  1. We don't want him back on the East Coast either. 🤩🤗
  2. Hollywood (and the country) would rather be racist than sustainable as an industry.
  3. Yes, hence the word "consider". As I said, I know this sometimes happens, through no one's fault but sometimes, a glance up thread, or on a previous page is all it takes.
  4. One can question the timing of this (i.e.- why didn't this happen sooner?), still this seems big. Some have mentioned that she is poised to take a lot of evangelical women with her. *On a side note, I am noticing some posts that are defacto duplicates of other posts. Can we consider being more conscientious about this? I have unintentionally done this too, on occasion, particularly if a new post is posted simultaneously and gets bumped to a new page but I try to look back to make sure I am not posting something that has already been posted. Or, if I have something to add, I will at least quote the previous post before adding mine, thereby bumping the other post, so it doesn't get lost. So many posts are being lost at the rate new posts are coming in and it just becomes a kind of "white noise". I don't know about anyone else, but it has caused me to skip, rather than read a number of posts. Just a thought.*
  5. Honestly, if they replaced it with a third hour of TPIR I doubt anyone would truly care. Or second hour, whatever, lol. It matters little.
  6. This show has been a toxic mess since the very beginning, from everything I have read. If TPTB had any decency (which they don't), they would have already pulled the plug on this circus.
  7. Oh, so sixteen have been confirmed, I just wanted to know who has already been confirmed. There may be names on the White House website but this gives me a general figure. Thanks. Yes, I already know how the previous administration stalled things, while being indifferent to filling many positions. Speaking of which,
  8. Marcia Fudge also got Senate confirmation. Is there a link to a list of all the cabinet confirmations? Oh, and this schmuck is trying to tout the benefits of a bill he didn't even vote for.
  9. Just cancel it, it's garbage. CBS Daytime relies on a significant slice of the AA viewing audience to keep their lineup afloat and having Osbourne, with her ignorant ass, berate her colleague who is a black woman is not the way to gin up ratings. Their daytime shows are already dying, they might as well bury this one, like the compost heap it truly is. The only way this show is truly going to gin up ratings is if they put Oprah in charge of the show because clearly she knows how to deliver big ratings in a way that CBS hasn't truly known, outside of sports. CBS is terrible too-look who they put in charge for decades, Leslie Moonves. Toxic to the core . Glad I avoid 90% of what this network presents as programming.
  10. Seeing clips of Sharon Osbourne going after Sheryl Underwood justifies my decision to never waste my time on this show. IMO, this show is absolute garbage.
  11. Didn't South Africa air ATWT at some point, at the end of the show's broadcast run? Somehow, I remember the Soap classics streaming sites including one for The Netherlands and one for South Africa.
  12. She probably said this because she likely got sick of those annoying fans of the show tagging her in tweets complaining about her character. Soap fans' behavior can really be embarrassing sometimes.
  13. That's what all the brouhaha was about?! Her Betsy was kind of ditzy, what's wrong with saying so, lol? The way people go on about her, one would've thought that she insulted someone's mother. *shrugs*
  14. They continue to embarrass themselves. A lot and often.
  15. Hm, I wonder why? 🙄 Oh wait- "There's just not the antipathy to Biden like there was Obama. He just doesn't drive conservative outrage," said Alex Conant, a longtime GOP operative, who worked for the Republican National Committee in 2009 as they labored to undermine then President Barack Obama."
  16. Crowe is a hothead but I never understood the vehement dislike for Meg Ryan. Many people claim she has disparaged her soap past but of all the interviews and articles that I have read, I have yet to see/read this.
  17. Probably due to the pandemic, NCAA adjusted its schedule. Which, in turn affects broadcast air times. The sad fact of the matter is that KSJ was being wasted on poorly written story for years before his passing.
  18. If Y&R hired a Black scriptwriter, that AA/Black demo must be dumping the show in numbers too large to ignore.
  19. Many of us were watching with a "we'll see where this is headed" perspective.
  20. One aspect that I posted in the Harry& Meghan thread (which, I no longer wish to visit as it looks like a complete clusterf*ck now), is the conditional (and as it turns out, disingenuous) support of many whites toward BLM. Even with the article's obvious narrative flaws, the overall example is one of peak conditional support that was never genuine to begin with. Dancing with BLM activists one day, storming the Capitol the next.
  21. While I regarded Lula da Silva as a charismatic leader whose initiatives led multitudes of Brazilians out of poverty, geez Brazil, can't you find new candidates? Preferably ones who haven't been to jail for corruption? Still, considering their current President, Lula would be a massive improvement. Brazil needs fresh leaders.
  22. Glad that people are actually watching the interview. So many of the most negative comments appear to have come from people who didn't watch the interview. A few years ago, I remember getting pulled down a YouTube rabbit hole, all because I watched a trailer for The Crown (a series that was alleged to have had tacit approval from the royal family, until the portrayals became less sympathetic). There was some documentary where some former palace adviser and a Prince Charles biographer claimed that Diana was a master manipulator, who worked the press and knew how toake herself sympathetic. The biographer suggested that Diana's mannerisms, down to the way she cocked her head to the side were all practiced affectations. This contrasted with tapes of Diana, who worked with a speech therapist, struggling to work through nerves and a lack of confidence. The symmetry is a bit unsettling. You realize that Diana was once spoken of as if she were a problem to resolve.
  23. Oh the irony! Honestly though, I believe that one has the capacity for change, but one must demonstrate that change in actions, not just words and although I was dubious about anyone being that clueless about the implications of wearing such a costume, I have since given Harry the benefit of the doubt, even before he married Meghan. If anyone tries to make pronouncements on the feelings of the Commonwealth without acknowledgement of the fact that the majority of the Commonwealth consists of people if a darker hue, well as someone whose heritage intersects with that a former colony that whose people were enslaved by Great Britain and Spain, we'll, I just can't take anyone who fails to acknowledge that seriously.
  24. I took a photo in front of Buckingham Palace when I was a student studying there. I had to go as part of an assignment where we had to visit a number of British landmarks. I tried to get out of it by visiting Madame Tussaud's Wax museum but I was told that was not on the list of acceptable landmarks. I was pissed, lol. Buckingham Palace is a place where the British Empire has furnished their palace with stolen artifacts from their subjugated colonies and conquests. Talk about gold diggers. I couldn't wait to get out of there. At least I looked good in the picture.
