Please TPTB bring back Tricia Cast as Nina Webster!!!

Trecesa: You started out in soaps as Christy Duvall on Santa Barbara. A lot of people forget about that character.

Tricia: Yes! I was on that show for a year, it was the show's second year I think but I was only on it for a year. I liked the character… she was kinda wild.

Trecesa: Yes, but nobody remembers her because of Nina's popularity. Everyone loves and remembers Nina and she has a pretty big fan base.

Tricia: Nina was a dynamic character. She was well written and I think one of the few, if maybe the only character, that went through the kind of transformation she did.

Trecesa: How was the character introduced?

Tricia: I seem to remember that my first scene was in a hospital room. Nina was a runaway. The first scene I remember was in a hospital room… maybe she was going to see Cricket but I can't remember why she'd be in a hospital room.

Trecesa: That sounds like when Rose De Ville took your baby. Would you have liked for Nina to eventually have found her son?

Tricia: Yes, definitely. There would have been a lot to that story.

Trecesa: Would you ever consider returning to the show to tie up those loose ends?

Tricia: Yes, I would love to, but they have to ask me back; I would love to be part of a compelling storyline.

Trecesa: Nina's son Phillip is a Chancellor now.

Tricia: Well, Phillip was always a Chancellor because of his father but now he's related to Katherine Chancellor too!

Trecesa: A lot of fans want to know if you still watch the show and keep up with your former cast mates.

Tricia: My husband and I watched it the other day for the first time in about a month. It's like checking in to see how everyone is doing. Kristoff (St. John, Neil), Michelle (Stafford, Phyllis), Christian (Le Blanc, Michael Baldwin) and Lauralee (Bell, Christine Blair) - we all keep in touch. We write letters to each other. Those guys are like family. Even though I'm not there they know I will be if they need me.

Trecesa: Have you had a chance to catch up with Scott and Melissa Reeves (ex-Ryan, ex-Jennifer Devereaux, Days) since they moved out here?

Tricia: No. I knew that they'd moved out here. We haven't run into each other yet but it would be great to see them.

Trecesa: When you left the show, it was quiet.

Tricia: Yes, it was done very quietly. I had just married my husband and I wanted it to be quiet. I wanted to kind of lose myself and that's what I did.

Trecesa: Have you done any acting since you left?

Tricia: I did the 48 Hour Film "Fay in the Life of Dave" and I did a play called "Good-bye Charlie" at Chaffin's Barn. It was about a playboy who dies and comes back as a woman and he ends up falling in love with his best friend. I also did David Ives; All in the Timing at the Darkhorse Theatre here in Nashville. I portrayed a stutterer and all of the dialogue was in a made up language. It was challenging and very rewarding!

Trecesa: Sounds interesting, so you haven't given up acting at all.

Tricia: No. (smiles) This is what I do, you know. It's in me. When I auditioned I went in there knowing that I could do that; I could get that part!

Trecesa: So do you want to do anything else?

Tricia: I've written a short movie that I'd like to shoot and of course I want to direct it as well.

Trecesa: And what about this movie you just did?

Tricia: Shudder is a horror movie and I have always wanted to do a horror movie. (Tricia's husband Bat says that she would come home every night covered in fake blood). I just had so much fun with it!

Trecesa: When does it open?

Tricia: It will open this spring at the Belcourt. It doesn't have national distribution yet, but we're hoping!

Well, I would happily welcome her and Phillip back... how they would play into the show, I don't know. But I would definitely love it more if it involved Katherine and Jill.

I'd love Nina back. One of my all time Y&R faves.

It would be friggin awesome to have her back! While Nina wasn't always my favorite character, Tricia Cast's talent is undeniable. Easily one of the best actresses ever to appear on Y&R.

I absolutely loved when Tricia Cast was on Y&R....I don't recall much of the early days when she was friends with Christine (uh, Cricket back then), but I do remember the Nina/Ryan/Victoria storyline.

It would be great to see some former cast members brought back on the show.

It would be great if she came back, but I don't really see how she would fit in anymore. Unless she was more involved with Kay.

I agree Y&RWorldTurner, with Ryan off the show, where would she fit?

They could probably play her into raising her son to take over the Chancellor money one day, but I don't know. She could even come on to the scene to be Victoria's worst nightmare and take a liking to Brad.

There are possibilities, but it's very limited.

I finally got to see her! I had finished watching an eppy of ATWT from 1989 and the first 10 minutes of GL were on the tape and they showed a promo for Y&R with Jill, Kay and Nina. Jill was telling Kay she made someone drink, Kay said with Jill for a mother, who could blame him, then Nina runs in telling them to stop it.

Oh how I'd love to see classic Y&R! :(

BTW, Jess Walton needs to grow her hair out. She looks FIERCE!

She could have lots of story possibilities. Nina was never boring. She could have a scene with almost anyone. I hope she comes back. It would be nice to see her again. Phillip and her newly discovered son could be bitter enemies. :)

oh god no. I hated her!

I loved Tricia Cast and Nina. However, the character was sort of ruined for me when she tried to commit suicide over Ryan. That was totally bogus. The thought of Nina and Phillip IV moving into the mansion with Jill and Kay could be loads of fun. Jill would definitely try to take over -- especially with Billy gone. And now that he is related to Katherine by blood, etc. Bring her back. I'd love for her to find her son again. I vote for Kevin. Glo got him from Rose because she lost her baby with Tom and tried to pass him off. (The only downside is that Kev and Michael wouldn't be related and I like that relationship.)
