Frank needs to go. As if it wasn't apparent before, it is apparent now after this story.

GENERAL HOSPITAL June 2022 Discussion Thread
GH is really tone deaf when it comes to directing/playing things out on screen. The way they played those scenes between Esme and Nik was either like the audience had been waiting/rooting for this, or it was just "sexy summer hijinks" (complete with some odd background music) when in reality it should be much more serious than that.

Rest in Peace, Lee Lawson
Wow, this has been a tough time for GL fans. I didn't know she was on Love of Life, and seemed to be somewhat of a prominent character.

When Did Each Soap Become a Hit
GL: I'm just thinking aloud here, but I would take a guess that it really became a hit when Meta Bauer was put on trial for killing Ted White. Ryan's Hope: I want to say around the time Delia's schemes were revealed about what she did to hold on to Pat. Jill and the beach house explosion. Mary and Jack's romance. So maybe 3-4 years after they premiered.

Best/Worst Production Value Periods on Soaps
The only time DAYS seemed to be regaining some ground back in regards to production quality, was when Ed Scott was EP. However that didn't last long.

He's just so weird. From his god awful handwriting to his behavior as a closeted man. Good riddance.

The Politics Thread
Won't see the media opine about Trump's dwindling influence amongst primary voters for candidates he backed, or about how the Republican party is seemingly split down the middle with some of those voting percentages. Not surprised.

ARTICLE: ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Hits Yet Another New Season High in Total Viewers, New Best Since Pre-Pandemic Originals
I'm happy for B&B, despite my issues with them, they're the only one of the soaps actually putting a strong effort to attract new viewers while maintaining the ones they got. Scripting aside, I wish the other soaps had such energy.

Y&R May 2022 Discussion Thread
Right up JG's alley, "Rey and Chelsea were both in the car at the time of the crash. As it turns out they were carrying on a secret affair, and were planning to running away together." Nick reveals to Sharon, who weeps at the revelation. It's also a revelation to the audience.

Days of Our Lives: May 2022 Discussion Thread
This is why I've never been able to buy his version of Brady, and yes the nominations puzzle me. He might have put some work back during the Kristen/Eric reveal, but that is the only moment I didn't find him ..meh.

Well Plotted Soap Stories
GL: Roger Thorpe's Return in 1989 which gave way to his rise and fall. Romance with Alexandria. Blake incorporating herself with the Spaulding men, starting with Phillip, then Alan-Michael. Roger's dirty dealings at Spaulding, affair with Mindy, and it all culminating at the Country Club where Alexandria read him for filth in front of the whole town. Brilliant stuff all around.

ARTICLE: Nominations Announced for ‘The 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards’
I like the idea of nominating two, instead of four or whatever number they have now. Across the pond for the BAFTA's even though they have not as many soaps as well (more than US of course), they still manage to leave a few out for best continuing drama, this year it was Hollyoaks and EastEnders.

The Politics Thread
Steven Schmidt has been dropping all sorts of bombshells on twitter regarding the McCain campaign. All because Meghan had labeled him a pedo.
