primetime menu issue
Back in 2022, I posted this on another thread: @Errol fixed it back then after I posted about it. The issue now (December 2023) is not the same as it was then, but still, somewhat similar. All I see in the primetime menu now is the name of each network (with no thread titles visible). And then below that I see the names of threads for non-network shows. I could not find the thread for the proposed AMC reboot anywhere today. Finally found it when i opened the ABC Primetime submenu link, and then there was a display of multiple different threads for ABC primetime shows. When this worked more efficiently, you could click on "primetime" and see what threads are currently active. Now you have to click on a network header to see that.

The above list of six people are the Gold and Silver Circle honorees for the Daytime Emmys. There were also a separate group of Gold and Silver Circle honorees for the Children's & Family Emmys. Their names are listed here: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/natas-2023-gold-silver-circle-inductees-1235660972/ Both sets of Gold and Silver Circle honorees (Daytime and Children&Family) were fêted at a private luncheon on December 14. https://theemmys.tv/emmy-weekend-2023/ Per other information on the Emmys website, there were Gold and Silver Circle honorees for News and Documentary Emmys, celebrated in September 2023. https://theemmys.tv/news-44th-gold-silver-circle/ I don't know if there are Gold and Silver honorees in other divisions of the Emmys. Up until October 13, 2023 they were accepting applications/suggestions/recommendations for more potential Gold and Silver honorees (apparently for the primetime Emmys? ). The decision on those have not yet been announced. https://theemmys.tv/honors/ The blurb says: To be considered for induction in the 2023 Silver Circle, a candidate’s career must have begun prior to 1998. For 2023 Gold Circle consideration, a candidate’s career must have begun prior to 1973. An individual’s entire career need not have been spent with a single company or network. The selection committee will consider the following criteria for all individuals recommended for induction into the Silver and Gold Circle. Service to the television or media-related industries. Service to the community involving television or allied media Service to people working in or training for careers in television or allied media. There will be no outside circulation of ballots, lists of names under consideration, etc. All discussion of candidates will remain confidential. One Life to Live Tribute Thread
No. Viki was one aspect but not the center. My time watching was 1969-1975. 1976-1982 was sporadic, I didn't have a TV, I lived in a college town, sometimes went to the campus and watched the soaps in a dormitory common room. The Lords and the Woleks were the contrast of rich and working class. I saw it as an even balance. With the Rileys and the Craigs as other families to round it out. They were all home to me. And Carla Gray was part of all that. And when I was watching, they featured both sisters equally - Viki and Meredith. Meredith was dating Larry Wolek. Vince Wolek was Joe Riley's best friend. I adored Wanda And I remember Anna Wolek Craig, her face and voice and demeanor was so vivid from my childhood. And decades later the actress looked and sounded the same. I about fell over when I saw her in the movie Tootsie. And the same as a judge on Law and Order. It was uncanny. Wanda dated Vince Wolek, but meanwhile Viki became Niki Smith and also dated Vince. As a child with no internet, this wasn't something I knew about, but my older sister and I conversed and came to understand that multiple personalities is a diagnosis (nowadays called DID but not back then). I was team Wanda. I related more to the working class characters.

ABC: ‘All My Children’: Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos Developing Primetime Version
Yeah, it seems like clickbait at first the way it's introduced. That writer tends to write clickbait articles. But Susan Lucci did talk about it on December 11, 2023, if you scroll down that soaps.sheknows article to the youtube embedded within it. Lucci was on GMA3 (third hour of Good Morning America). To keep it simple, I'll just post the youtube here: They start talking about the AMC reboot at 3:05. Lucci says she's been told it's still alive.

The character of Finn seems to me to be an annoying gnat. I don't want Elizabeth with him. I hope Leslie C.'s return as Monica is for family stuff and for no more stuff about Finn Please do not use up Monica and Tracy episodes with Finn. (sigh)

Update: The reason Jacqueline MacInnes Wood thanked Kimberlin Brown is probably (?) because Kimberlin was on her reel... In the Emmy winners interview area at the Emmys, JMW told soaphub what her reel was. Part of the reel was about Kimberlin shooting Steffy and Finn and the aftermath. and other stuff that year. I didn't quite hear everything JMW said. That's the first time I've seen JMW's reel mentioned. To keep everything together, I posted that interview on page five of what has become the "reels thread" https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/65437-daytime-emmys-to-now-air-on-december-15th/page/5

Y&R/DAYS: actors make returns
I suspected as much, since Chapman said she was appearing New Year's Eve. And Eliz Hendrickson's attire seems slightly more NewYearsy than Christmassy in these pics. That set of Y&R BTS photos from soapoperanews.net were labeled by them as "Holiday photos" but I think they are simply BTS photos of *actors on sets decorated for the holidays*. Genoa City still has Christmas decor on New Year's Eve. So it seems that some of that set of pics are BTS for New Year's Eve, and some are BTS for Christmas, and some could be your generic Y&R business meeting in a restaurant, LOL. https://www.soapoperanews.net/2023/12/the-young-and-restless-cast-in-holiday.html

I know that Bryton and Brytni were dating in 2019 and then moved in together by 2020. They were public about that. At some point in 2020 or 2021 they split. For a while they seemed distant. I think they resumed their friendship in the past year or so, and they traveled together *with other actors* in 2022 to see Christian Le Blanc in the Off-Broadway "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". I haven't heard that they resumed their romance but what do I know? I think the marriage is just a rumor? Also, some of the red carpet press were misinformed about a lot of things and one didn't know who Susan Lucci was. So a photographer calling Brytni "Mrs. James" might not mean anything? She just smiled because what could she do, she's on the red carpet and supposed to be posing for photos. I couldn't tell if it was a bemused smile about silly rumors, or if it's actually true? I just don't know.- B&B: Popular Actress OUT!
From the Deadline article December 15 Krista says: "And here we are on this amazing day, and I am so excited. And tomorrow I take off. I’m moving to Atlanta, Georgia. It just seemed like the perfect time to go. It’s turning the page on this really interesting chapter, and now we’re going to the next one." From Krista Allen ig stories, morning of December 16: I don't know why she's moving to Atlanta, but there are opportunities there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_industry_in_Georgia_(U.S._state)- B&B: Popular Actress OUT!
@dragonflies since the stupid twitter/X company is still broken and embeds won't display on any site, (I can't believe it's been broken for 18 hours already!) Maybe you could edit the first post of the thread to show the link to the Deadline article so anyone new to the thread can find it? https://deadline.com/2023/12/the-bold-the-beautiful-krista-allen-taylor-hayes-leaving-show-1235669419/ Edit, I see you did that, Thanks!- DAYS: December 2023 Discussion Thread

Alley Mills on the winners red carpet. Near the beginning, she lifts one leg a little so that you can see that the bottoms of her shoes are bright red. Later, there's a close-up of her shoes around 1:50 At one point Alley looks up and speaks to the spirit of her late husband Orson Bean. I love her individual look. I also love that she's nothing like her B&B character Pam Douglas at all, LOL. Alley Mills is a real actress, her portrayal of Heather on GH was phenomenal.- 2023 Daytime Emmys Live Discussion Thread
