  1. Completely agree about Beverly Hills' finale. There really wasn't much to it and I'm left wondering where do they go from here? Flopmarie should be fired, unless Dorit comes up with a hail Mary at the reunion she should be fired, that leaves two openings that desperately need filling with dynamic, positive, personalities. They need to go younger like Crystal's age bracket. LVP lives rent free in Kyle's head. That was odd. Kyle is just fixated on her. I wonder if they could ever convince LVP to film a sit down lunch with Kyle...the problem is Kyle is a perpetual victim and martyr and just wants to bask in her victimhood. Sigh. It seems that Mauricio cheated one too many times and she finally had her fill. As Danny Pellegrino put it: they took their cast picture and they all looked miserable. Yeah...Morocco UGT ain't seeing the light of day. I can't help but feel a little sorry for Brandi - reality TV has truly used up her dignity and Bravo did nothing to protect her with the recent spat of lawsuits that have been going on. The two lawyers she's working with are very high profile, so there seems to be something they think they can work with.
  2. Of course Flopmarie would duplicate a look from the thirsty loser Charisse. At least she fit hers though... Well I'll be damned. Bravo will NOT be happy this has leaked before the RHOBH finale and reunion have aired. Time to fire Kyle...she couldn't keep this under wraps and they sold it for their own gain on Netflix.
  3. I can't fathom enduring more than 2 or 3 more episodes of RHOP @Taoboi that's how bad I think this season is. I now try and do chores during the episode so I don't have to pay attention to much of it. Robyn is definitely production's puppet, so they let her off easy. Imagine if this had been any other franchise? If this was Beverly Hills or OC or OriginalNYC, Juan's behaviour would have been the entire season. The fractures in this cast are too deep and too obvious to carry on. They need to clean house and rebuild around Karen and Ashley.
  4. And the thing is, if I had to keep a third woman, it would be Gizelle because she is mildly entertaining when she's being friendly with Karen. And at least she gave us footage of herself standing next to Pastor Holy Whore, looking like a total hypocrite. The problem with Potomac is it's clear these women have no connection to each other. They show up for filming and then they never speak to each other again. They're onscreen to monetize their products, brands, and podcasts and nothing more. It's probably the franchise with the least amount of organic connections and because they've filmed together for so long, and most dislike each other, that it rings so fake and hollow. That production has let Robyn get away with having no storyline, and burying her personal life, is insane to me. After she sold it for her podcast? They should have come hard for her and Juan. The way she handed out rooms was so manufactured - you could see her running through the script she'd discussed with production. That crap needs to stop across every franchise.
  5. RHOBH We are heading to the season finale next week. I think @Michael nailed it: there have been "moments" but no actual storyline for Kyle and whatever the hell is happening to her marriage. I think this season has turned out to be quite mediocre, but that's no different than the last several seasons but this time I found it pleasant to watch now that R*nna isn't there selling her house to satan himself to remain a cast member. RHOA I'm happy to hear about Porsha returning and I agree with @Cheap21 that she's doing the show to shore up her finances given her husband's impending implosion. RHOP Tonight's episode exemplified why this show needs a hard reboot. You've got this absolutely random addition of a friend of Wendy's (had we seen her before because I don't recall her at all) which feels like a last minute Hail Mary to inject some energy/drama into this absolute flop of a season. You've got Wendy and Neck never reconciling. You've got Robyn acting like a smug assh*le only for Karen to outplay her in getting her own room (likely because a producer leaned on Ashley to keep Karen in the villa). You've got Gizelle standing like the dutiful church wife next to Pastor Holy Whore. You've got Ashley making zero sense about her divorce. You've got a ridiculous 'Grand Dame' ceremony for a woman whose house didn't have light switch covers. At this point, I say keep Karen and Ashley and fire everyone else.
  6. Craig and Nancy were wildly popular when they arrived in the late 90s. They had a legit TV Guide layout where the two of them were in a fountain back when TV Guide was prestige. And when Patrika was nominated for an Emmy, the roar of the audience when her clip package was announced at the ceremonies was incredible. They were the wrong couple for that story. Completely undid their entire storyline. Darlene Conley's Sally at B&B was a plus size diva for nearly 20 years and was wildly popular. It's plain and obvious that the audience wants to see characters of all ages and shapes - they want to see their world reflected. Of course, networks have given up on their soaps and aren't willing to innovate anything.
  7. One of the more glamorous and beautiful grandmothers around.
  8. Tonight's episode was a bit dull, aside from the scene with Calista Flockhart when she's getting her hair done. That was deliciously written and performed.
  9. Thank you for posting that link. The lawsuit reads very strongly on the harassment claims. What a terrible set. Imagine the list of witnesses that could be called if it proceeds to trial. The whole cast could be subpoenaed and then give testimony under oath.
  10. There are two issues at play here: 1. The sexual harassment. That part of her lawsuit is what's most likely going to succeed and what Corday Productions should be concerned about. They are vicariously liable for the actions of AA. There are plenty of witnesses to this alleged conduct and his firing by Sony, and their investigation, will all form part of disclosure. 2. The non-renewal of her contract. That part of her lawsuit is harder to prove because Corday Productions did make her an offer - it just wasn't an offer she wanted. This element reminds me of Nicollette Sheridan's unsuccessful lawsuit against ABC and Marc Cherry when they killed off her character on Desperate Housewives. Retaliation is very hard to prove, especially in circumstances where they did make her an offer.
  11. Would love that for her. Bring on a soft reboot to ATL a la NYC Season 5.
  12. Aaron made various comments over the years that Shannen had matured and grown up a lot from her days on 90210 by the time he was casting Charmed and he thought she was a great actress. I agree that he didn't work twice with actors who had been a pain in the ass so it does say something in Shannen's favour.
  13. I concur with the Hollywood Reporter's review: the show's writing is mediocre but the performances are very good for the most part. I struggle to find anything likeable about Capote so I struggle to care about what happens to him. He seemed like an awful person. Diane Lane and Naomi Watts are given the most to do and both of them take great care with their performances. I really enjoy Chloe Sevigny as C.Z. Guest as well. Calista Flockhart and Demi Moore's roles were tiny in the first two episodes, which you wouldn't have known from the trailer. Dominick Dunne wrote the Ann Woodward story to great effect in his novel, and subsequent miniseries, the Two Mrs. Grenvilles, in case anyone wants to follow up on that case more.
  14. RHOP Another flop episode. Wendy and Happy Eddie's joint rolling party was super boring. I don't like watching Mia and Gordon scenes. They are like watching a negotiation between a hooker and a john she's picked up on the street corner. Speaking of which, Mia is not capable of handling Karen so she really shouldn't have tried to pick a fight with her. Karen annihilated her without breaking a sweat. Juan's Roommate tried it with Karen with that really stupid comment about the family photo that she noticed "years ago" in Karen's phone...it was such a non-event that Karen said she has a Juan's Roommate folder in her phone, which was unintentionally hilarious, and just goes to prove that Juan's Roommate has nothing going on. Even Juan's Roommate knew it was a stupid thing to bring up and dropped it as quickly as she brought it up. Now that Candiace has triumphed over Demon Darby, I wonder what Ashley and her two inflatables are thinking since she has nothing going on either now that she and Gizelle are trying to She By Sheree themselves into relevance, which will fail. So Nneka literally had a party where the ladies helped her unpack wedding gifts from 2 years ago. The f*ck? Wendy really f*cked up this episode when she didn't turn up to this farce of an event, though, because that was the olive branch she should have taken in order to show that she's capable of moving on. Nneka is undoubtedly a total flop of casting, but Wendy will feud her way right out of this cast.
  15. I don’t believe this is a loss at all. Kandi hasn’t had a storyline out of her various business ventures for years. RHOA has been flopping for the last 2-3 seasons, and a cast overhaul was needed. Kenya should be canned.
  16. Susan was so perfect for this.
  17. +1 to all of this. It was an OK episode. The most interesting part was Sutton's dinner with her cosmopolitan friends and Erika drunk off her ass..."Murse is in...the purse" made me laugh. Flopmarie holding Crystal's hand and then saying "I don't want her to have a hypertensive crisis and stroke out" was so cringe. No wonder she works in anesthesia, she has zero bedside manner. There's nothing to like about her.
  18. The Daytime Emmys continue to destroy themselves from within. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is a laughing stock. The Television Academy, who administer the primetime Emmy awards, has its sh*t together. This year's 75th annual primetime Emmys was one of the best awards shows in the last 3 decades.
  19. I found the premier satisfying. Looking forward to how it develops. Rachel is not missed by me at all.
  20. Very happy to see LK back in the Contract list.
  21. DAYS fans, of which I am one, are the most die hard. How many "The Plan to Save DAYS" have we lived through? I'd say GH fans are second.
  22. Yes, that write up is spot on about Wendy and the status of the show as a whole. There is no way Bravo can be unaware of this consensus about how bad the show is. Assuming she has any family and close friends. Given her 'sparkling' personality...I have my doubts. This. Karen is the only one with decent individual scenes. Bravo forgets that these shows were originally shot as following the women individually, and they'd intersect organically so their group scenes were not common. Production has gotten lazy and now just throws as many group scenes together to create the potential for drama.
  23. Wait, is that serious? Nneka's party is about the women helping her unpack?
  24. RHOP The flop season continues to circle the drain. I keep waiting for the announcement that this season is done...it's painful to get through these episodes. This episode highlighted why a reboot is needed and why several cast members must be fired, namely Robyn, Nneka, Mia, Wendy, and Candiace and/or Gizelle. When Gizelle turned down the trip to Surry County, it demonstrated why she should likely be fired because she refuses to film with Candiace. The same can be said of Candiace because she's got several cast members who refuse to film with her. When Mia was so butt hurt about not being invited in the first round and turned down Karen's mass invite, that showed that she needs to be fired. Her trip to the salt room with Robyn was a useless, stupid waste of screen time and a further example of how she's bringing nothing to the show, and neither is Juan's Roommate given she says she and Juan have no problems. When Nneka was showing Gizelle around her barren house, mocking Karen, as the light switches and plugs in her kitchen literally didn't have covers on them, that showed that she's a poser with no organic ties to the cast who needs to be fired. Also, they need to stop trying to make Charisse happen because she's never going to happen. When Wendy refused to play ball with Nneka's invitation to her house filling party that showed why she needs to be fired because she won't move on. Let's not even go into this ridiculous "talk show storyline" that I cannot abide. At least Happy Eddie is involving himself in a real business. I could watch him farm marijuana on Karen's Surry County property! When Ashley said that she's launching an activewear brand called GnA (a direct ripoff of the Aritzia brand TnA by the way) with the tasteless Gizelle, I had to roll my eyes. Same tired storyline cribbed off of She by Sheree that goes nowhere. The only saving grace for Ashley is she's such a treacherous piece of crap that she changes like a chameleon and understands the need to move on and keep the show moving. Karen is literally the only enjoyable element of this show. Her lunch scene with Ray and her scenes showing the land she's bought are a part of her life. They're light and breezy and she keeps it humorous. It's clear the only cast members who are willing to play ball are Karen, Ashley and, at times, Gizelle. The others are so entrenched in their hatred of so many cast members that the dynamic is destroyed.
