And that's why there is a casting call out for Mac under alias "Amy" (so it will moreso be Kay). Things just seem like they lead to Katherine, first her and John at the hospital, subtle hints there, and then earlier this week she mentioned how she has to protect her legacy.

I'm a Dru fan first, but if TPTB think that killing Jill or Katherine or ANY OTHER vet (except Brad who is kinda useless ) for that reason will be a good idea, then I may have to go on hiatus!

That will be Y&R's biggest mistake where the fans are concerned. If the show thought fans were in an uproar over Cassie's death, let them feel the wrath when we find out Katherine is being killed and it wasn't based on Jeanne Cooper's decision to leave. HELL HATH NO FURY!

You got that right Drew! I didn't mind Cassie, and I was a bit upset with JD, but letting go Jeanne Cooper who hasn't seen a story in YEARS would be AWFUL.

I can't beleive that I am saying this because I don't leave because one person gets let go or leaves on there own, but if Y&R does this I WILL be done with Y&R.

I seriously, seriously doubt they would be that stupid to kill off Katherine or Jill.

However, LML has made me wonder and this would fall in step with my 'She belongs on ABCD' mantra.

If they kill off Katherine it would be a big mistake and then I will need to start campaigning for a 'Dream Sequence'.

Well it's just a rumor but even thr rumor says "tragedy" not "death," so maybe Katherine or Jill has some kind of accident/illness that affects the family. Maybe we'll find out they aren't mother/daughter or something?

I just was reading over the Knots Landing interview to see what they said about Latham and her husband Bernie and some of the comments have me worried...

John Pleshette: I can’t stand them. I think they’re awful people.

When asked why he never wrote another episode for the show he said, "They were furious that I criticized the script. They were infuriated by attempts to make it funnier. I think that show could have been funnier."

If you look, Jeanne Cooper has been VERY vocal about her disappointment in her lack of storyline as well as that for Jess Walton and Eileen Davidson. If John Pleshette was let go for criticizing their script, surely they wouldn't like Cooper going to the press with her disappointment.

But the odd thing is, Joan Van Ark mentions that they didn't like the actors giving them their opinions, but since joining Y&R Latham has said she has meetings with the actors and collaborates.

AS: So you really didn’t like what they were doing with Val at that time.

Joan Van Ark: No I really didn’t. I’m thinking of two particular writers who liked making fun of Val. Before, I’d go to David Jacobs, who was the creator and executive producer of the show and I’d talk about certain scenes and tweak them, but in this case I didn’t object or confront the two writers … there wasn’t allowed to be a dialogue.

Joan Van Ark: They came into a show that was established and … I really don’t know if I should be saying this here … but there was a little bit of turning it upside down. God bless ‘em for going on and having successful careers (after Knots) but it became more and more challenging to play Val the way they wrote for her.

Can you imagine if she were still playing Gloria?!

Well hopefully if it's Katherine, the idea is shot down. Viewers will not accept this. I was very pleased with Lynn and Bernie at Knots and I've been loving her this year, but that would be unforgivable and I would probably quit watching in protest.

The only senior citizen I want to see leave is Gloria Fisher Abbott as played (terribly) by Judith Chapman.

When Y&R says "tragedy" it often means death. Just wanted to get the ball rolling early in protest if TPTB think they can surprise us by killing of Kay.

Dru and Phyllis are 100% safe, they're too well liked by Latham to be dumped. Plus she's bringing on a love interest for Dru and there was word in SOD that they were considering bringing back Olivia. The Winters are back in full force. BTW, why do you think Neil is safe and not Dru?

But Paul is a good guess what with him being involved in that stuff with Brad. I hope it's just a tragedy that will lead to a big story and not another death. After Cassie and now John, it would be too much.
