He and Dani got into it a bit as she’s not ready to be seen openly with him still, and they both realized they were hung up on other people - Andre on Ashley (thought he never said her name) and especially Dani on Bill. Of course neither learnt anything and then proceeded to have sex again.

I wonder if Anita stole the spotlight at Barbara’s funeral in the same way Ms. Ross did when she arrived to Florence Ballard’s funeral in this over the top ensemble with cameras focused on her.

Too many returns, that's when you know a show has run out of ideas and doesn't care anymore. Zoe annoyed the sh!t out of me most times, but the Kat/Zoe storyline will always be iconic and close to my heart (that's the era I first started following the show in near real-time), and probably the only storyline in 21st century EastEnders that had long-term value for the characters involved during their initial run together. However, after all this time and the writing choice that Zoe never wants to see Kat again, I think that ship has sailed and I don't know that it makes sense to revisit it at this point.

I wonder who brought Tracey Thompson in - yes, MVJ was on the same scriptwriting team at GH with her, but I wonder why she felt she needed another Co-HW after the Guza experiment, and why TT of all people. In other news, @Errol, any verification on @mikelyons scoop (who has been reliable in the past) about JFP returning to Y&R in some capacity?

Totally, exactly my sentiments.

Look, I just don’t see GH playing any aftermath here or what the long term value is for either Brook Lynn or Dante as characters. Brook Lynn and Dante have a child, who is technically an adult now - does that change anything about their relationship or create future storylines for them? I don’t see it and it would be pretty ridiculous to do a learning to co-parent storyline for an adult child. The writers wanted an insta-child and they got one, so now what? I’d also be pleasantly surprised if they do play out any long term ramifications from Gio’s perspective as well.

All I need is a top hat and it would remind me of the female Penguin in the Batman Caped Crusader animated series, or just Penguin in general.

They got a few decent episodes out of it, but I don’t see the long term goal or story potential here. Lois will likely go back on the back burner pretty soon, Gio is technically an adult, and who cares about Dante and Book Lynn having a child together in the long run? After the initial shock wears off, there’s no story left as it’s not like Dante and Brook Lynn are in love with each other but torn apart by circumstance, or their insta-child is reliant on them in any real capacity. It all feels very shortsighted.

Dani is disgusting and continues to break the law by breaking into Haley and Bill’s house. She’s the aggressor constantly playing the victim.

The fake-outs are poorly produced, IMO.

Are your sources holding firm on the JFP scoop, @mikelyons? Any reason why the trades have not gotten a hold of this yet? They were quick to report when Ed Scott came back late last year. Do you know what capacity she’d be coming back in? EP? Consultant?

Yes, Peacock (and Paramount+ tbh) is a struggling platform in the grand scheme of streaming. In Nielsen's Streaming Overall and Original charts (which is always published on a month's delay), they don't register a single show in the top 10 of either chart. Netflix still dominates this space, but the other steamers have made some inroads and have been able to crack the top 10 more regularly.

I'm going to be so sad when she's written out or leaves. I know characters like this have an expiration date or just come and go often, but I really think she's been an incredible asset to this freshly launched soap. You would think she's been doing soaps for decades, she's a real pro.
