  1. I really enjoyed the SAG awards - getting them off normal television was a great move. The In Memoriam was so well done.
  2. That is so sad for Natalie - she had more than 30 years under her belt at Y&R and aside from Janice Ferri Esser was the last link to the Bill Bell years. It really is mind boggling. +1 you're absolutely right. Just terrible to lose these links to history. Griffith doing breakdowns will be an unmitigated disaster.
  3. I agree - I laughed and rolled my eyes at Ashley being a total dumbass who is now permanently at the mercy of Michael Darby. Candiace’s comments about Ashley being the least accomplished ring totally true. Ashley couldn’t even gold dig correctly.
  4. Richard Belzer was a one-off talent. I loved his work. Rest easy, sir.
  5. I know that Joan and Angela had several friends in common (particularly Robert Wagner). Joan was a big admirer of Angela and knew how to put respect on her name. Joan loves to live life. Here she is Friday night in London at a party for London Fashion Week:
  6. Great to hear of these returns, especially Barbara Crampton and Veronica Redd. I really hope we get scenes between Jess Walton and each of them.
  7. To you freedom, Ryan. I don't enjoy Kelly and find her obnoxious and grating. I think Mark has a great likeability factor and in some respects is a better fit for a daytime talk show than Kelly is. When Regis and his wife Joy would be on together, they had a certain rapport that did not spoil the 'what happened last night' portion of the opening.
  8. Raquel Welch had largely retreated from public gaze the last five years or so, but what a stunning woman with a boatload of charisma. Her staying power, despite several career implosions, was impressive and spoke to a very strong character. May she rest in peace.
  9. NJ I enjoyed the premiere but I think there are faults in this show that are not sustainable going into another season and I think production knows it. This feels like the Fall of the House of Gorga is on the way because production is going to have to decide whether they're Tea I know they are all wrong and have sold their souls to Bravo, so I am on Team Nobody. The Jennifer v Dolores feud has no legs. Zero. They better get over that one fast. The two new young women (notice the ABC Daytime-esque trend of youthifying these shows continues...) feel interchangeable to me. The other addition who looks so incredibly normal, might be the firecracker based on rumours of what went down between her and Margaret.
  10. So Brandi sexually assaulted Caroline. Despicable and it’s about time Bravo calls it what it is.
  11. I have always thought MacGraw's show is one of the trashiest things to ever be broadcast. He capitalized on really ugly dysfunction.
  12. Great opening credits.
  13. Rightly so. She has it coming. I have been waiting on all day to get through my work day to visit this thread and see all the brilliant responses here. Sure have. Robyn is a fraud and is not playing the game of reality TV. Spot on analysis on your part and on the part of Candiace. I wholeheartedly agree that I stand with Candiace. Robyn is monetizing this affair outside of the RH universe and that is a mortal sin. Robyn should be fired for this.
  14. Louise had done an Alan Locher interview within the last year and had mentioned there was chatter about a return. Wonderful news if true.
  15. She was 57 when she appeared on Falcon Crest and looked damn good. 95 is a great life.
  16. The way I saw it, Karen swung for the fences in an attempt to get the “Karen is cheating” allegations out of everyone’s mouths instantly - and it worked. They instantly switched to talking about how delusional she is, which goes to show they just want to trash her, they don’t care how they do it.
  17. Nothing will ever top Alden's The Takeover storyline from 1999. So many characters involved with consequences that lasted for years: That really is a crippling thing to deal with. However, when you watch old episodes from the 90s and early 00s it isn't that there were that many extra sets, but they were much larger and between Newman, Jabot, the Abbott house, Chancellor mansion, Victor's ranch, Crimson Lights, and Gina's restaurant, they could write an effective show. Jabot is the only business venue that 1) makes sense and 2) connects to the audience.
  18. Amoral is the right word. Yes, Candiace really got Ashley with that statement. Truth hurts! I hope Karen annihilates them. And I hope Chris Basset gets justice!
  19. It was totally preposterous but we loved her for it.
  20. POTOMAC Honestly, [!@#$%^&*] Gizelle, Robyn, Ashley, and Charisse. This episode was outrageous as they all tag teamed Karen. What was really telling was how openly they were actually discussing the show when Charisse, Robyn, and Gizelle moaned and groaned about Charisse 'assembling this group of ladies' that Karen was not a part of. It was plain as day that Charisse is furious that she was the one who organized the cast, but it was Karen who became the breakout star of the show while Charisse got herself fired for being so cringe and boring. What the [!@#$%^&*] was with Charisse claiming Karen went to rehab? When? For what? As Karen said to Candiace, Charisse proved by her words that Karen's suspicions about her were right and that Charisse was simply waiting to try and lord her own 'friendship acts' over Karen. Robyn is such a liar about her pathetic relationship with Juan. Ashley tried to tee up another confrontation between Charisse and Karen at that lunch, but Karen was able to pivot so smoothly and transition Ashley to have discuss matters with Candiace. Jacqueline and Mia = implosion. Mia threw away her friendship without a second thought. I think Potomac is getting dangerously close to being too toxic and might need a cast refresh for next years if they are to avoid the fate of Salt Lake City this season where everyone hated each other.
  21. Agreed. If they wrote out Kate/Lauren like that, after 27 years, I would find it in unspeakable bad taste and disrespect.
  22. Very sad news - 75 is not very old these days and I am sorry to hear he struggled with dementia and then Covid-19. He played his scenes on Passions with a great sense of humour. I especially enjoyed his scenes with Kim Johnston Ulrich's Ivy.
  23. I agree. Potomac is still doing it for me and I'm enjoying it. That said, Ashley is flopping this season and Mia is on the verge of needing to exit the show because she's so trashy. I am here for Karen annihilating the desperate hippopotamus though. One of the most epic flops in Bravo history. Like any good hustler, I think Erika is going to make a play for getting in with Sutton as her audience sugar mama. I feel like Dorit is going to get demoted to a Friend Of...Ditto Crystal.
  24. Indeed. That is a long held opinion of mine, as well as many others in this thread. Rinna threw away her reputation for an 8 year run on RHOBH. That said, she is turning 60 this year and so she was able to basically spend her 50s in the Bravo/reality world when it is doubtful she would have secured anything near as lucrative in the acting world - Rinna has long been in that tough spot of being known for her looks and limited range, so her 50s would have been Siberia in Hollywood, so perhaps it was the right gamble to make. The mistake, from a career perspective, was letting her QVC apparel range go because that could have been a very lucrative second act once media ran its course. I will be interested to see how Rinna Beauty fares without a regular TV presence - her social media might be enough to sustain it.
  25. Flawless wit.
