Dani as a model never sat right with me, especially when some of the cringe dialogue was saying she was a rival to Naomi Campbell. Not trying to be mean or disparaging against her, but in no world would Dani/Karla Mosley's looks have ever have been accepted in the real world and ultra competitive high fashion modeling industry - certainly not 15-20 years ago. I get this is fiction, but come on...

I just can't buy her and Tyrell as siblings close in age. That's absurd. Yes, soaps play around with age and we have to suspend disbelief a lot - but it makes things glaringly obvious when her character is supposed to be close to age as her sibling that's played by an actor closer to the age of his character.

The writing lets Anita as a character down. She has no agency, is completely reactionary, and she and Vernon have the same conversations over and over again. The stage fright/singing angle is such a lame angle as well. There is no story there. They have TT and need to write something great for her.

Agreed - and I stand by thinking MVJ’s personal friendship with Karla Mosley skews the writing for this character. The writing is slanted IMO that we’re supposed to be on Dani’s side, root for her, cheer her on as she berates other characters. I don’t, and I find the character very shrill, annoying, and one-note.

She really does - they are clearly writing this as if Dani is supposed to be THAT GIRL that we’re supposed to find fierce and rootable. I don’t and she needs to stop trying to make everything about her miserable ass self.

We have to deal with more Tide and Febreeze - that’s really what’s paying the bills for the show, so it’s a necessary evil.

I wish they’d inject some of Colby’s real life energy, and yes, fashion sense, into Kat.

I disagree, Jon Lindstrom is boring as hell on this show and the Joey character is not clicking. When Anita went on and on about how she landed the ideal man in Vernon and what a saint he is - I just hoped that Vernon knocked a few other women up somewhere.
