Makes sense it's Josh's story been so disappointed with his writing at y and r. It was dark, dull, and disjointed. Jean starts this week what y and r needs is the classic romance she can bring in a sweeping style. I am hoping like I am watching a steamy sizzling romance novel unfold in genoa city.

like Jean hasn't done a dark, dull and disjointed s/l before???

you have pretty high expectations, hope you get your wish, I am not expecting much at all

Hmm, I remember JP's first year at ATWT which included two "dead" babies, two married couples spltting up because of adultery amd a popular character becoming a drug addict LOL.

What classic romance has JP brought to a soap?

I agree that this is def JG's writing with tweeks by the new Hw's writers, but this is def a JFP story!

Are you related to Jean in some way? LOL. Better still, are you Jean?? There's just no validity to your overly optimistic opinion that she will bring "steamy romance" in a "big sweeping style" to Genoa City based on her history at other shows. I suppose, being very gracious here, she's had marginal successes throughout her career, but when people list talented, innovative, provocative soap head writers her name never appears, mainly because she isn't one. She has no history with Y&R. She's a highly unimaginative choice to put in the top spot of a show that needs a strong, singular vision (and not JFP's vision). Why you continue to wax on about her as if she's the second coming of Bill Bell is a puzzle.

Driving story doesn't mean that much in terms of whether the family is good. The Newmans drive story and they've been rotgut for ten-fifteen years. I like Liam (I know many don't), but the rest are worthless.

You're opinion, of course. But the Spencer family feels like a strong addition to B&B's canvas to me. DD has created dynamic character in Bill Spencer, and Heather Tom is killing it as Katie. I even think Caroline works, especially as a more comedic foil to Maya's dour character. The show's had to shift focus, losing Stephanie, Ridge, Taylor and Steffy, all core characters. But it hasn't suffered ratings-wise. If anything, B&B's numbers are stronger, at least in households. I doubt any other soap could lose four leading characters in the space of six to eight months and be doing as well.

The Spencer family is so dull. Their stories are tired already. Probably because they repeat basically the same stories B&B has been doing for years. But I'm not gonna get into a big rant about B&B here since this isn't the B&B thread.

Neither am I. Of course, JP can always surprise me and nail Y&R's unique brand of storytelling. And when she does, I'll be there, eating my words and cheering her on. But if track records mean anything at all....

The show stopped spoiling to Jamey long ago. He and NB went on a bitch fest earlier this year about how JFP refuses to give them spoilers as if they are entitled to them. The few spoilers NB gets are from his friends like that chatty hairdresser who kisses his ass.

Right...so why the pretense. Just admit he doesn't know. But then, being in the know is his livelihood so...

I see alot of praise for BM's performance today but I wasnt feeling it at all. His acting felt so fake and forced. AH came off more genuine than him.

MTS's baby voice was on nerves today. I felt bad for Johnny having to listen to Nikki's monologue about her son.

I wonder how many days will pass for Jill is brought in to redeem the acting in this story.

I am sure Victor and Nikki will be told before Esther and Jill.

I'm going to say we'll get a *Jill Abbott Sighting* by Thursday or Friday...but not before Billy Miller has been able to grind down the last of his molars.

I wonder what the writers will do with Chloe now that she has a clean slate. I just hope they don't put her back with Kevin. Now that she is a free bird, she has so many options for where her character can go. Just no to more Chlovin!

Jill wrote a story on oltl where Dorian hit Jessica and killed her unborn baby. It was a big summer 1999 storyline that climaxed with Dorian on the stand admitting she killed Jessica's baby.

That's exactly where they're going to put her. The only time I found Chloe useful as a character was when she was a periphial character terroizing Lily and even then I thought she was overhyped as a character.

I don't think we are going to see Jill before Thanksgiving when she will be bashed as a bad mother again... That ludicrous music box quest seemed like a lame a§§ excuse to save the pennies to pay Jess Walton and instead the dough on Steve Burton and friends.
