  1. Well, I could have told him that on Inauguration Day!
  2. Why are his allies even bothering to advise the team? We already KNOW there won't be enough votes to convict him! It really doesn't matter at this point WHAT the team does and does not bring up at trial.
  3. I actually heard that story on NPR's "Morning Edition" several weeks ago. I couldn't decide whether he was your run-of-the-mill grifter, your run-of-the-mill millennial dope, or both.
  4. Wait, Armie Hammer had a career?
  5. Move over, Buffy. There's a new Slayer in town. ;)
  6. Yeah, I don't trust him. Just as I don't trust any GOP'er who expresses disdain over the party's direction even as they refuse to leave it. IMO, saying you're outraged by the likes of MTG becoming the face and voice of the GOP isn't enough. Either you leave the party for good, as former Oklahoma congressman Mickey Edwards did recently, or you're complicit in their rampant (and dangerous) extremism.

Chasten. Pete isn't UGLY, but he's on the nerdy side, too.
  8. Agree.
  9. For me, Kevin McCarthy's actions yesterday prove the GOP are unable and unwilling to compromise. Ever. If anything, they're doubling and tripling down on the extremist thinking.
  10. If my father were still alive, he would be DEVASTATED by this news. Engelbert wasn't just his favorite singer; he was the ONLY singer whose music he'd listen to, even during the Christmas season.

Chasten and Pete are so cute together. It makes me wanna puke.

Well, it certainly hasn't kept Pete Buttigieg from achieving great things. ;)

I mean, he just looks so average. And short. But, hey, girl, thirst away, lol.

From the same team who wrote the themes for "Cheers" and "Mr. Belvedere":

I hope they updated the original series' theme song for this revival. That song was one of the best ever.
  17. The one and only! Too bad they didn't have Susan Flannery and Rita Moreno switch roles. Jameson Parker probably had more chemistry with his "mom" than he did with Susan.
  18. I wouldn't be surprised to learn Robert Calhoun was among those ghost-writing the show during that period.
  19. Agree. But, at least he did his best to leave this world a little better than how he found it, which is what we all should do, I think.
  20. This HAS to become a movie. This, and Greta Thunberg's story.
  21. Even now, as more and more intel trickles down about the riot, I don't think enough people realize how serious this was or could have been. I mean, you don't bring guns and twisty-ties to the U.S. Capitol just for shits and giggles.
  22. Absolutely! I think you can reflect the average viewer's reality and still be entertaining. If anything, by dramatizing their real-life, everyday problems, I think you can provide viewers with a sense that they're not alone and that, through perseverance and faith, they can work through their issues. I've been thinking a lot about that lately, as we continue to make sense of everything that's been happening around us in regards to COVID-19.
  23. I'll agree there was more crossover and character interaction during MP's earliest seasons; but, even then, I always had the impression that MP's characters never particularly LIKED each other. They just tolerated each other, because they all lived in the same apartment building (which is fine in real life, but not fun to watch on a soap).
  24. First, we had people ignoring the danger (or worse, believing Trump's assessment that the virus would simply disappear); and now, we have people trying every which way they can to jump ahead in the line for the vaccine. COVID-19 has shown to the rest of the world just how ignorant and dangerous Americans can truly be.
  25. Carol Roux and her "boyfriend" look like two of Meathead's hippie friends on "All in the Family."
