Absolutely. I guess it just saddens me, as the gag rule did last week (which was so extreme yet didn't get much coverage for that basic fact) because I can already see how smug most of Congress, state legislatures, etc. will be over this EO if it goes through. It's part of what a lot of them wanted, as many of them absolutely hate lgbt people (as they also hate women in general). They get what they want and they don't even get the real blame. I just have to hope that those out there fighting to make a difference will carry the day.

I think most of that Congress is scared shîtless, actually. And they should be. A lot of this shît is stuff they could lean on while not really wanting or expecting to have to expedite - just red meat for the base. Starting with Obamacare repeal.

A rather lurid and vulgar bit of anonymous gossip from our friends at Lipstick Alley, with the names changed, reads as follows. Huge grain of salt:

• Claims that Ivanka is a pawn of her mother, who is "always in her ear" and that Ivanka can't stand Melania.
• Claims Melania lives solo with a nanny and a "behavior analyst therapist" for Barron on the top two "vacant floors" of Trump Tower.
• Claims Trump doesn't like his male offspring - "they are momma's boys". Says he prefers Jared Kushner, "likes ppl who are mirror images of him in some way." Claims Ivanka is unhappy in the marriage but enjoys other men on the side.
• Claims the sons hate Kushner; "[Trump] knows this and likes it. He likes to make people, even family, compete against each other."
• Claims Trump's eldest son is a "serious drinker" out of control. "Had to be escorted out last night. He hates his father's guts, and has since he was a boy."
• Claims "[Trump's] father died from Alzheimer's. There are concerns"

Unlike Paul Ryan (and some Democrats), Sally Yates has a backbone.

 

 

I have a feeling that everything Trump has accused others of doing, he has done himself. He does his best to surround himself with those who are like him and think like he does. 

 

 

That gossip has more drama than Y&R right now.

I believe the stuff about the sons. I don't believe Ivana Trump is some puppetmaster sending her daughter out into the front. Ivanka always seems very self-determined to me, for better or worse.
