GH: January 2024 Discussion Thread
omg yes. They should have cast Mathison as the Deception spokesmodel. Or the host of the Port Charles Home and Hearth shopping channel. I could take him in small doses a few times a year like that. But not as Drew Cain. I know they wanted to cast a love interest for Carly, but he just doesn't do it.

GH: January 2024 Discussion Thread
A great deal of the problem is that Cameron Mathison's portrayal of whatever character is superficial and clichéd. Mathison was a saccharine daytime talkshow host for a few years and now that seeps into his portrayal of Drew Cain who should be nothing like that. He's not acting. He's talking to Carly as if he were a talkshow host who thinks he's a life coach.

Soap Hoppers: The Soap Actors And Roles Thread
I knew the bartender character was named N'Neka - named N'Neka after the GH producer N'Neka Garland. The character was never given a last name. This was discussed when the producer passed away in early 2023. Just learned that in the Sept. 19, 2023 episode, introductions were made at the Savoy, and Selina Wu introduced the bartender to Zion as N'Neka Garland. https://tvmeg.com/index.php/2023/09/19/gh-transcript-tuesday-september-19-2023/

DAYS: December 2023 Episode Rankings & Stats
In the resource archive section's thread for 2023 Days end credits https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/65706-2023 @Toups listed for the Dec. 28, 2023 end credits: Writers’ Assistants Tyler Topits Kirk Doering Isaac Francis Tackman I assume that the show listed the writers assistants in error, since they would have been on strike. @JAS0N47 has the show been listing the writers assistants since the strike material began airing earlier in December? Or should the assistants' work still be reflected in the credits? Doering on the strike line, May 10, 2023, via Christopher Sean ig stories:

Y&R/B&B: January 2024 Spoilers
Christel Khalil is on maternity leave. Her baby is/was due in December, but if she has given birth, it has not yet been announced. In June 2023, CK announced her pregnancy. Also, meanwhile, in summer 2023 Michael was working as Phyllis' attorney. But suddenly Christian LeBlanc got sick so they wrote it into the show that Michael suddenly had to go to Singapore to rescue Gloria which seemed odd, until CLB announced months later that he was being treated for cancer. So what the show did was write in Heather as Phyllis' emergency replacement attorney. The character Heather was already written as living in Portugal and visiting Genoa City occasionally. So when CLB got sick and CK announced her pregnancy, the show gradually brought Heather onto the canvas with more visits to Genoa City. And then about a month or two ago, Heather decided to leave Portugal and move back to Genoa City, which was clearly timed to be in place before CK's leave. They wrote CK's leave as Lily helping her daughter Matttie. Mattie attends an out-of-state university, and there was a wildfire on campus and one of Mattie's teachers died, and Mattie is traumatized (all of which was told via offscreen phonecalls). So Lily went to stay with Mattie for a while and is taking a temporary leave of absence from Chancellor-Winters. The show announced when Vail Bloom first returned [in early 2023] that she would appear for a few episodes as Heather, to help with introducing teenaged Lucy Romalotti to the canvas. But the situations with CLB and CK seemed to have caused the show to bring in Heather more fully.

Y&R/B&B: January 2024 Spoilers
This is a Sharon stand-alone episode. https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/sharon-case-previews-young-and-restlesss-sharon-centric-show/ Sharon has a dream because is deciding about her future – Crimson Lights, her Kirsten company, and whatever is happening (or not happening) with Chance. Sharon Case says: “This was really written like a dream where it goes from one wild thing to another and sometimes it’s quite non sequitur. The vignettes I was doing with the other characters, you would never imagine in a million years. It was just some really fun, off-the-wall stuff. We all had a great time with it.”

Y&R: Former Port Charles actor joins the show
Jim Halterman posted on his ig today Dec. 29. The post is set up so that it cannot be embedded but if you click on the link, it has five pages of photos of his memories at TV guide, including cover stories, interviews, etc. https://www.instagram.com/p/C1baKRfpzs0 I have really appreciated Halterman's work through the years. I remember way back when he was at AfterElton, covering Will Horton's storyline.
