Here are a couple of blasts from the past!

Andrew, in particular, was a familiar face in tv and movies before and after RH. The story supposedly is that RH let him go after 2 years because they feared the audience identified him too strongly with his "Dirty Harry" film role. But he appeared in a lot of tv shows in the 70s and 80s. And he also played Liberace in a tv biopic.
Nana was pretty young, around 20, and it was one of her earliest tv roles.

Oh!  I do remember this face of Frank Ryan, but I didn't pay much attention to actor names back in the 1970s.

Garek was such a completely different character!

The only Ryan's Hope actor I paid attention to follow as an actor was Kate Mulgrew.  I was stoked to see Mary Ryan as Janeway.

I'm game. Heck, whenever I watch an old movie or tv show and see a familiar character actor, I'll often say "he was on Star Trek" or "she was on a soap"...sometimes both. Those are my biggest frames of reference, lol.

@janea4old I know between DS9 and RH, there was also Casey Biggs (Damar) and James Sloyan (Dr. Mora, Odo's Bajoran "father").

The simplest way to do this is to go Memory Alpha
https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Portal:Main

It has every episode of every Trek series including the animated ones, and every Trek movie.  The cast are listed at bottom of each episode with links to their IMDBs.

You could start with the main cast and frequent recurring cast of each show.  (Too many guest cast -  but they could be added much later on.)
