Y&R: RIP Kristoff St John

It's a shame, because that story had potential to be dynamite. But they gave both sides of the conflict short shrift. You didn't have to make JJ a villain or Abe a heavy.

It's funny, because when the Grants were introduced on DAYS in the mid-70s, they hired a very talented black writer and poet (whose name escapes me at the moment) to ensure their portrayal and story were accurate and authentic.

THANK YOU. My brain at 2am is not what it used to be.

According to daily recaps for tomorrow's episode, the tribute for Kristoff airs at the very end of the show. It's shown in place of the Next Week's scenes clips. Kristoff is shown in a clip talking about his time on Y&R while some flashbacks are also shown. He thanks and says "I Love You" to fans in the clip and then the "In loving memory" placard is shown again.

I wish we would have gotten a full show showing clips from his time on the soap.

I never expected them to dedicate a special episode to him like they did with Jeanne Cooper, sadly.

That CG clip was all sorts of cuteness!

Also, damn how I miss THIS Y&R.  The music, writing, acting, and that apartment, I loved it.

I can't believe the quality of the show has decreased so much in just 10 years.
