  1. I've wondered that myself. DALLAS and KL had a lock on the housewife demographics, and DYNASTY had a lock on POC and gay men, but between Douglas and Paul Freeman, it seems as if FC had decided to go after kids and young men who were into action/adventure, lol.
  2. I don't think MB is as intimidating BTS as he might've been in years past. For one thing, he's older and mellower (if not wiser, lol). For another, even he must be aware of how much the industry has changed. The way I see it, Steve himself spilled the beans when that one fan congratulated him on social media on his and his ex-wife's pregnancy, and Steve basically told the fan (and the rest of his followers) that he wasn't the baby's father. You don't need Maury Povich to get to the bottom of things, lol! As for KT...all I can say is, speaking as someone who grapples everyday with mental health issues, I hope she's getting the help she needs in therapy.
  3. IA.
  4. Perhaps, the crane that flattened one of Michael's girlfriends BITD will make a return appearance? Better yet, just write her out like "L.A. Law" wrote out Rosalind Shays:
  5. There's a lot to the Internet that's bad, but there's a lot to it that's good, too; and one of the good things about the Internet, I think, is that POC don't have to rely anymore on the traditional TV networks for entertainment that reflects their experiences. Even as streaming services merge and dissolve and get gobbled up by media conglomerates, we still have avenues where we can share our stories, without any need to cater to any other demographic or sugar-coat hard truths about society that need to be told.
  6. I agree with both these statements, lol. It would've made more sense to say Reed returned home (with Halsey) after catching Kirby in bed with another woman. Naturally, Alex would want to help her daughter and granddaughter, but Reed is determined to make it on her own, taking the job at the Sweet Sixteen only after hitting the pavement gets her nowhere. In the meantime, you still could have a rivalry between Cat and Reed by setting up a triangle between them and Billy.
  7. His comedies suffer from the same deficiencies as his dramas: broad characters that trade on stereotypes and long scenes with repetitive dialogue that have no purpose whatsoever.
  8. It's only a matter of time before this administration proposes rounding up all us African-Americans and shipping us to Africa. ("No more drugs! No more gangs! No more welfare queens!")
  9. Yeah, it's gonna suck when they sacrifice Lulu for Dante/BLQ.
  10. I can say this much: it's not a woman.
  11. I know Cady McClain has "liked" a few comments I've made on her IG posts.
  12. JER was a very sick man.
  13. Don't feel ashamed. Enjoying any of TP's stuff, even on a "This [!@#$%^&*] is so awful, but I can't stop watching!" level, doesn't mean you're ready for the KKK, lol. You're entitled to enjoy what you enjoy without shame, or guilt, or feelings of retribution. So long as you understand - and it's obvious that you do - that TP, in no way, represents the totality of the African-American experience anymore than, say, Norman Lear's sitcoms from the '70's. It's MORE than clear he's got issues he needs to work on; but, for now, he's entertaining peeps (even in an ironic way) and making coin off of it, so more power to him, lol.
  14. The early days of FOX, UPN and The WB are perfect examples of Hollywood's relationship with "urban" audiences. They always need us in the beginning to help establish their brands. Then, once they're financially solvent, they can't WAIT to ankle us and chase after more upscale, white audiences.
  15. Watching a rerun of "Alice" this morning, it struck me: Diane Ladd, who played Belle Adderley #2 on "Sisters," also played Belle Dupree on "Alice" (after originally playing Flo in the movie "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore," upon which the sitcom was based). Furthermore, both "Sisters" and "Alice" were/are WB-produced shows (and maybe taped on the same lot?). Coincidence? Probably, lol.
  16. In a 6-3 decision, SCOTUS has struck down the majority of Trump's tariffs policies, which many are calling "the bedrock of his economic agenda." Experts say businesses will be lining up soon, expecting refunds on the billions they have paid up to this point. NPR7 key things to know about Trump's tariffs after the Supr...The Supreme Court ruled Friday that President Trump overstepped his authority in ordering double-digit tariffs on nearly everything the U.S. imports. Here's some of the economic context to understand
  17. No, he can't be first, because after the first or second victim, he and either nuJavi or oldDimitri will become Salem's same-sex answer to Nick & Nora Charles (or Jonathan & Jennifer Hart, take your pick) and attempt to uncover the Sniper's identity. It'll end in tragedy, though, with Leo figuring out the answer to a riddle just moments before he's the Sniper's latest victim.
  18. Ugh, I couldn't STAND Cliff and Nina, lol. I swear, every time they got back together, a little clock would appear in a lower corner of the screen, counting down to yet another, inevitable breakup.
  19. Meanwhile, Chase and Willow's hookup will result in Willow becoming pregnant again. Somehow, there'll be a baby switch; Willow will need to pretend Drew is the father of "her" baby for some reason (which will lead to Drew and Willow actually falling for each other for real); Chase and Brook Lynn will try to stay together for the sake of "their" baby - because, after all, Chase is the dad, even if BLQ ain't the bio mom - which leaves Dante the odd man out (and available for a relationship with Liz? that could implode once the truth wins out?); and in an irony only longtime AMC fans will appreciate, poor Alexa Havins' Lulu will be the key to untangling the entire mess.
  20. I just want someone from BTG to show up and say, "Stephanie, you're on THE WRONG SOAP OPERA." IYKYK.
  21. He'd be the Salem Sniper's third or fourth victim, the one who figures out the killer's identity, but dies before being able to reveal it to anyone.
  22. Now, all they need is a Roku/Pluto TV channel and their mission to rule the world will be complete.
