None whatsoever...until I saw someone's tweet that Felix Auger-Aliassime apparently unfollowed Matteo.😲 Here I thought they were such good friends (or so the commentators keep telling us any time they play each other). I know that Felix's girlfriend is Ajla's what... cousin or something? But what could Matteo have done that would make Felix, his supposedly good friend, and seemingly such a mild mannered friend at that, unfollow him on social media? And who are the people who actually monitor the unfollows of others?? Apparently, he's following again, or never stopped? Boy, I can't believe I'm following this adolescent drama! 😂

I think it's the makeup tbh. When Giorgi is on the court sans makeup, she looks younger than this.

His character was interesting on Mad Men but that was definitely a supporting character to Christina Hendricks' character Joan, which presented an intriguing dynamic in how many unknowns there were as to the true nature of their relationship. Wolk definitely gives a supporting character type. In those instances, you really need to weave a complex persona and backstory, as well as running story. That's how he'd best work dramatically, imo.

Tennis Twitter can be irascible but sometimes the meme and the replies mix in a hilarious way. The comment that mentioned a one-time quote by Giorgi about how she didn't "watch woman tennis" as the reason why she's hanging out with Lepchenko, because she doesn't realize that Lepchenko is suspended (yet again) for taking a banned substance. Also, why does Giorgi look like she's in her 50s in this picture??!

This series (which got a second season renewal fairly early on) seems to be very popular. The casting, while not perfect, has been very solid, imo. Vernee Watson and Daphne Maxwell Reid are both appearing in the season finale. It would not surprise me if OG "Aunt Viv" makes an appearance in season 2, at some point. And by OG "Aunt Viv", I mean the actress who portrayed her, Janet Hubert.

Ordinary people seem to have little interest in seeing the ordinary on their screens, I guess. And yeah, mayonnaise stories and bland characters ain't gonna cut it these days. Time has moved on but I think Hollywood still has a hard time letting go of those types of characters and stories. This is the same type of thinking that led to many industry folk to label Woody Allen as some type of genius. His stories are usually all about centering bland white guys.
