  1. I'm not exaggerating when I say I LIVED for miniseries in the '80's, lol. As long as I stayed in bed and woke up on time the next morning, I could stay up as late as I wanted. So, I watched a ton of [!@#$%^&*] I probably shouldn't have as a child, from trashy miniseries to Johnny Carson and SNL, and everything in between.
  2. Frankly, I don't blame him, lol. Unfortunately, he ended up playing the losing side of the Erica/Travis/Jack triangle on AMC, once it was clear that the writers had done too much damage to Travis and Erica's relationship for them to reconcile.
  3. I think it does matter that TP chooses to live inside a glass closet, because his treatment of LGBTQ characters has been negligible across the board and a sign of a deep-seated self-hatred.
  4. I'm convinced Michael Laibson would've been able to get GL back on track had he had a better HW working with him.
  5. That's the thing about people who choose to live in the glass closet: they think they have the entire world fooled.
  6. In my mind, Jackson died (in Erica's arms) when he rushed to save her from JR's bullet. (Yes, I know that's not what happened in the PP revival. So what, lol?). Erica was devastated, but that just made her more determined to become a successful actress in H'wood. Unfortunately, the movie bombed at the box office; it was savaged by the critics - "How could Erica Kane suck at playing herself," wrote one critic; "Not since 'Glitter' has a diva committed such a boneheaded career move," wrote another - and instead of winning an Academy Award, Erica wound up with a Razzie. And then it gets really sad.
  7. I wonder if Bill Bell's Alzheimer's diagnosis, which likely occurred at some point during the late '90's, is what put the kibosh on his proposed new soap, as well as on expanding B&B to one hour.
  8. It certainly didn't help to have her headline a dreary, repetitive "mystery" that took place largely away from the show's locale.
  9. They've got to recast Sitwell. Every time I see that Carlo's name, I'm thinking the guy who composed the "Godfather" theme is acting on GH.
  10. In retrospect, CBS probably should've pulled the plug. Instead, TPTB kept hoping GL would get better...until they realized it wouldn't.
  11. It is fun to ponder what has happened to Erica since AMC left ABC. Did she make that movie? Was it a success? (I'd say "no"). What ELSE has Erica done since then (and who else has she married, lol)?
  12. Producers also made changes to "Mork" - dropping two regular characters, adding others - that hurt the show creatively. Between that and the time slot change, "Mork" became a textbook example of what happens when you mess with success.
  13. "Hotel" is a show that's always easy to reboot - simple premise, episodes you could produce on the cheap, no iconic stars from the original series to cast long and inescapable shadows on the new show - so I'm not surprised UPN tried in '03.
  14. There are exactly two people in the entire, known universe who give two s**ts about that family, and they are Frank Valentini and Chris Van Etten. (Elizabeth Korte's just happy to be controlling Carly's destiny).
  15. Allegedly, "Tenspeed" is former president Bill Clinton's favorite show.
  16. I still can't believe this (or any) show once had characters named "Esme," "Nelle" and "Claudette."
  17. That's when I knew for sure they had made a mistake killing off Janice Barnes years before during that Riverfront Knifer saga.
  18. "Every scent hides a secret." You know, I kinda dig that tagline, lol?
  19. You won't get any complaints or arguments from me! Between him and Robert Gentry, Kathleen Noone was one lucky b***h, lol!
  20. My Frank will always be Daniel Hugh Kelly. Not just because he had "it," but also because he LOOKED like he grew up in an Irish Catholic family with many siblings. And I don't give a damn what anyone has to say about him OR his flaring nostrils: for my money, Larkin Malloy was one of the most dashing, sophisticated men ever to work in this business. I mean, the man was BORN to wear a tux, know what I'm saying, lol?
  21. He and Andrea Evans were FIRE together on OLTL. Without question. In order for a man to qualify as sexy, he needs to be more than just a tight pair of jeans and a smile. He also needs to be intelligent, mature, loaded with charm and charisma and self-confident almost to the point of being cocksure. He needs to be the type whom women want to sleep with, and other guys want to have a beer with, too. To me, Roscoe Born fit that bill. As did Philip Brown...and Terry Lester...and Drake Hogestyn...and Wayne Northrop...and David Canary...and so many others, I couldn't begin to name them all, lol.
