Members Darn
I can't believe she's almost 50. It just doesn't make sense. On The Good Wife I recall that she was meant to be the same age as Cary, who was 26. Renee was 40 at the time. Bless her skin.
Members FrenchBug82
There has definitely been gossip about him being disliked and being let go for "personal reasons" (and his merry-go-round at AW felt similarly weird) but it is the most frustrating kind of gossip: we get the sense he was disliked by many cast mates but I have never heard anyone with a clear sense as to why.
Members amybrickwallace
I think he is still close with Anna Stuart and David Forsyth from AW. That's about all I've got.
Members John
HBS wanted Gregg Marx as the Sam recast in 2001 but he wasnt interested. I did like Larry Lau as Sam
Members KMan101
I agree. I always liked her too. I'm good with this OLTL reunion, minus Kale Browne, lol. I liked Jason Shane Scott too. I just hated the 'invasion'. Shane Scott could have been a Drew recast instead of them killing off Drew, but I digress ...
Members chrisml
The Rappaport takeover was annoying, and it did permanent damage to Nora's character who had to be dumbed down tremendously for the storyline to work. That's JFP for you. She loves dumbing down women and making stories about the men.
Members KMan101
God so true. I feel like HBS resents that brief time. I can't blame her. 1998/1999 (moreso 1999) was a huge turn off for me. Very very very true on Phelps. She loves dumbing down women and making stories about the men. It's why she likes basic actresses like Sonia Satra and Jensen Buchanan. And all the men do is yell and grab the arms of women. It's sad a female producer is so misogynistic. She also doesn't seem to understand or care for soap divas either (Dorian Lord, for example). I'm shocked Jane Elliot and Tracy stuck around for Phelps entire duration. I guess because she was tied to Luke and Geary. She also seems to live vicariously through women who have her exact same color of hair and style. It's so creepy and bizarre. But I also felt like other writers probably live vicariously through their characters (Marland comes to mind with the men): Nora, Vanessa on GL, various brunettes on AW ... did she force all the women to get the same exact haircut as her or was that just the style at the time and everyone wanted it? Harley on GL was such a fun character until Phelps arrived on the scene. Harley's life became mostly all about Mallet. Members titan1978
I remember HBS commenting on how stupid Nora had to become to sell those plots. She said it all the time back then, as it was happening! And again later during other stories. I used to love that about her, I felt if she was interviewed by a soap mag it was always a good one to read. Once the dust settled, Sam was the only Rappaport I never grew to enjoy at all. A lot of that was Kale Brown, a lot was his dominance and these two incredible women fighting over him. JFP loves him.

Members antmunoz
Kale himself said he’s still close with both actors who played his brothers on AW and OLTL. That includes Mark Derwin.

Members Vee
Does anyone remember exactly how Nicholas Walker's Max left the show in the early Malone/Gottlieb era? The last I remember seeing of him on YT was in September '91, arguing with Asa. How did that relationship resolve before they were back to feuding? Or him and Lee Ann? It seems like the Lee Ann thing was a Rauch holdover. Did Walker's Max meet Luna? Edited August 4, 2020 by Vee
