Fyi, yesterday May 4, there was a "Daytime Unites" charity fan event to raise money for ALS research. Organized by Nancy Lee Grahn who has a friend living with ALS. The emcee was Genie's husband Jonathan Frakes who recently lost a Star Trek friend-colleague to ALS. With participation from actors from all four soaps. Jonathan Frakes began the intros saying he was honoring his friend actor Kenneth Mitchell who recently died of ALS. The event was a benefit for ALS One. https://alsone.org Blurb on their site: "ALS ONE is an unprecedented partnership of world leaders in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) research and care who have joined forces to expedite research towards a cure while helping all individuals who are living with the disease now." Nancy met someone at a zoom event a few years ago and they became friends. Her name is Michelle Strojny, and she is living with ALS. Nancy organized this event in honor of her friend to support research for treatment for ALS. (The fictional character Gregory on GH also has ALS).
