Hey Phoenix, you are so right on about Steve and Kayla. I was there for their beginning and am still here now. Thank goodness the writing has improved for them and time goes on I think DrewH may come around! Well a girl can dream can't she?

Coming out of lurkdom to say I LOVE Steve and Kayla. They don't seem at all awkward to me. They actually appear to be natural together. I think the biggest issue for a lot of newer viewers is that the writing for their story pretty much wandered endlessly months, so once Steve did remember, the reunion appeared rushed. That's a prime example of poor writing. However, I thought the actors carried those reunion scenes off with flying colors. That love scene was very emotional.

However, although some people saw chemistry, "Nick" and Billie seemed extremely awkward to me. I didn't see any fire at all, just two very messed up (and quite frankly) depressing people. I guess it might have worked if their relationship didn't feel like it's sole purpose was to give Steve something to do until a real story was worked out, but I see more chemistry between Steve and Kayla than Steve and Billie.

Patch and Kayla are an awesome couple. The thought of anyone thinking he should be with Billie is sacriligious! It's like wanting Hope to end up with Roman, or Marlena to hook up with Jack. Eww!!
