October 14, 201411 yr Member Frankly, the only time I accept a character's death these days is when their veteran portrayer of advanced age passes away. I never, ever would have fully accepted the finality of E.J.'s death and I don't think I'm alone in that. As crazy as it may seem, this feels more final, like more of a "button" is put on his story for now. He's on a shelf, we may or may not get back to him in the near future, but fans can let it go and move on for now. Agreed. We know he's not going to walk in the front door of the mansion and resume business as usual in three days, which is the kind of fake death I really loathe. This is literally the same thing they did with Patch 24 years ago -- sticking a tag onto the story so the seed was planted. The mourning is real, and the story isn't a giant fake-out, so it works better for me than, say, Melaswen or those ridiculous safehouse deaths in 2012. Though the science of it really bothers me: Stefano has a drug to CURE DEATH?! Why doesn't he sell that and get filthy rich instead of pulling all these nonsense schemes? Today's episode was beautiful, though. They hit the right beats, down to Abe telling Sami that Theo would be comforted to know EJ was with Lexie now. Roman was even good! Yeah, I know you guys are right - it's crazy insane to expect that any character that died would stay dead. However, I do think it devalues the genre and is a major part of the reason that mainstream pop culture mocks daytime soaps. I also agree that the "Deus ex Stefano" plot device is crazy. He can also pull people out of terminal comas - all in 1 week! And Kate was looking extra glamorous today: seriously blinged out. Her hair has been fantastic since she lightened it and got rid of that prominent blue streak.
October 14, 201411 yr Member Uggh, that last scene today - after all the years it has taken this show to build back some sanctity around the finality of death, they pull this shite? If I wanted to watch this type of crapfest, I'd watch GH. I'm too old for this nonsense. Soaps are soaps and this is why I love them..NOT REAL...Sounds like made the right decision not to watch. IA! He can return just in time for the 50th anniversary to reunite with Sami and the two can have a final sail off into the sunset Any way they can bring him back to life is okay with me..I adore this actor.
October 14, 201411 yr Member Oh goody, looks like they're repairing the Daniel/Nicole friendship. IKR? Ugh! Good think I never got over my hate for her following their pairing so she continues to remain insignificant to me WTF is she wearing? Of course Will would call Sami to be a bitch AS is doing an amazing job. She nearly had me tearing up when Sami almost collapsed by the stairs and then ran into Brady's arms
October 14, 201411 yr Member WTF is she wearing? This honestly looks like a really ugly Thanksgiving tablecloth. WTF
October 14, 201411 yr Author Member That is an insanely ugly outfit. It has to be self-parody... it HAS to!
October 14, 201411 yr Member Once again I loved the trickle down of information rippling through town. Brady family scenes were right on point. I don't mind Daniel/Nicole. She needs a friend, and the only time I don't mind Daniel is with Nicole.
October 14, 201411 yr Member IKR? Ugh! Good think I never got over my hate for her following their pairing so she continues to remain insignificant to me WTF is she wearing? I could not fathom what possessed Melissa Reeves to wear that. Someone in the wardrobe department hates her.
October 14, 201411 yr Member The scene wasnt that bad. Sami called Will & he assumed she didnt come cause she was made at him but when she told hm about EJ, Wilson went to Sami. I thought the Will/Sami scenes were good today
October 14, 201411 yr Member From what I read, WIlSon seriously needs to break up Week of Oct 20 Will & Sonny clash over his article about Chad. Will admits he doesnt feel that Sonny supports his career This is so dumb for Sonny. I feel he wants to be the success. Sonny needs to treat Will as his equal. Edited October 14, 201411 yr by John
October 15, 201411 yr Member Yeah, Sonny is his husband, not his parent. Totally why they need these two to man up or break up.
October 15, 201411 yr Member I just hope Will tells Sonny what's what. Will should remind Sonny that he never stuck his nise in with Sonny's club & let Sonny chart his own course there.
October 15, 201411 yr Member I could not fathom what possessed Melissa Reeves to wear that. Someone in the wardrobe department hates her. Does she get a choice? And given everything we know about her, I think it's entirely possible that someone in wardrobe doesn't feel the need to do her any favors.
