though.)

The 50th anniversary is actually the one thing I have faith in, given how well they did with Alice's passing and memorial, the Horton Town Square opening, and Sami's final few weeks (in terms of flashbacks/interactions/historical references). I really do think we'll get a bunch of returns and flashbacks and such. I just fear it'll be completely removed from the boring-ass stories going on around the same time, and we'll have all this nice reminiscing intercut with Ben taking Abigail out to coffee and Paige picking used condoms out of her mom's trash to run a DNA test.

I have a feeling you nailed it.

They did do well with Alice's memorial, and other things, so I'm really holding out hope they can wow me with the 50th. They need to pick it up otherwise though because the show just has nothing that sticks out about it at the moment and no one seems super happy with the direction of the show from what I'm reading around the web.

Greta's Coronation anyone? Heh.

But seriously, the show could use another Salem Serial Killer at this point. Beige, Daphne, Daniel ... heck, whack Maggie with that bottle again. Maybe I can care about her again afterwards if she wakes up and hates Daniel and doesn't believe that thing is her egg-baby.

I SO wish they would bring back Belle (Martha Madison or otherwise). She is the obvious choice for one of the female leads. (I say "one of" because I know the character of Belle is very saccharine and sweet and therefore can not produce enough "drama" to be full fledged diva - but her connections to John, Marlena, Hope, Caroline.. literally every character on the show needs to be utilized!

I don't have many thoughts for the week.. Just a few..

1) new character Paul- I like him. He seems like a decent actor for a newbie- however I plead with the writers that he be involved in the WilSon story... I mean their story is so stale right now it's not even on screen!!!

2) congrats to Deirdre hall for getting out of that sling! Has she been out of the sling for a while now? I just noticed! I know she still had it on at sami's departure..

3) loved the convo between JJ/Abby talking about jack- it humanize do him a little more and at least made up slightly for all the jack-trashing the writers have done as of late.

4) Abby/Anne scenes were great! I'm gonna need the Teresa/Abby feud to continue please! They are both powerhouse actresses and need to be out against each other!

5) as for Melanie's return... All I'll say is that I'm really glad that her first scene back was with Maggie.

6) so as for DiMansion being replaced with DiMiniMansion... I'm a little sad but i agree that with so few people living there now the mini set serves it's purpose. I'm really surprised that the mini set looks really nice in my opinion and I'm all for it if it opens up more space for other sets.... Btw did anyone else think that Eric's new apartment set on Friday looked just like ben's new apartment???

7) line of the week goes to Kate... " I don't sunbathe." Haha

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

    • This better be something, because as I said, so far it's just cliches and stereotypes -- the story we've heard a thousand times about the homeless person who doesn't want a home and prefers to live on the streets.
    • @rsclassicfanforever thank you very much for the recent uploads of season 13 containing some episodes that were skipped or glitchy on YouTube!  I had a look at 3172 though and there is no audio for most of it? Would you have a copy with complete audio? Fingers crossed! Thanks again!

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
    • I wish I cared about the homeless lady as much as everyone else seems to. After the nothing burger that was the lawsuit, this just feels like another boring Naomi storyline at Orphy Genes since she has no office.
    • That's great to hear. Thanks. I wish that was more readily available.
    • Just learned that Clifton Davis wrote this song!  I had no idea.

    • I think even if Marland had wanted to write more for Sara/Adam, his hands would have been tied as Robert Milli was one of the actors dumped by P&G due to his age.  From the bits and pieces I've seen of that period, Sara does have a key role in the Carrie plot, and Marland briefly gave her son Tim a more important part. I'm not sure if they just gave up on Tim once Kevin Bacon left or if they never really cared. I did not even know for many years that there was an actor in the part after Kevin...and then not one, but two. The Spauldingfield video on Tim doesn't even show the last actor (Nigel Reed), which kind of says it all. Anyway, I do get the sense Marland has some use for Sara, or for Millette. It's only after he goes that she is dumped. Of course he didn't ever hire her for his other shows, so maybe I'm wrong. (then again he never hired Geraldine Court either and he seemed very fond of her) Ann is an odd character to me as she is a proto-Lillian in being defined by pining for a Bauer brother and being involved in the death of one of their wives. I do wonder what else they could have done with her. She was friends with Diane, wasn't she? They could have had Diane manipulate her against Mike, I suppose.
    • Yassss....come on Maurice and Brandon...give us nothing!!! Wow, their need to develop their craft shone like a blinding light this episode. Brandon in his Martin and Smitty scenes sounded like he was reading and the facial expressions were giving Disney Channel. He did much better against Maurice in the Martin v Ted scenes. Now, Teddd-dyy (Dana's voice) was just flat. I watched the episode just now after reading the comment on here that Maurice needs to stop swaying, and now I can't unsee it. Has it really been this bad all along?  Ambyr carries. I don't need to say anymore. I am kind of excited to see this Kat/Tomas/Eva stuff play out.  Bill is such a dick to Dani. Like that's the mother of your children that you cheated on with your daughter's best friend but you look to take those low blows. Lord! When he said that thing about it being obvious he didn't care about Dani anymore since he was the one that walked out...that was cold. I even felt for Dani. Bill definitely is all over the spectrum. You can see a villain possibly surfacing, but you also see this great father. The elder Duprees move a little funny. I'm wondering what that is all about. Are they just overly protective matriarch and patriarch because they think it's what's best for their family, or are they afraid their secrets will come out or there's something more sinister there. Why would Vernon want to keep that information from Martin?  I hope something interesting comes out of this June stuff, but as of right now, I'm not too invested. It's not helping my interest on Naomi or Jacob either. However, tge actress playing Naomi has comes a long way from day one.
