RJ is Ridge and Brooke's only child. I forgot when she had him. I'm guessing some time in 04. Same ole, same ole. Ridge was believed to be dead. Brooke humped Nick and found out she was preggers. Ridge came back. Paternity tests were done with I think Jackie rigging them in Nick's favor. A final one was performed and Ridge was revealed to be the dad. This was all around the time Sheila made her last appearance on the show with Massimo's "daughter" and Ridge fell into a damn oven, boiler, some crap but as aforementioned, he survived. However, he shouldn't be a child. He should at least be a teen in high school since he and Hope were kids together. But hey, this is B&B. Consistency never occurs on this show.

That was one Sheila story I didn't care for at all. I hated the fact they had to connect Sheila to Massimo, thus further connecting her to the Forresters. I would've preferred Sheila coming back, terrorizing/whooping Stephanie's a** one final time, and leaving.

Hate jungle Sheila like I loathed Phylsheila and Sarah Smythe, Daisy, and Ryder. A perfectly good villainess ruined by crap stories.

rolling my eyes at them bringing out RJ. I forget Brooke even still has anymore kids. I see they casted this kid with long brown hair so he would look more like TK. IA that he is too young. I get why they wouldn't want a teen but really he should be about Ally's age

I love that Kristen and Felicia got some meaningful airtime and they weren't used simply as extras to fill eats

Tony's gained weight.

Dayzee is at the shelter and will arrive later

Where the heck was Steffy?

The episode was indeed very good. I'm a sucker for the 'From our family to yours' bit.

I'm shocked Tony still gets brought back to the show. Brad must think Paulo Benedeti is a nice guy or something.

Seeing JMC next to his 'daughter' LK who's his girlfriend's doppleganger was a little creepy.

It's funny that we are basically complaining that RJ is his real age LOL

) Anyways... I did really feel disgusted by Eurovision this year and I doubt I'll watch this horrific musical torture in the future. My ears and my psyche will not survive.
    • Regarding the mobster storyline: The scripts, the cardroom set, and the writing for Joey -- are all terrible. They seem to be writing a realistic depiction of compulsive gambling as an addiction, showing that it pops into his head all the time -- it has become hardwired into his brain.  The APA (American Psychological Association) describes compulsive gambling as having a similar effect on the physical brain as drug and alcohol addiction. https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/07/how-gambling-affects-the-brain I think Jason Graham (Doug) is doing an adequate job playing Doug as a compulsive gambler, with the thoughts/urges coming into his head all the time, and being unable to stop. However, the cardroom set is awful and the mobster storyline is a bad cliché, so it's all so uninteresting to watch. I think Mr. Graham is doing the best he can with the crap they gave him to work with. If anyone reading or watching has a gambling issue, check out Gamblers Anonymous.  They have many types of meetings -- in-person, online, video, audio, etc.  They also have resources for friends/family of compulsive gamblers.
    • Today was painful (especially for Philip).  I still feel for Xander. He was clear he was happy sharing and working with Philip. It's just one more betrayal from someone he loved. Going back to last year when he found out about Victor and Fiona, then Alex and Philip. He forgave and tried. Then Philip went behind his back again. He's been walking on the edge for weeks. This is a man who was abused, neglected and has never had any therapy for his horrific past. He has zero coping skills because he's never learned them. I hate this but I refuse to hate Xander
    • Lucy Coe wasn't even this big of a whore.
    • Kate being the one that Alex called was a nice surprise. The cut to her looking all sheek made me instantly get excited for her to get back into business mode. And the Jack reference from when she first came to town (on-screen) was inserted naturally which is always welcome. When they were talking about how much sex sells, I almost got the impression they were sizing each other up in a May/December type of way.  All the Philip stuff was gruesome. I'm happy the show isn't shying away from Xander's ugliness. I love them both, and it just makes me intrigued for the aftermath for it all to be taken seriously. I cheered when Philip spat out at that Sarah knew the truth. I'm on tenterhooks for their eventual confrontation. I was surprised that Kate wasn't a little vicious towards Sarah for Xander's obvious behavior, but maybe that's still to come. How wonderfully entangled is it that both Philip and Shawn/Steve stopped each other from getting the drug. Both equally at fault. Who/what will ultimately save Bo? And with everything going on, is a Salem where it's looking likely that EJ is about to own the hospital imminent?
