I enjoyed today's show. The best part of it for me was actually Cam/Esme. Avery Pohl is doing a good job as Esme, I like the scenes where she was talking to Cam about the sadness in her family and the drama that they had. It was interesting. Even Joss was being more sympathetic towards her today. I do wonder who she will end up drugging/who will get drugged at the cabin.

I also liked seeing Spencer/Trina interact again today. I think they will definitely get closer again once he starts working at the gallery. NC looks like he's been working out more.

And I even liked Sonny/Carly's scenes today. I do feel like Sonny answered Carly as honestly as he could about his feelings for Nina. He has them, but I also think he wants to keep his family intact with Carly and wishes he didn't have to deal with his feelings for Nina.

Yeah, never again do I want to hear anyone complain (even in jest) that Claire Labine's GH was too depressing to watch.  Trust me, her GH wasn't nearly as depressing as mourning three or four deaths in a row.

I actually liked the Sprina/Ava scenes today. What struck me in particular was when Spencer and Ava were talking about Trina - Spencer actually dropped his guard around Ava and was quite honest about how he had let Trina down.

Spencer and Ava may hate each other’s guts, but it was really nice to see them actually connect over Trina. I think it has been mentioned somewhere upthread, but it does seem like, in a way, that Ava is lowkey rooting for Sprina to happen (and indeed seems to be setting things up that way).

Ava is totally team Sprina! I liked the scenes yesterday too. I hope we'll actually get to see Spencer and Trina working together since this story has been moving at a snail's pace lately. I also liked Cameron and Esme kind of bonding over their troubled pasts. Esme seems to like the idea of angry Cam, haha. I'm looking forward to Esme drugging someone. I'm ready for some mess to happen with these teens at the cabin.

Chase should always be carrying a baby in all his scenes.

I love me some Liz and usually think she has chemistry with everyone, but this stuff with Finn is awful. That kiss in the locker room had me cringing. Zero heat, zero chemistry. Liz doesn't even look interested in him. She would be so much better with Drew (or Chase but he's obviously for Brooklyn and I like them).

I really enjoyed the scenes as well.  Sonny's crime here is the lie.  Carly answered all of his questions when asked and he lied for months.  However, Sonny's struggle is very soapy.  Whether he likes it or not, Sonny's feelings for Nina are genuine.  But he should not go home until that's resolved.

    • You’d think he would’ve learned after the way Sprina took off.  I hope we get a proper Emma/Gio/Trina/Kai quad, as friends, romantic rivals, etc. In the few scenes that the four of them have had together, I felt like there was a natural chemistry between all of them, similar to the way that Cam/Spencer/Trina/Joss was, in the beginning.  And, it would be a lot better than all this stuff with Kai’s surgery.
    • Hooray we made the exact same critique to Londonscribe!!!!!
    • I don't think they had any idea who he was this time last year. I think they were keeping their options very open. Same with totally dropping the Trina romance that was spoiled for him in the mags once FV clearly took a shine to him. Frank's priorities are bright and blazing in one color. I do think Gio and Emma seem to have worked out given that she is very dry and sarcastic and he is like a hot golden retriever, but I'd still play the field or explore quads with both with very different people - Emma with a scheming young man (of color), Gio with possibly Trina or someone else, or even a boy. Then maybe put them back together, who knows. But of course none that will happen.

    • He definitely got lost in the shuffle last year. First, they were implying that he was Drew’s son, then he was nothing more than just Violet’s bff

And then they changed him to being Dante and Brook Lynn’s son, which was clunky at first but I’m enjoying the storyline now.
    • GM is adorable, charming and fun onscreen despite months of nothing to do until recently, and has a bodacious bod. I'm not cosigning the show or this story - I haven't watched a full episode in over a month - but I think we're all taking the small victories in 2025 at this point. I'm open to testing this theory!
    • I think Jason might've posted some numbers for the syndication a while ago and the numbers for Falcon Crest was horrible. Like 1.5 rating or something, which was terrible.    ETA: it was actually Paul Raven:   New to syndication 60 min Fall Guy 67 markets 3.1/8 Falcon Crest 110 markets 1.1/5 To get into the top 40, you needed a 4.6/9 rating for reference - and Falcon Crest managed to get into a lot of markets to begin with. In the fall of 1985 Dynasty, Dallas and Knots were syndicated (show / rating / share / coverage % / markets): Dallas 3.4 10 51.7 92 Dynasty 3.4 10 48.7 47  Knots Landing 3.3 10 12.5 20  So, Knots as an example trippled Falcon Crest's rating with 20 markets - I'm sure those were major ones but it just goes to show you how much Falcon Crest bombed in syndication.
    • It's not bad but the stories move too slow. It's the same problem when Dan O'Connor was CO-HW with Van Etten, they have a million stories and they all drag on endlessly with no resolution. I'd argue the majority of the stories airing now are good but you get sick of waiting months for something to happen.
