  1. Obviously, we don't know what's gone on behind the scenes, but I hope that what actually took this week to get sorted was a settlement with AA. I think that's why it took so long to announce his exit and why he was allowed to publish a lengthy, personally slanted, statement, and why the statement from Corday was so short, bland, and inconsequential. If AA does sue, I think he'll have a terribly expensive uphill climb. The entire cast will testify against him, ex-cast members will testify against him, and there may be crew who would testify against him as well. On a balance of probabilities, which is the legal test in a civil lawsuit, I don't see how he'd succeed.
  2. Jackie's memorial was held recently in Malibu. Michele Val Jean posted the programme cover:
  3. Classic PR 101… Deliver news late Friday so that it dies over the weekend.
  4. I'm still watching it, trying to give it a fair shake, but I find the women petty and dim. It reminds me of how I felt about RH of Dubai. On the opposite end of the spectrum I just finished Miami's latest season and reunion and that franchise is incredibly good.
  5. Based on the tone of that post, I wonder if Ari is still with the show. A lot of past tense.
  6. It may be a troublesome contract with AA that requires some negotiation for his exit or working out a contract with AA's replacement, or both. Either way, it's taking far too long. That the cast had to band together is really appalling. Thank you - I was going off of GettyImages - so if he was up and about in March 2023, then his health cannot be an excuse.
  7. We're definitely thinking of different people...but they're friends off set, despite their on set children having a tumultuous onscreen history. It's a fair comment re Corday. He has a long history of burying his head in the sand for a long time...but what seems strange about this is that a report was done, given to his production company, and he still didn't intervene. Even a single example of what AA is alleged to have done is cause for termination.
  8. That is such an excellent scene. The story has been told so many times that the accurate one is a mystery, but either KKL didn't tell Flannery she was going to slap her, or it wasn't in the script, or the two planned it out so that they'd actually hit each other...but it was an electric acting choice. Two of my favourite slaps involve Donna Love on Another World. In both, Donna does the first slap and then is shocked and appalled when Jake and Vicky slap her back, at 3:00 and 6:10 respectively:
  9. If you look at the cast, think of whose been in the business a long time and whose been on multiple shows and the answer can only be one or two people. I applaud the cast for sticking together but it's beyond sad that it had to come to this. I wonder what is going on with Ken Corday. Could it be that he's unwell and that's why he's delegated so much? He was last photographed at the Daytime Emmys last year. It's simply unlike him. He's always intervened when things have gone wrong.
  10. About nuRHONY's Erin...She donated 4 times to the Winred election result denial campaign and now that it's been exposed, she's trying to backpedal.
  11. He was a truly good man and a fierce and loyal father. He knew what was up and wasn't afraid to tell his own daughter what a fool she was making of herself.
  12. Anyone who remembers the last WGA strike thread years ago might remember me saying this about LML: It's time to start the beating of the drums...this time it's AA's turn...
  13. Very good proposed structure. I think Meng is one of those people the cast trusted and liked, so would be a potential good bridge between Corday and the cast, who it sound like have been put through the wringer.
  14. Corday should probably go with both of them as it sounds like he's handling only the business side with Sony and NBC/Peacock and not day to day involvement at the show. Both are well liked and would succeed.
  15. There's definitely still time for him to do this. Lisa Rinna and however many sources for Deadline can beat that drum and get Alarr fired. And I concur about everyone wondering why Greg Meng hasn't been brought back on immediately. He was very well liked by the cast. This whole story is so strange to me because DAYS has long had a reputation for being a decent set, not as easy going as B&B, but not a bunch of drama like like GH and Y&R.
  16. I'm absolutely shocked that JKJ isn't returning for Victor's funeral. Do we know if Louise Sorel is appearing?
  17. I'm amazed he still had his own dressing room and that they hadn't chucked him out 2 years ago...
  18. He’s the one who came to mind, along with Wally Kurth they both have had buzz cuts. What I find intriguing is all the discussion around the cast having a lot of recurring actors now. I wonder whose on that list these days?
  19. I'm surprised I feel just the opposite to you, on both counts. ATL ATL isn't working because of the cast. These women hate each other. There is no chemistry. Kenya is clocking in, Kandi is using it as a publicity tool, Sheree is fronting, Sanya, Marlo, and Drew do not have the star power to be a next generation. nuRHONY Flop. So boring. They literally had a fight about cheese and the trailer looked incredibly dull. Also, Bravo was leaning a lot on the 'Look at them being moms! Look at the little kids!' and that's something a lot of viewers absolutely hate.
  20. I remember that scene. Katherine digging into the bucket of fried chicken, her long nails digging in while her diamonds sparkled...she was palpably relieved to be eating something fattening. It was laugh out loud funny. I believe AMC is the soap that integrated humour into the DNA of the show. Many characters were light and comedic. Marian was one of my favourites. Darlene was just really good at everything she did. Towards the end of her run as Sally, when Marc MacLaine confessed to helping Stephanie fake her heart attack, Sally drove Marc in her Cadillac away from the Forrester mansion, pulls over on the Santa Monica Freeway, has him get a bottle of scotch out where the spare tire should be and laments: "Another fallen idol. First, Martha Stewart, and now this!"
  21. Very well deserved. Now, somehow, they need to campaign to win. Andy is likely 'befuddled' because the show doesn't involve him as a producer...
  22. I knew her best as Passions Rebecca and B&B’s Tawny. She was so talented and charismatic. Far too young to die. May her memory be a blessing.
  23. This feels like a flop. I've always thought Rob seemed like a very nice, supportive husband. That said, my first thought was divorce. The alternative is they're going to try living in Malibu or Santa Monica or Santa Barbara for a year and see how they like it and, if so, sell in Bel-Air. Each of those areas is far enough away from the Bel-Air lifestyle/commute that you might consider trying before buying.
  24. BH Crystal is renting out her house... https://www.dirt.com/gallery/entertainers/reality-tv/crystal-kung-minkoff-rental-house-bel-air-1203649484/crystalminkoffhouse_ba2/
