Without knowing the intimate details (and we likely never will), we can just go on what others have said. Knowing Anderson flat-out said if they did not produce ahead of time, they would not be in business, and she spoke on that after being on the writing team as recently as 2019.
In all of the behind-the-scenes photos/videos, Sweeney is wearing both an engagement ring and wedding band. But that doesn't necessarily mean we could see the mystery man we know she's been seeing (IIRC, she did mention seeing someone during her last visit to Salem).
