Actually yes, OLTL did it twice in one episode. I think it was a special forth of July episode where Rae Cumming had a dream where everyone dressed up as everyone else. Todd was Viki, Bo was RJ, Ben was a nun, etc.... but during the episode, Bo said something like "Where do you think this is Rae, Pine Valley?" then when Rae woke up, she told Viki she dreamed she was in a weird place and Viki said, "Port Charles?"

Oh on Designing Women, Julia snuck off to sing at some club and Charlene thought Julie had a split personality. As she was trying to tell the others, she said something like "Don't you ever watch One Life to Live."

on an episode of Dynasty, Fallon watched General Hospital. She never said it but in one episode, it showed Jeff comming into the library and Fallen watching it. It was early 80's and showed a clip of Heather Webber talking to someone else.

Roseanne loved both General Hospital and OLTL. She openly said that's why she called her town "Llaford" after Llanview. She not only mentioned the shows, but the character had a dream that she was in Llanview and the actors who played Bo, (original) Clint and Cord all were in the dream. Then in one episoe she watched GH and at the end of the episode, Luke and Laura showed up at her diner.

Anyone remember that Blair Brown show "The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd." In one episode, Molly is serving on jury duty, and another member of the panel hopes she's not called back for a second day. She comments that "I'm not missing All My Children again for this tomorrow." Also, on All in the Family, Edith mentions The Secret Storm. On Will & Grace, Karen gets mad on the phone with Rosario because she forgot to TIVO One Life to Live. On Golden Girls, Sophia mentions Y&R in one of the later seasons.

I remember one episode of Boy Meets World (The one were the whole episode is a horror movie/Scream spoof where everyone is killed) Feeny made a Y&R joke after getting annoyed with all the kids discussing their personal lives rather than his lesson, I think he said sarcastically, "We will return to the Young and the Restless after a short break"

Days has been mentioned on Passions many times over the years, even as far as showing them watch promos for it on their tvs, The show itself has been mentioned on the show as well LOL.

Yes,Rue played Caroline Johnson on AW.

30 Rock had a made up scene with Bo & Hope that Jack and Liz were watching.

On Will & Grace,Rosario stated Jack was on Guiding Light.

Diagnosis Murder did a Y&R episode that played off Victoria Rowell being on both shows.

Also, back in the early 80's,there was a OLTL episode when a character (I think a ditsy secretary at the hospital) was watching other ABC soaps.

    • I saw a conversation yesterday with Liam with the 7 dwarves hat and Steffy -  I know she did not say re: Hope and Liam said - well look at Finn and you forgave him right?      I know I did not hear Steffy say “well but you can’t compare that to…”  For *uck sake someone call the bitch out!?     You’re right, we shouldn’t compare your forgiveness for the dude with devil spawn seed whose daughter locked you in a cage along with crazy stepmom/mom/Grandmother who has also SHOT YOU BOTH - and multiple murder attempts but you have to exist with them / Hope’s part in a takeover which you know was FAR LESS THAN CARTER BECAUSE HOPE IS NOT AN ATTORNEY…. Goodness no, no the same thing at alllllllll.   When they do Steffy’s absence at least let it be because they all find out what a manipulative ho she is in her own right.
    • I think a lot of us still agree with that. I do hope that the resurgence in the soap world with Beyond the Gates will push ABC to either bring back these shows or produce a newer one.
    • So, this was fun. Elsewhere, friendly to polls, a poll on what do you want to see at the Nurses Ball. The Gio reveal got 18%, for Blaze to return & sing also got 18%, for Jennifer Hudson to do a cameo & sing got 10% and for Lucy to lose various parts of clothing got 9% but the huge one was the reveal of Drew/Nina sex which got a whopping 45%!
    •   I liked the effect of the curtains closing. Yeah it was like the end of Act I.   Or maybe they are simply trying to emphasize the drama of the end of an episode -- instead of a random abrupt end that has happened in some prior episodes.
    • I posted this in the behind the scenes thread but I know this thread is busier so wanted to mention it here as well. During their instagram live yesterday, Daphnee Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant mentioned that they will find out this month if the show is renewed for another season. Just a heads up so we can keep an eye out for an announcement and keep our fingers crossed for a multi-year renewal!
    • They haven't explained the ownership of the Bistro, but Doug told Holly the other day he didn't get the job there. Basically Roman just hired Doug on the spot and gave him a room.  It was really nice of Roman.  I don't know if he knows who Doug is or that he stole Julie's necklace.  That was unclear-at least to me.
    • I'm not sure how I felt about it, but I do kind of like that it felt like the show telling us this concludes the first chapter of the series. Could be interesting if they only do it for big aftermath episodes. The biggest mistake with Martin is that it's almost hard to buy his anger because we've gotten no strong scenes with him and his parents. They've all been with Anita/Vernon. I can't even remember him ever even saying one word to Nicole, even in passing.
    •   Thank you! Agreed on both posts. And the comments about Mike Manning are nonsense.
    • I haven't watched yet, but did they explain the current ownership of The Bistro?  Because when RonC was writing, wasn't he applying for work with Sophia?
    • I think Brandon has gotten better in normal day to day scenes, but he’s very over the top when the character is meant to be angry or agitated. I did laugh when she started yelling at Leslie and then when he started to throw all those damn books, lol. He needs an acting coach to work out some of these kinks.
