Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
They were all terrible. Sutton and Crystal had the worst ones. Kyle not referencing 'this town' or 'in Beverly Hills' is shocking.

LIFETIME: "Ladies of the 80's: A Diva's Christmas"
That is prime Lifetime Christmas viewing. Look forward to it.

What terrible news. 66 is far too young to die and I loved her playing Lady Susan Hussy in The Crown and The Duchess of Cornwall in The Windsors.

Bold actor out
Does he get an actual exit or another one to disappear with a throwaway exit line from another character?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I hope it bears out to be true. Tamrat definitely said it out loud at the reunion and even one of Andy's fake audience questions at the reunion echoed the same sentiment. OC has struggled for years and was floundering with cast after cast. This year, it worked, and they'd be unwise to deviate from it.

BOLD: An Osmond guest stars
Stephanie appeared as herself on B&B about 15 years ago or so, attending a fashion show. This countess cameo was made for Dame Joan - Marie is a nice lady, but never believable as aristocratic Eurotrash.

I liked Suzanne Somers a lot and her death is a reminder that time is marching on. She worked hard. She was not a snob. She stood up for herself. Her husband, Alan Hamel, must be devastated. They were true blue partners. As well, her only child, Bruce, was the light of her life. I remember her saying when he was born she looked at this baby and promised him she'd give him a good life. She succeeded so brilliantly. Rest in peace, Suzanne. May her memory be a blessing.

Murder, She Wrote
Saw another one of those episodes that is darker and more sinister: Season 2, Episode 13, Trial By Error. Jessica is a jury foreperson and they work on determining the guilt of an accused. The ending is really good and show's Jessica's disgust.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Totally agree it's a no-win situation, but wasn't it interesting that Lisa flipped out about not being invited over to Heather's house, or having Heather support her...yet it's obvious that neither woman is a friend to the other? The SLC group is one of the least likeable set - they all clearly dislike each other for the most part.

NuRHONY I've watched this season and I won't be watching next season. Erin and Sai are miserable and awful people who are clearly targeting Jessel and it is plain old mean girl sh*t. I'm not interested in that. Jenna could have been added to original recipe RHONY (I think Ubah could have too) and I think it would have worked. The show is dull and what action there is has been premised on cast members ganging up on someone else's marriage. It feels like a deliberate choice, very produced, and I'm not wasting another season on it.

Bill Bell Jr. and Maria Arena Bell sell Malibu mansion to Jay-Z and Beyonce
This gives some interiors from when the home was last restored. The view from the pool of Century City is picture perfect. A very tasteful home: https://www.ramsa.com/projects/project/house-southern-california

I've watched all of Louise Sorel's run. It was too short for me, as a fan, but if that's the kind of schedule she would commit to, I'll take it. They certainly did not waste a single episode she was in. This Teresa recasting is so bizarre and seems spiteful on the part of the former producer. Writing out Gwen, right as she starts to thrive as a character, is frustrating. And all of this sacrificing being done at the alter of Leo, a character who should have been a 6 week arc at best. Hopefully changes behind the scenes will dictate his exit because it feels like he's swallowing the show and he's odious. The Maggie/Alex scenes made sense to me. There have long been widows who want to run their late husband's company, without any background to do so, because they see it as the husband's legacy.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOC Whew, the first episode of the reunion was an ugly look for Tamra and Shannon. Tamra shut up real quick when Jen shot back that Tamra cheated on Simon with Eddie after Tamra screamed at her for being a cheater. We all may have forgotten that tidbit, so thank you, Jen, for bringing it back to light. Tamra is no better than anyone and how dare she assert any kind of moral authority. Shannon is a terrible person. Her nonsense about "I don't remember saying that" is proof positive she's a sloppy drunk and her friends like Jeff Lewis are doing her no favours by enabling her alcoholic behaviour. But we only have to look at the 'medical team' Shannon has surrounded herself with to see that all she wants are sycophants around her. That Shannon isn't already in inpatient rehab tells me she has no interest in changing her ways. Emily took hits against everyone except Jen and Gina, and all of them landed well. Taylor is obviously a one and done. When Andy said "it was so nice to see her happy ending" that felt like the kiss of death in the Godfather. Jen stood up for herself and did OK. She would have been better off keeping her story/timeline straight, but whatever, she knows that Tamra is simply using her for a storyline. Heather was staying calm and collected because she knows it's the most effective strategy against Tamra and Shannon. Gina won the reunion. The internet is with her. The "what are the names of my children" was the most lethal wound I have seen Shannon take on a reunion because it demonstrated what a self absorbed [!@#$%^&*] she is. Gina had every right to scream at Shannon because Shannon is shameless and could excuse any action so needs her feet held to the fire.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
BH and MIA trailers look incredible. I am concerned about Potomac in comparison to them.- Days: Rumor of yet another character switcheroo for existing actor...
That sounds very much like what happened. I think Jen Lilley's People Magazine article is very classy and kind. She's right that Emily O'Brien drew the shortest straw.- LIFETIME: "Ladies of the 80's: A Diva's Christmas"
One of the comments on the Deadline article took the words out of my mouth: they must have offered the Loni Anderson part to Dame Joan Collins first and she turned them down or they couldn't reach terms...Loni is not known for a prime time soaps in the slightest.- RIP: In Memoriam Thread
Gayle played an English aristocrat on Dallas and she ended up a real one when her longtime husband was knighted. Born Gayle Hunnicutt, she died Gayle, Lady Jenkins.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Nobody should be surprised by this. Once the money ran out she was out of there. As Karen says she's the trick.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I agree @Faulkner and @NothinButAttitude - that was a really boring trailer. Whenever they add 'humour' in the form of strange editing or kitsch, I get nervous we're going to have a bad season. They all look amazing...but Karen is another level of fabulous. Best she's ever looked.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Mary is totally loathsome. Lazy, demanding, and foul tempered. However, it's hilarious because she seems to get along well with production and whatever deal they cut, everyone is in agreement. Going to McDonalds while the rest of them sweated it out in the Palm Springs bar in full drag makeup? Perfection. Angie K is a loser and Little Girl is right behind her in the pathetic sweepstakes. Little Girl is looking for conflict wherever she can find it and none of it is logical. Lisa having a meltdown about her makeup was something to behold.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
nuRHONY Holy sh*t Erin jumped the shark tonight. She is a younger, dumber, more entitled, and less hard working Ramona. The white fragility is strong with this one. She was literally crying to her father that Ubah confronting her was the "meanest" thing she's ever experienced. And THEN she talks about the childhood trauma of having a "long jaw" and being called "Long Jaw Silver" in school...this woman hasn't experienced anything bad in her life. Nothing. She really thought she was going to garner sympathy with all of that?- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Little Girl... The thing is Little Girl is legitimately stupid. Sure, desperado Jennie showed up, but the correct response is pay her dust! I think RH of Sydney will be a bust. Krissy was a nobody bitch in the first iteration. Lisa is the one I would have loved to see back because she was so consistent in undermining all the other women. She drove them insane. In hindsight, Lisa was right about all of them. Athena X was literally insane, so I'm cool with not having her back. RH of Melbourne needs to return so badly, with the OG's Janet and Gina - absolute Real Housewives icons...who knows what will happen. Janet hosted a lunch for several of them and the executive producers back in April...- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
SLC Great episode. Riveting from start to finish. Mary is a totally loathsome human being, but she's perfect as a Friend Of, casting her socially awkward judgments against anyone who crosses her path. I howled when she asked Heather, mid heave, what Whitney called her and Heather managed to croak out "predator" as Mary went hilariously ballistic on her. Meredith has to be on pills. She became unhinged during that dinner with 5 or 6 different accents. Monica calling out Lisa's whining about losing her "60 G" ring (she overpaid) was so welcome. Lisa enduring that outfit Meredith put her in was gutsy. It was so tacky. Heather puking in the van. So gross. So tacky. So real. That outfit was so butch and horrible. I don't know what Little Girl and Angie think they were doing by being such bitches on this trip...they are not endearing themselves to the audience or their cast mates.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The speed and sloppiness of that driving speaks volumes. She careened around the corner and was clearly wasted. Two things can be true at the time. I can have empathy for the fact that Shannon is clearly an alcoholic whose life is out of control. I can also believe that she is a total as$hole who deserves every unkind thing sent her way given 1) her reckless disregard for the lives of innocent people by driving drunk and 2) the sanctimonious attitude she's displayed towards Gina. Jeff Lewis was making comments yesterday saying that Shannon is not an alcoholic and that kind of enabling is only going to further destroy her. Shannon needs inpatient rehab. There is only one route for her and that is sobriety. If she does not choose that route, I fear a dark end for her. - Days of Our Lives: October 2023 Discussion Thread
