Are your sources holding firm on the JFP scoop, @mikelyons? Any reason why the trades have not gotten a hold of this yet? They were quick to report when Ed Scott came back late last year. Do you know what capacity she’d be coming back in? EP? Consultant?

Yes, Peacock (and Paramount+ tbh) is a struggling platform in the grand scheme of streaming. In Nielsen's Streaming Overall and Original charts (which is always published on a month's delay), they don't register a single show in the top 10 of either chart. Netflix still dominates this space, but the other steamers have made some inroads and have been able to crack the top 10 more regularly.

I'm going to be so sad when she's written out or leaves. I know characters like this have an expiration date or just come and go often, but I really think she's been an incredible asset to this freshly launched soap. You would think she's been doing soaps for decades, she's a real pro.

With shows like Y&R and GH, it doesn’t matter who is in charge anymore. They just want to produce something quickly and cheap.

He’s probably just happy to be back “home” and working on the show he’s most attached to while not dealing with the stress of being EP again.

The bright side is JFP forced Josh Griffith out the last time they worked together, but that is no guarantee we’d get a halfway decent HW. And who knows what the power structure is like if she’s back?

I’d like to see Ashley paired with a fatal gunshot.

Rory is a good looking guy, but definitely boring and lacking in any screen presence. Not that CD set the world on fire either, but they definitely could have done better than this.

She’s such a caricature - which is a shame because I think the actress is capable of so much more. I don’t know why Cady often feels like she has overcompensated in her performances. She already proved she can play much more than just Dixie Cooley during her first stint at ATWT (her best acting era). Her performances in various roles since then have been quite strange at times.

Ashley and Derek are a sleeping pill. The writing for them sucks, yes, but Jen Jacob and Ben Gavin do NOTHING to stand out or make any of it the least bit interesting. Boring actors playing boring characters.

Dani as a model never sat right with me, especially when some of the cringe dialogue was saying she was a rival to Naomi Campbell. Not trying to be mean or disparaging against her, but in no world would Dani/Karla Mosley's looks have ever have been accepted in the real world and ultra competitive high fashion modeling industry - certainly not 15-20 years ago. I get this is fiction, but come on...

I just can't buy her and Tyrell as siblings close in age. That's absurd. Yes, soaps play around with age and we have to suspend disbelief a lot - but it makes things glaringly obvious when her character is supposed to be close to age as her sibling that's played by an actor closer to the age of his character.

She painfully sticks out, it’s awful. I can’t believe the producers don’t see this.

I am tired of Dani and Andre and the constant loop of sex scenes as well. Is there anything of substance there beyond sex?

The writing lets Anita as a character down. She has no agency, is completely reactionary, and she and Vernon have the same conversations over and over again. The stage fright/singing angle is such a lame angle as well. There is no story there. They have TT and need to write something great for her.
