I noticed not many people in the Mexico WTA tourney. It could be because Konta is playing .😂😂😂 it looks like it's been like that all week. And I just noticed Konta coach on camera picking his nose with his fingers...gross.

And guess who Bouzkova practiced with before the tournament?

Yuck. Glad I missed it.

 

Earlier this week I tried to watch Konta vs. Fernandez and couldn't get through the match. The court is slow as hell and  it made me notice, for the first time how unslightly Konta's technique and movement are. Usually I am loathe to call technique ugly (unless it's Gulbis' forehand) because I generally can appreciate unorthodox styles and recognize that if everyone played perfect textbook tennis, it would be boring (at least for me) but this week, I realized what so many people were saying about watching Konta play.

It's been canceled. Players are already there practicing and they just had a tournament there. I guess Miami will be canceled too.

Some players are upset and a majority of tennis fans are upset too.

Can't say I'm surprised but still...wow!

Brad Gilbert didn't sound too happy and other tennis media were in shock. TC just broke the news. 

 

Its the only sport to cancel a major event. Golf is still going on...so is baseball.....basketball.......why just tennis?

Such short notice for all the people who had to travel from afar.  Also, I heard that points are coming off.

Tennis skews much older, in terms of demographics.  Also, I read that there is a confirmed case a few miles from the venue. Once an area has a confirmed case nearby, it moves to a different phase-- I think it's called community transmission, or something like that.

Where did you hear about the points coming off @DramatistDreamer?
