  1. Mia needs to get the axe. Go be engaged while not divorced from your last john.
  2. I had it recorded and watched it this evening - a great episode and so fun to see the photo of Ann Blyth and Angela from their days at MGM.
  3. From what I can tell of the narrative, Joan is Alexis, and Elizabeth is a different character tied to Blake who comes to a bad end.
  4. A very, very creative and skilled person created these Dynasty prequel trailers called Dynasty: 69:
  5. I fear for Lauren Koslow on recurring. 2 episodes in December. 1 of which was for Christmas, where her absence would have been glaring. I wonder if the exit of AA might be helpful for her in the long run?
  6. Best & Worst of the Housewives 2023 BEST RETURN: Tamra Judge, RHOC. Let's face it, love her or hate her, Tammy Sue is a bad person, a friend to no one, and a great Real Housewife. One caveat is Tamra's penchant for producing is going to be her downfall because nothing she does is organic and it's like she's forgotten how to exist in the RH universe. WORST RETURN: Kelly Bensimon, RHUGT: RHONY Legacy. Kelly is as insane and delusional as ever. If she thought a return to the Housewives would somehow alter the perception of the audience, or boost her business, she is sorely mistaken. Her attitude is nasty, entitled, and idiotic. BEST FRIEND OF: Jenn Fessler, RHONJ. Any woman who bursts onto her franchise candidly admitting to plastic surgery and having sex with James Gandolfini is good in my books. She is a hoot and added much needed levity to an otherwise increasingly toxic show. BEST EXIT: Lisa Rinna, RHOBH. Ding dong, the witch is gone. This latest season has proven that Rinna was surplus to requirements and is not missed in the slightest. Her exit paved the way for a revitalized Erika Girardi and the exposure of Kyle Richards for the vicious bitch many of us always knew she was. BEST NEWCOMER, Part I: Monica Garcia, RHOSLC. While we wait with baited breath to see the conclusion of SLC, and the ultimate fallout, there is no denying that Monica added drama to this season. Whether she burns hard and burns out is yet to be determined. WORST NEWCOMER: Annemarie Wiley, RHOBH. Sure, she's got the shoulders and jawline of Mike Tyson, but this recent addition fails to pack a punch. Flopmarie attempted to weaponize her medical background and dismiss Sutton's esophageal condition, but a tsunami of audience backlash, supported by Dr. Nicole of Miami and Dr. Moon of Dallas, crushed Flopmarie's accusations. While her husband might rate her a solid 8.5, Flopmarie should be a one and done and be relegated to Housewives history after the end of this season. BEST TREND: Guest Appearances. If we can't get back our faves as full time housewives, then we'll happily take the guest appearances that spread across most franchises this season. There are parallels to be drawn between the Housewives guest appearances we've been treated to this year, from Camille Grammar, Denise Richards, Kim Richards, and Faye Resnick on BH to guest returns on our soaps from a beloved vet. WORST TREND: Rebooting. I am not a fan of nuRHONY and I think rebooting a franchise has set a dangerous precedent and like the Frons years at ABC Daytime, has shown that Bravo is becoming youth obsessed and happy to dump their longstanding talent in pursuit of younger demographics. MOST CRINGEWORTHY MOMENT: Drew Sidora singing to Ralph at the RHOA Reunion. While Ralph Pittman is, indeed, the pits, Drew's rendition of Throw Us Away, which had serious 1990s Vh1 Divas Live undertones, had reunion host Andy Cohen visibly uncomfortable. BEST FEUD: Heather vs. Everyone, RHOC. As Heather offloaded her Newport Coast mansion for a massive windfall, the balance of the cast didn't seem to have a good word to say about her. But Mrs. Dubrow fought back and won over audiences, much to the surprise of Tamra Judge. WORST FEUD: Whitney vs. Everyone, RHSLC. Whitney Rose tried to drum up a feud with each and every one of her cast members in a desperate attempt to be relevant. Audiences weren't buying it and Whitney proved that she's no longer needed on the show and should probably face the chopping block. BEST ALLIANCE: Garcelle and Sutton’s friendship, RHOBH. These two, a perhaps unlikely pairing, understand the meaning of friendship and I sincerely hope we never see them turn on each other. WORST ALLIANCES: The Green Eyed Bitches, RHOP. As RHOP teeters into toxic territory, there is a gruesome twosome, plus a sidekick, that are the root of the rot: Gizelle, Robyn, and Ashley are making this show less and less fun to watch as they stoke an ugly feud with new cast member Nneka with their foe, Wendy, that has left the newbie looking mean and petty. All three display a level of hypocrisy BEST QUEEN OF THEIR CITY: Karen Huger, RHOP. They don't call her The Grande Dame for nothing. Karen Huger stays funny, stays fearless, and stays fabulous. As she reached a milestone 60, Karen's proven that age looks good on her. BEST QUEEN OF THE FORMER OG’s: Luann de Lesseps, RHONY. The Countess cannot ever be counted out. From UGT to Crappie Lake, Luann is game for anything that Bravo wants her to be involved in and the audience is generally very happy to see her. She's evolved from a haughty, uptight Countess, to an evolved single girl who can laugh at herself. Honourable mention to Sonja Morgan, Luann's partner in crime for both Bravo ventures this year. I hope we see more of both of them in 2024. In Memoriam to Vicki Gunvalson's Bravo career - I believe the Wifetime Achievement Award she got at Bravocon was actually a goodbye present and Andy Cohen's attempt at closing the door on the OG of the OC. BEST SHOW: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. One of the most consistently watchable franchises, this year has been particularly satisfying for some viewers as Kyle Richards found herself in the hot seat and unable to wriggle out of her own admonition to "be honest!" MOST IMPROVED SHOW: Real Housewives of Orange County. This show was likely close to the verge of cancellation during the Covid years when it seriously faltered and struggled to get casting right, but with newcomer Jenn and returning housewife Tamra, it was a return to form. If Alexis joins in 2024, expect fireworks. MOST TOXIC SHOW: Real Housewives of Potomac. This is the first time I have struggled to watch the show and get through episodes as the fights are not fun and never ending among most of the cast. Throw in grating individual scenes with admitted golddigger Mia and there's little to like about this franchise aside from Karen Huger. MOST DISAPPOINTING SHOW: Real Housewives of Atlanta. This show is in desperate need of intervention. Not one memorable storyline in years. The fun shade is gone. The self producing cast members (cough, Kenya, Marlo, Drew, cough) have run amok, and the show feels like it's running on fumes. A major retool is needed.
  7. Indeed - this look proves that Jess remains ready for action as Jill, so long as hair, makeup, and the wardrobe department does their job. This is probably the last time on the show where they didn't costume her as if she was styled by Chico's: Jess has said her favourite time, style wise, for Jill was the 1990s when she was in her peplum suit era. That's all wardrobe has to do: rotate peplum suits and some decent jewelry.
  8. I believe Jess is open to working more and has better availability. The last few years were very hard for her as her late husband dealt with with a recurrence of cancer. She has since downsized from her ranch into a more manageable home and all of her grandchildren are no longer babies - she had been helping her children with them.
  9. Condolences to Sherri Saum and RIP to Kamar. 56 is way too young to go.
  10. The concluding episodes are now up on Netflix and I have finished them. The show ended strong. The writing for the last episode managed to tie The Queen's story into a bow, despite it being set at an ending 17 years prior to her actual death.
  11. SLC Finally caught up...it's been a pretty good season and I think there is going to be payoff next week. Whitney, however, is a serious false note. She is being extra annoying this season and trying to create a storyline with whatever conflict she can conjure up. BH Another good episode. Kyle clearly doesn't want actual friends when you see how she's treated Dorit. The moment Dorit gave her even the slightest reality check or spoke the mildest sympathetic words of Kathy, Kyle flips out and ditches her. All Kyle wants are 'Yes' people. Speaking of Dorit...she took a well deserved beating at Taco Tuesday. Garcelle, Sutton, Denise, Erika, Crystal...they all dealt body blows and she was taken out. Erika was happy Sutton made out with her driver. She didn't judge it. Dorit did. Erika is much more likeable than she has probably ever been. Good for her. Flopmarie can f*ck right off my screen. I just want to reiterate that she was dead wrong about Sutton's narrowing esophagus. Dr. Tiffany Moon did a great post about it on her Instagram, and she nuked Flopmarie.
  12. I will tune in for Jackie. She deserves a moving tribute.
  13. I was just coming on this thread to post it. What a spectacular, reverential, memoriam.
  14. Absolutely. The reboot, overall, was absolute crap and so boring and dumb. This show is firing on all cylinders. Kristen proved to be a great addition. She's a lot more confident than she was her first time on the show.
  15. I did! The first two episodes. It is so, so good. So funny. A great mix and the casting of RHONY Legacy ladies was perfect. 10/10 - if anyone is missing out on it, give it a chance.
  16. Apologies for my mistake. I presume what you’ve seen is on Twitter/X which I don’t use. LK on Instagram is what you’d expect. Lots of fashion, David Bowie, animal welfare/dogs, natural/holistic medicine, and lots of RFK Jr accounts. Nothing of any specific political note.
  17. No. LK is not MAGA. She has never made a single statement in support or Tr*mp or anyone of his ilk. But she does agree with Robert F. Kennedy’s views about vaccination and Covid, which I wholeheartedly disagree with.
  18. I have never seen this. Very interesting. I bet Ronn could write a helluva memoir. Although he played Ridge as the ultimate himbo, in reality Ronn is really well spoken and seems both forthright and kind. Krista and Lauren Koslow had the best chemistry. Now that LK has been dropped to recurring at DAYS, I had momentarily hoped she might get to pop up on B&B and jazz up the Spencers...but seeing what Brad just did to Krista...no.
  19. Indeed, the SAG Memoriam is like that of BAFTA and the British Soap Awards. There is no cost to use footage because the clips are so short, so they fall under the fair use exceptions in the Copyright legislation. Instead, it's that the Academy is simply so lazy and heartless that they do nothing to honour the people who created and sustained the industry. I only hope Jackie Zeman, Andrea Evans, Billy Miller and all the other talented performers that died this year will be properly remembered by SAG as Jeanne Cooper, Stuart Damon, and John Aniston were. Apparently, National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences doesn't give a damn. The country is utterly fucked. I thought it interesting that Susan had notes for her speech, but didn't look at them once and went off book. She went with her heart. What a classy person. I hope there is big success around the corner for Krista Allen. I love both Olivia Newton-John and Suzanne Somers...but I agree. If excluding them would have meant Jackie Zeman and Andrea Evans could have had a moment of footage in tribute, I'd have been for that.
  20. I'm glad to spot the back of Lauren Koslow's head, with Kate clutching a martini.
  21. Nice, sure...but I did not appreciate that he was singled out while other actors were shelved into the Memoriam. Exactly. The Memoriam was OK - but I think given the magnitude of performers who died, they could have done a tribute to several of them incorporating at least a moment of footage. The BAFTA and British Soap Awards do it and it's so effective and beautiful. No offence to the performer of the song, but had they used simple instrumental music, this could have been easily accomplished. Yes, Liza commented on Instagram that she had long been estranged from her parents when Helmut died. Susan was clearly emotional in her speech but given she's never discussed the estrangement, I thought it interesting that she specifically paid tribute to her son. I really liked how Susan pointed out the actors she'd worked with who were now elsewhere. Although I doubt she'd do it, I would love to see her guest on Y&R and share a scene with Peter Bergman. They have always seemed to have a warm friendship over the years. He has always seemed like a kind son in the little snippets you'd see of him over the years when La Lucci was interviewed. Just my two cents but I hazard to guess that Liza is the problem given Susan (& Helmut), Andreas, his family, remain close. As well, Liza's tone when Helmut died was cold. I just wonder what Brooke Kerr is thinking given she worked with Liza for years. Really disgusted by that. Jackie was part of the bedrock of that show. Overall, a really dull show. The tributes to Y&R and GH were incredibly bad. The lack of footage for actor nomination packages, no clip packages of any value for each show, the ceremony is a husk of itself.
  22. This is actually heinous. Krista Allen stepped in as a recast and was Emmy nominated in her first year. She flew in the part. This is a really hideous decision on the part of B&B and Brad Bell. Per the Deadline article, she's moving to Atlanta so I think she's past caring about daytime.
  23. SLC It's been a good season but I think after this episode, and what appears to be coming, that they're in need of a few cast changes. Little Girl is trying to stir up problems wherever she can because she has nothing going on. Monica is not someone I can get behind. She feels very dishonest. She's now posted on her socials that her mother had nothing to do with her family not seeing her in Bermuda. I feel like she went for the pity instantly to try and soften the cast up for what was to come with Heather. Monica somewhat revels in her 'honesty' about what a terrible person she is. Affair, criminal arrest, debts, lawsuits. She is not someone I would want to be around. BH This is a very good season with a few false notes. Dorit's time is up. She brings nothing to the show and her attempts at conflict fall flat. Crystal was very effective at shutting her down at the Sutton event by basically yawning. Annemarie is insufferable. Please get her off the screen. Her comments about Sutton's esophagus problem being "medically not true" is actually ridiculous. A narrowing esophagus is a common problem. Many people struggle with swallowing or have an issue called achalasia. Also, her husband must be a real prize to say she's straight 8.5s. Like vile Kyle, she laughs at her own jokes. She is such a flop and clearly brought on to prop Kyle. Crystal is dull and I don't see any storyline for her aside from arguing with Annemarie. Erika continues to have a great season. She's way, way more likeable than she has been the last few years. Sutton is a chaotic mess but I like her. She isn't being pushed around by anyone. Garcelle is fabulous. Kyle tried to divide her and Sutton about the ring comment, but Garcelle owned it. I love her family scenes too. The situation with Kye's friend is obviously a tragedy. However, I struggle to muster up sympathy for her because she had none for LVP when her own brother committed suicide and openly told them she was in trouble and needed space and peace. No, back then Kyle and her coven attacked LVP relentlessly. Now Kyle has an idea of what hell it feels like. She remains transparent with respect to her sisters...they will never be close or trust her.
  24. Y&R Jess Walton as Jill: 1989 when Philip dies and it's just Jill and Katherine in the hospital room and she looks at Katherine, with this look of sheer horror on her face, and says "It's your fault, it's always been your fault. First the father and now the son!" Jess captured 16 years of history in that scene and she was indisputably Jill from then on. DAYS Lauren Koslow as Kate: 1996 first day in the role...but there is another date, when Kate framed Sami for Franco's murder, in 1998, where the culmination of Sami vs Kate started to reach its fever pitch and nobody could dispute Lauren made the role her own.
