I'd rather have seen him shot (but not killed), put into a coma, and kept there until a recast was found. Then, he could have awakened from his coma and begun his long, slow, painful road to redemption. Helped along, of course, by Julie, by a returning Jessica and Marie, with Alex Marshall back and attempting to manipulate his grandson into exacting revenge against his assailant(s), depending on who that someone is, which family they belong to, and what shocking, past association with them that Alex shares.

I hated how no one gave Nick a chance after he split from Gabi. Sure he was wrong to try and keep Will from Ari , but I do t think he deserved to be treated like a pariah with everyone looking down on him with unforgiving eyes. I thought the reactions were harsh and extreme. I thought he and Will would have been able to move on as Nick seemed repentant when he was shot but Will didnt care. I think with acceptance and professional help, Nick could have been fine but he rightfully felt he never stood a chance amongst the hypocrites of Salem

Nick sad.png The best character on DAYS is gone. sad.png I think Gabi will turn out to be the killer (for obvious reasons).

He went up against the Saints of Salem and that's no-no. They have the Bradys, most of the Hortons, the Dimeras, and Kiriakis backing them. As if they couldn't prevent the Saints of Salem from losing custody of Ari if it went to court. "Gabi is going to get full custody!" Really?

Yep. This.

Daniel and Rafe as basically the sole leading men with EJ ... um, no thank you. John's a joke thanks to Drake's acting. Tomlin couldn't wait to get rid of any man with an actual pulse and history with DAYS. Bo, Tony, Steve, Phillip, Jack ... all gone. Lucas gets some scraps. If he's lucky. So disappointing.

Losing Nick sucks.

I already miss Nick, he made a good villain, his character arc was tragic and Blake played is so well.

But damn this was a real cold-blooded murder. Looking back at some other whodunits in the past, when the victim was killed in the heat of the moment or during a struggle (Curtis, Colin, Trent) and compare it to Nick who was pretty much executed.

    • He told The Chicago Tribune: ❝ It was a choice I made because I had itchy feet. ❞ Which, to me, reads he wanted to do things outside of the limits of daytime. And, after that, he did end up returning to Dynasty for an extended run and some other primetime work in L.A. Law.
    • I liked they are doing this! A throwback to when they did game show appearances in the past!

    • Well before the craziness starts, I just wanted to say that off of this week's promo...I love that show so far stays playing all the beats. And just when you think they forgot about something or someone mentions a loose end here...it circles back around. I love the attention to those plot details. So far.
    • Sadly, it won't.  If anything, it'll convince the donors and others even further that they were right to push Biden out of the election (never mind that Kamala would've been on standby had he been unable to fulfill his duties as president).
    • Interesting..this is more then likely why I found Reva 2.0 boring and annoying..she had everything she wanted...now what else is there but some outside evil person or clones? It also might have been one of the reasons McTavish had Quint have an affair..it made Nola loose her Prince. But unfortunately they didn't do anything with it but made Nola a sad sack whiner. I wish they had her write a book..of course, some tell all which would make everyone pissed at her, especially Van.   Long was desperate to sideline Van into the Lewis hole. They had Van working at Spaulding again in 85 around the time Alan came back. I would love to have had Henry and Van tired of Alex dragging some nobody blond guy and trying to install him as a Spaulding, and fight to get their part of the company back. They could have used Ross to help them and of course, Billy would be p*ssed off that Van wasn't sitting at home and her old sharpness comes out.
    • I hope this shuts down all the book publicity [clickbait gossip] regarding Biden's mental acuity.
    • I’ve always wondered - why did Wayne decide to leave DAYS in 1984? He and Deidre were at the peak of their success, and their on-screen relationship was so iconic. Three years together just feels too short. Was there a specific reason for his departure at that point?
