As of this episode, I am done with Days for good. I hope we Carrie/Austin fans get the happy ending we so deserve, and have been waiting 14 years for. It would be totally insulting for Hogan to cater to the Sami fans and make the Carrie/Austin departure even more painful for us fans than it already is. :(

Well you still have Passions Rion....... :)

I can't imagine not wanting to watch Days the way it is now, if it was still in the same shape it was at this time last year, then I would understand why people would want to tune out.....

Preach Rhiannon!

I too find it insulting they're marrying A/C and sending them off in one day. It's kinda pathetic.

Oh, well. I'm loving the show too much to be mad about it anymore.

While sending Carrie and Austin off in a 4 episode arc is kind of a kick to the fans, I'm not that upset about it. It's just the way Hogan writes. He writes fast paced. I'm sure if JER was still around, we'd have weeks of Carrie and Austin before they left, but they would be saying the same thing over and over aggain.

What could they possibly do with the characters? Everything that could be done was done. Carrie and Lucas are no longer married. Carrie and Austin found out the truth. Carrie confronted Sami. Carrie got revenge on Lexie. What else is there for them to do?

Tributes, flashbacks, goodbyes, a proper wedding, a proper send-off. I'd hardly call Carrie's scenes with Sami and Lexie any type of closure on the story.

I'm sad that this is the end for A/C. But there's so much going on, Hogan's so busy setting up new stories... would it really make sense at this point to spend alot of time focusing on two characters who are going to be gone soon, anyway? I'd rather use what time I had to set up the new material for characters that viewers were going to be invested in for the long-term.

Still though, as an A/C fan from the early days, I'm a little sad. :(

ITA Kenny! Couldn't have said it better. Out with the old, in with the new.

Well, yeah. You're not a big A/C fan so why would you care?

I didn't give a rat's ass when it was J/J.

But I recognized that they have fans and plenty of story left. Saying that A/C are done and have no story is just silly. Welcome to soap operas. It's never ending storytelling. Being creative and making new stories for characters who have been through it all....that's what soap operas are.

Whatev. I'm sick of beating this horse.

I understand where you're coming from King. I'm an Austin/Carrie fan as well. Austin/Carrie/Sami/Lucas is what got me hooked on DAYS in the mid-90s.

As of right now, people need to go and I'm sorry, but Austin and Carrie are expendable. They're not needed right now and could be sacraficed. Of course there's story to tell for every character, but when the soap needs to cut people, fans are going to be upset. That doesn't mean you stop watching the show. You get hooked on new material that interests you. What were you doing before Austin and Carrie got together? What were you doing when they weren't on the show? There's other stuff to seek interest in.

Yes it does. They are my favourite couple. I waited 6 years for Carrie to return, only to get smacked in the face like this. I don't intend on waiting another 6 years. You can only fool me once.

While it could've been done better, there are so many who had a worse exit. Remember Nicole?? That was a shotty exit if I ever saw it. How about Mickey, a character that has graced the scene since the shows inception in November of 1965? The mere mention of him can be insulting at times.

However, If I wanted to tune out, I could've done it in May when Alex North and Marnesia was driving me crazy, and Bo and Hope had no movement in their storyline. I could've tuned out when the show comprised of flashbacks and shotty dialouge that a two year old would find insulting.

I'm loving Days for the first time since......1992 or so, with the exception of 1997 and 1998. It's just now good for the first time in years, and I can see that I'm not the only one who thinks so.

I'm glad you're all enjoying the show, but as a JER fan, I'm not exactly rooting for the show he got fired from.
