I've never FFed an episode as much as I did today. Everything is Ben Ben Ben. I can't watch it. If tomorrow is just the wedding, I'll probably skip straight to the cliffhanger.

I did enjoy Chanel wearing a blindfold so she wouldn't see Eli naked again.

The minute they announced Ciara would be back again I knew they'd give Ben/Ciara the pre-Olympics pre-cliffhanger. Which is a huge groan for me.
Are we on this forum so out-of-step with the overall fandom on this?

They seem to have a large following on twitter and facebook, but I don't think it's an unpopular opinion for people with taste lol.  The problem is they got a lot of good press initially and even I was mildly intrigued by their initial chemistry (which I do think RSW/VK have), but it's been taken about 1000 levels too far.

I can only imagine that most Ben/Ciara fans are newer viewers who never watched Ciara before she was with Ben. Right? I can't imagine that anyone who watched her grow up on the show wants to see her be reduced to propping a serial killer.

I don't want to caricature but based on the quality of the vocabulary and grammar of the Ben/Ciara fan comments I see on YT, I'd reckon they are mostly younger viewers.

Which is why I am torn. I dislike them too and want Ben off but on the other hand I understand why the show would want to cater to the rare younger fans they have

Thinking back to the Salem Strangler story...had it taken place recently,Jake would have been forgiven by everyone because he really wasn't responsible. You see he had a brain tumor and and felt neglected as a child.

Chris would feel responsible and Marlena would make a point of forgiving him for murdering her sister.

Jessica would feel torn - although Joshua is great, he really isn't seeing the pain Jake is experiencing. Alice advises her granddaughter to be there for Jake.

After his operation for the tumor he doesn't remember being a killer so it's decided he can't be tried for those crimes he committed...

I'm pretty sure the Olympics cliffhanger won't be *only* Ben/Ciara/Theo.

Something else will happen Thursday, I think ... I assume? there will be a reveal with EJ finally reading the letter from Kristen?

I loved loved loved Chad getting to be smug towards Ben. It's just ridiculous that he and Abby are essentially the only two people in town that can hate Ben because Ciara browbeat the rest of town into submission until they were all convinced that Ben is the greatest former serial killer on the planet.

Yeah, exactly. EJ shouldn't even be welcomed in any room. The writing was always all over the place with Scott's EJ. It's why I could never fully invest. He's bad, no he's really not, yes he is, now he's dead. I enjoyed him with Nicole, Abby ... Sami as his soulmate just never worked for me (especially the rape which never should have happened). Them obsessed with each other and believing it's love? That works for me. But we'd need deeper writing for that ...

When Bo whisked Hope away. On her wedding to Larry Welch. That was pretty cool. As Bonnie Tyler's '' Holding Out For a Hero '' played. This is just trash using history. An empty ringy dingy. Funny looking church set. Ben smiling ear to ear. As he whisked Ciara away.

We aren't even going to get a cool song. Or location shoot out of this hot mess.

Yeah, I think it just changed with different writing regimes, but he did awful things to people.  Multiple people in  town.  Everything about EJ has always been a clusterf*ck right down to his SORAS ing.   I think it was mostly saved due to James Scott's charisma.  It's looks like Ron is turning nu EJ into a full on bad guy, so maybe that will work better.  I am not too worried about EJami.  They don't have much chemistry and it looks like this going to go into a Lumi as soulmates thing now.

Will would actually be useful right now.  He can be involved in this drama and help Allie with her sexuality.  He can leave Sonny in Arizona.

date: Wednesday, November 19, 2025 | Ron Carlivati, Jazmen Darnell Brown | Michael V. Pomarico Not Dana letting Vernon know that she is aware of his presence at the Bowman. No bueno. She cannot handle keeping things to herself for a period of time. Spoilt bitch, no offence, but I cannot stand you. You are getting everything you deserve. I like that Ted is not willing to take sides in Eva's battle with her sister. That is smart. As much of a problem as I have had with Martin since day one, I appreciate him seeing Eva as she is: his sister. So refreshing. Not Anita overhearing Dana and Vernon's conversation. How unfortunate. I love how happy Martin is for Eva. That is what a sibling does! And speak on it: the spoilt bitch needs to shut her trap before someone (Eva) shuts it for her. Aw, how cute is it that Andre and Dani are re-exchanging vows? Just a shame it will not last when Dani goes back to Bill and Andre goes to Ashley. And he said the four-letter word! Eva and Martin's banter is so cute; I love that she offered to talk to Samantha, whom she formed a bond with at one point in time doing her hair. And her face when the spoilt bitch made her presence known is how I feel whenever she shows up, opens her mouth, and acts like she is God's gift to the DMV. "Well, not anymore," get her, Eva. GET HER! Yesssssss. Anita has a vivid imagination? Ooh-la-wee! Anita, let us in on it. Please. Why do I feel like Dana is not talking to Ted about Peaches but about what Vernon is [supposedly] doing with Sharon? Hmm. Wow... I am surprised. It IS about Peaches. Colour me surprised. Ooh! I am so happy that Martin overheard the spoilt bitch wish Dana had "gotten rid" of Eva. Let her have it, sir! DO IT! Notes: Right when I thought I would catch a break after writer2 yesterday, today we are stuck with the writer. At least, like Danielle Paige yesterday, we have one of this soap's best scriptwriters (Brown) writing. I am sorry, but this soap's take on half-siblings or even step-siblings is very off-putting, as if they are less than full-blooded siblings, when in reality they are as special and important. The food at Uptown definitely rivals Orphey Gene's; it does look absolutely delicious and comforting. Sean Freeman (Andre) showed up today with the emotional pull. I knew he had it in him, and it is beautiful to see at the hands of Brown's scripted words.
    • Spot on Jason impression from Carlos lol
    • Brittany Snow is on Las Cultch.   She talks briefly about working with Hayden Panettiere and mentions that Laura-Bell Bundy "saved her ass", but no details.  It sounds like being a kid on a New York soap was a wild time.
    • Yes Martin Kat IS a giant baby, speak on it sweetie
