He dominated discourse for so many years. Family of mine watched his show. Sometimes I did too. So many like him dominate our country now, or people who are even worse, it's difficult to feel any sense of relief.

Years ago, WNET/Channel 13 in NYC had a documentary on the origins of PBS and it included the training program of television technicians and camera operators, of which Ms. Maple was part of that inaugural class. It’s a shame that PBS didn’t air her work on their channel the way they did for other filmmakers. She was one of those filmmakers that were mentioned as pioneers, with her photo displayed yet her work wasn’t as widely shown.
