Plus this news simply doesn't help him. He's not going to get any sympathy vote. Nobody is going to look at him catching the virus and think that's a reason to give him four more years. His whole thing has been to play down the virus and claiming "we've turned the corner." Now he's in quarantine and it looks like most of his inner circle is going to eventually test positive. In no way is this good news for Trump.

Exactly. He spends at minimum the next two weeks of the last stretch of the campaign in isolation being seen as ailing and on the verge of death. The entire GOP is thrown into disarray for fear of coronavirus. The SCOTUS process may even be derailed or delayed. And this is some brilliant scheme? Nope!

And it didn't have to be this way.  All the WH and GOP had to do was listen to the scientists and health experts.  If they had simply taken this virus seriously from the start....  Oh, well.

I just don't want to see this man come back stronger and tougher two weeks from now saying it's not a big deal and it's just like the common flu and yadayadayada. 

 

Side note: Despite what's going on, we better not be deprived of a Pence/Harris debate!

Don't you mean three?  You know Pence doesn't enter ANY room with a woman unless "Mother" is accompanying him.

      They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.

      ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.

      Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
