  1. Wedding preview article from SOD https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/gh-preview-brook-lynn-and-chase-get-married/
  2. That's why I start my daily news reading at Guardian/news/world https://www.theguardian.com/world That has a few of the most recent headlines from several regions/countries, and the places are in alphabetical order: Africa Americas (includes Central, North, and South America) Asia Pacific Australia Europe Middle East South and Central Asia UK US Click on any of those places and it gives more stories. I really like this because it reorients my brain away from the U.S. news. It's not perfect -- because sometimes the latest headline from a place might be a random unimportant thing or entertainment/celeb stuff, and some things are written from a Western perspective; but still it really helps me see stuff I wouldn't usually see. And I try to click on each place/region to see more. But still, even then, I don't know what's happening in the Sudan, so thanks for mentioning it, and I'll go look.
  3. input the article URL here https://archive.is/ It might show a bunch of green code on your screen while it's loading, and then when ready, it appears.
  4. More from the same photographer and SOD link

  8. SoapOperaNews.net has a typo. They said: Wed. May 15 "Ashley’s devise a dangerous plan." The real spoiler could be any of the following: "Ashley devises" or "The Ashleys devise" or " [name of one of Ashley's alters] devises" --- Edit: update: per zap2it (Link) it's supposed to say "Ashley devises a dangerous plan."

  10. There couldn't be any coordination between Ron and the scab writers. The WGA strike rules made it clear: in order to remain in good standing with the guild (union) , writers couldn't plan, draft, write, or communicate writing ideas during the entire span of the strike. Well maybe you were just saying you *wish* there could have been coordination, even though we know there couldn't be. I get that.
  11. Josh Griffith participated on Tuesday (May 7) at “Changing the Narrative: Children’s Mental Health in Entertainment & Media,” a panel presented by The Kids Mental Health Foundation and the Mental Health Storytelling Coalition. "In discussing the genesis of Y&R‘s OCD storyline, Griffith shared during the panel how his own daughter struggled with the disorder for years, yet was not actually diagnosed until age 26." “It’s going to be a very emotional and ultimately gratifying journey to a better place for Connor psychologically,” says Griffith. “But it only started in March, and we’ve got a good ways to go.”

  16. I was afraid it was too slow-loading to scroll through. I was inserting three tweets into each post, and then waiting a while to start the next post. I thought that would be more readable, but it was taking forever to load, and almost not worth it. Then I replaced a lot of the tweets and ig posts with credited images, to make it load a little quicker. But I'm still wondering if it's too much, or if there's some way to make it more readable/scrollable? Any suggestions would be welcomed. @Errol @Toups or anyone reading.
  17. This is what I think the Nurses Ball should be like! You know, a benefit for AIDS charities. Remember when it was about Robin and Stone? I say get rid of the glitzy dresses and tuxes, or at least tone that down a bit. Certainly get rid of the "Nurses Ball Red Carpet" nonsense and cattiness. Make it be about the *charity fundraiser* and not glitz and glam. GH is supposed to be a HOSPITAL show.
  18. You're welcome. I found the photos from this to be more fun than the Emmys. A *lot* of actors from multiple soaps- and fans -- as humans connecting - without the glitz and the red carpet. And I didn't see any interviews being conducted. It was just people helping people and having fun. And it was for a service. It just felt more *real* to me.
  19. May 6, 2024 from SOD https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/daytime-unites-raises-thousands-for-als-research/ Peter Bergman: “I said yes to anything Nancy says. I say yes to anything Nancy has. It’s lovely. This is the coolest thing. Everyone’s nerves are usually up for the Emmys when we normally see each other. On a day like today, you could get to really hang with people from other shows [without the stress]. That was fun.” Patrika Darbo: “When there are certain illnesses, that whatever celebrity I have... I can offer and help bring some money in to find a cure, then I’m all about that. . . . . I think that we all need to band together for that. I mean, we’ve gone to the moon and now we want to go to Mars, but we can’t cure the common cold for God’s sakes, let alone all these diseases that are debilitating and taking our loved ones away from us.”
  20. Varni was at the (and posted pics of) the DaytimeUnites charity event for ALS on May 4 (organized by NLG with actors from all the soaps). The ALS organization "ALS ONE" tweeted thanks to him.
  21. Michael Fairmain posts photos from the event https://michaelfairmantv.com/stars-come-out-in-support-of-nancy-lee-grahn-als-benefit/2024/05/05/ He credits JPI for these photos. In my opinion, the C.Conley photos and some of the fan photos, seemed more warm and relaxed, less formal, and better lit? JMO.
  22. Thanks @John I have now fixed my typo. Oddly, in my mind I was typing Alley but in reality I typed Haley. I guess my brain did its own "incorrect autocorrect".
  23. In-depth interview with Alley Mills about Heather. It mentions something from May 7 episode, so if you want to remain unspoiled, wait until after you watch that. There's no spoilers about future stuff. The interview is mainly insight into how she plays the character, and how she researched the cobalt poisoning condition, etc.. https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-alley-mills-opens-up-about-heathers-medical-crisis/ edited to correct my name error
  24. The guest of honor at the event was Michelle Strojny who is living with ALS. Michelle has been fighting for awareness and funding for a cure. This is Michelle's website: https://riseagainstals.com ----------------------------------- This May 4, 2024 Daytime Unites event raised over $71,000.00 for ALS research!
  25. Uncle Vinnie's Comedy Club hosts a lot of soap fan events. They donated to this fundraiser. ---------------------------------- ---------------------------------- ----------------------------------
