  1. That's why I never applauded Mitt for doing the bare minimum, like observing COVID-19 protocols and voting to impeach and convict Trump at both trials. I knew that, no matter what, Mitt was never REALLY our friend.
  2. It's amazing how DAYS let Cady slip away so soon, yet kept Stephanie Cameron around for what felt like eons.
  3. What an absolute disgrace! I wish Texans would remember this the next time they vote. Sadly, all they'll be concerned with (again) are guns, "illegals" and abortions. All those times I said Rush Limbaugh could go straight to hell? Well, I meant it. Every. Single. Time.
  4. Looking at the opening credits for "Glitter," Lois Nettleton always held the same expression on her face that said, "I'm so DELIGHTED to SEE you!".
  5. Doesn't everyone, lol?
  6. Poor Nicholas. Has he gotten his life back together or...?
  7. Or, if she were feeling edgy that afternoon, the girl who played Pippa on "The Facts of Life."
  8. Nicholas Brendon looks ROUGH. On the other hand, anyone with a "paralyzed penis" is bound to look (and feel) like [!@#$%^&*].
  9. I guess such a transformation was inevitable, but I wonder if it didn't short-circuit her pop success and longevity in the long run.
  10. It's one thing when the writers destroy a character, but OLTL's HW's at the time (Lorraine Broderick & Christopher Whitesell?) destroyed a character's split personality.
  11. When YOU WERE BORN?? My God. I was in JUNIOR high when that came out. Thank you for making me feel very, very old.
  12. Oh, how I WISH AMC had had the guts to do just that. They could have even given her a classically soapy, Camille-esque death, with some incurable disease, and scenes filled with noble sacrifices and stiff upper lips. I didn't care. Just as long as it meant no more of that damn Bianca.
  13. I hope it's a good reunion, too, although the Murphy Brown in me would love to ask Francesca James about the allegations that she manipulated Julie Harris in her final years so she could be in her will and drove a wedge between her and her son.
  14. Yeah, the sexual metaphor was obvious there, too, lol. Most of Prince's songs play on sexual metaphors, but some just aren't very graceful about it. Practically every line of "Raspberry Beret" screams "WE HAD ANAL SEX!!".
  15. IDK, @Soapsuds, Sheena certainly gave her all to "Sugar Walls," but I feel like the sexual metaphor was a little too obvious even for a Prince song.
  16. Thanks for asking, @Juliajms. Mama Khan and I are doing okay. At the moment, rolling blackouts are on hold here in OK, but that could change as The Winter of Our Discontent rages on. Thanks, @JaneAusten, for helping me to understand Manchin and Sinema's positions better! I doubt that "uneasy Rs" will drift, or that we're on the verge of having a 3-party system. Some might get fed up with Trumpism and become Independents, but I don't believe it will be enough to make any difference in the long run.
  17. Oh, man. That spotlight, lol. I halfway expect to hear an announcer intone, "Ladies and gentlemen...Cher."
  18. Years ago, I thought it would've been cool to reveal that Darryl's daughter, whom I renamed Carrie, was Cabot's bio mom, making him Jennifer's half-nephew.
  19. Could someone please explain to me what Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have against nuking the filibuster (aside from the obvious)? And for God's sake, WHAT are they DOING serving as DEMOCRATS?? At the VERY least, their local Democratic parties should censure them, the way the Wyoming GOP censured Liz Cheney, if not boot them from the party outright.
  20. It's silly, I know, but I keep thinking about Joss' dad, the late Tom Whedon, a writer-producer ("Alice," "Benson," "The Golden Girls," etc.) of whom I'm a big fan. I wonder how the senior Whedon, if he were still alive, would have responded to these reports about his son. Would he have believed these men AND women who have spoken out against Joss? Would he have supported and/or defended his son? I mean, who knows? Maybe he would have believed there's nothing wrong with that kind of "casually cruel" behavior. Maybe this was how HE had behaved BTS at all the different series he had worked on.
  21. So, we're back to being called "Negroes"? "It was in the '60's." Well, then, let's keep it there, shall we?
  22. I've always agreed with Allmusic.com's Stephen Thomas Erlewine, who says that Justin Timberlake's music is all surface and no substance, like a "showbiz kid" who's trying too hard.
