Aaand the talks about it in past tense, because of course she is. Another one of those "quirks" with the show filming a trillion years ahead.

Now that the secret’s officially out, I gotta say that I have mixed feelings about this.

Is this all really necessary?

Nikki Crawford was posting on her IG and fb regularly from June-September 2025 about taping a project, and said on June 10, 2025 that she was on week four of taping. She never said what show she was taping, but she kept the "Burbank Studios" location tag in her posts. I thought this was generally known, so I didn't post it here; but I guess it hadn't been posted.

Noel Maxam's interview in August 2025 talked about the DiMeras being important. The November 2025 DAYS trailer video for the upcoming season has EJ showing a shocked Paulina who is in the pod. That and Nikki's resemblance to Renée Jones made it obvious that the person in the pod was either Lexie or a Rolf-sci-fi recreation of Lexie.
The way her hair and make-up is styled in her social media posts looks very similar to this (except Nikki doesn't have bangs)

Nikki Crawford posted on Sept. 19, 2025 that it was her last day taping.

And that’s a wrap of the season, ya’ll!! These last 5 months have brought me so much joy. Working with some amazing people and being blessed to work on juicy material! I can’t wait until you all see this!!

This has been one of the most FANTASTIC birthday weeks of my life!! I spent the week working, which is the best gift ever, and then having a wonderful birthday party with some of my favorite people. God has truly blessed me and I couldn’t be more grateful!!

And now, I must pack to catch a plane tonight for my Caribbean cruise!! I’ll post when I can!

Oh, and I have some FABULOUS news to share about my next project in a week or so! 🤩🤩🤩

I loved Lexie so I am at least interested but the show has been so awful. I tried and watched around two months and had to stop because it was so bad. I know the new EP has just started airing but with the same writers I can't say I have much hope. I will try and tune in again and see how this goes but it sucks knowing it's yet another short term return.

No offense to the actress. A job is a job, so good for her. But...why? Lexie's end seemed final, and she has been gone for ages now. (I include Megan in this gripe, too. She was dead and gone. Can we please stop with the cartoonish science fiction crap and work on real stories, please?)

Like... couldn't they have done more with Peter instead since fans had been asking for him for, what? 25 years? Only to get a few days with a recast. I guess this Lexie will last a few months (judging from her recording dates), but still. What if she takes off as nuLexie? It'll be at least a year before we'll be able to see her again (assuming that this actress would even want to commit long-term).

I don't get this bring back long-gone (or dead) characters only to have them a limited time on the canvas. Same with Megan.
