February 18, 201313 yr Member ^^^This is starting to get really annoying. People already whining and complaining about AMC and OLTL before a SINGLE EPISODE has aired, yet alone been produced. I think people are trying to find a fault with PP due to the fiasco last year. You would think that after all the complaining and whining about AMC/OLTL being off the air that people would rather support them then complain about them before they have even come back. We have no idea what the characters and storylines are going to be, so calm down until we have actually seen the reboots. Personally, I would rather see the "edgier" storylines that deal with social issues and stories that are "ripped from the headlines"/relevant to people. I think they will be a nice refreshing change from the same old back from the dead, psychos running loose, DNA tests, doppelgangers etc. that soaps seem to have pushed on us 300+ times a year. +50
February 25, 201313 yr Member I don't consider Amber Tamblyn to be the greatest young actress who ever graced GH. What I saw of her on GH I found average soap teen and I haven't liked alot of her post-GH.

I haven't watched most of her work post-GH (she was funny on Portlandia) but on GH she lost most of her spark after a few years. I blame the writing in part.

February 26, 201313 yr Member Laura's return has just reminded me of how drab she is and how little she brings to GH, how little she's brought to GH since sometime in 1983 or 1984. I think there's still a place on GH for Carly, and through her, Bobbie and Lucas, but I think once the anniversary is over, it's time to say goodbye to Laura, worthless Luke, and their asexual, useless daughter. I'd have Luke make final amends with Laura over the past before he goes on some adventure we'll never see. Lulu moves away with boring Dante. Laura returns to Paris. Lucky is, I hope, never mentioned again, aside from a few of Liz's memories. Farewell to Fascination.

February 26, 201313 yr Member All I care about with Laura is Lesley. Otherwise I'm not interested. Lulu seems like a stranger in their interactions, and everything with Luke and Scotty feels like one of those sad PBS oldies concerts. Nostalgia is a chokehold.
February 26, 201313 yr Member IA. AT was very overrated and her character of Emlily sucked She's one of those young actors in soaps I get so tired of hearing about as a standard for "great acting".
February 26, 201313 yr Member About Amber Tamblyn, she was good on Joan of Arcadia. If anything, I like her more now than I did when I saw her on GH since she annoyed me most of the time there. The writing didn't help, but I found her grating as a child actress. But even her worst day was better than most of Natalia Livingston's acting on GH. I also liked Amber in the Grudge 2 which also had Sarah Michelle Gellar (never liked her) and Christopher Cousins. The Grudge movies were terrible though, I just watched them for some of the actors in those movies. But anyway... Can't stand Michelle Stafford or Sharon Case. Can't stand Michael Muhney in any capacity! I found Erin Torpey standoffish and offputting during much of her last few years on OLTL, mostly in scenes with Melissa Archer. There was really no sister chemistry between them at all. Bree Williamson sucked, but she had more sister chemistry with MA than ET did. But I did like ET early on and I liked her brief scenes with DF/Cris last year. Julie Pinson was my favorite Billie on DAYS. She often overacts but it's fun and she has a lot of screen presence. Krista Allen sucked and Lisa Rinna these days is a total miscast for any daytime role!! Rinna is a competent actress but she was much more suited to daytime in the 90s. February 26, 201313 yr Member Joan Collins was one of an Alexandra Spaulding better than.......Marj Dusay. I loved her as Alex. Don't know who dropped the ball on that one. There was so much potential. All I care about with Laura is Lesley. Oh, the good old dayS....... You would think that after all the complaining and whining about AMC/OLTL being off the air that people would rather support them then complain about them before they have even come back. True dat!
February 26, 201313 yr Member I have never been one for putting down actors, but I watched The Bold and the Beautiful yesterday for the first time in a long time and all I have to say is how can anyone stand to watch Hunter Tylo. She used to be a dream. I don't know what I was watching yesterday.
March 4, 201313 yr Member B&B is still crap. And I don't like Taylor and Eric. It's gross and it feels like more of the same just insert Eric where Ridge was. Now it's like watching two versions of Brooke instead of one.

March 5, 201313 yr Member One year from now, AMC and OLTL fans won't recognize their shows on Hulu and whatever-the-hell-website PP is putting them on. They've already said it's going to be "edgier" and "sexier" and it's going to go "younger." In my humble opinion, that means they're going to look for cheaper and less experienced actors and they'll be going all-out with stunts that not even ABC Daytime would stoop to. GL and ATWT fans will be thanking God PP didn't turn their attention to their soaps one year from now. Nobody on here will admit it. But this is so ridiculously true!!!
