I don't think that was in any way a good look for Sharon Case, especially if any syllable of this story is true. It does raise my eyebrows. But I'm not gonna talk a lot of [!@#$%^&*] about the woman. I think she's a tremendous actress and a key asset to Y&R, and she's been done wrong by JFP herself. I wouldn't be surprised if she had a target on her back. Jill will hit anyone except her anointed people. I wish she'd get rid of Daniel Goddard. And I can't believe that after all this they will let her lay the hammer down on Billy Miller but she can't touch Christel Khalil.

I keep hearing the return of Tristan Rogers might be a slow boat out of town for Jess Walton with a happy ending for Jill Abbott, so who knows about that.

I don't believe Jess is going anywhere. Tristan was given a 1 year contract that would ensure she's at least on screen for the next year. Not only that, but they've gone out of their way to give her more stories and connections leading into this new HW team, so I feel like they actually want to write for her.

I also don;'t think these writers have been bad for Sharon, so far. THey seem to be trying to make her more sane and putting her with Nick and building a relationship with Summer.

Plucked up the courage to watch the Sharon Case tribute video...and it's fine. It isn't like she makes any definitive statement on who he is or his innocence or guilt...just focuses on their memories together...which doesn't do much to dispel rumours of an affair between the two of them.

Agreed. The vid could be construed two ways: as a goodbye to a good friend or... something more. She likely did it to show that she is not going to abandon his friendship just yet? At least, I hope that is the case.

Agreed on both these points. And I too have really gotten behind the writing for Sharon of late. And for Jess too, it goes without saying. Jill Abbott is giving me life at the moment. That scene plotting with Jack last week was so dynamic and strong. She really shone.

It's truly amazing what a difference it can make when you write long-established characters IN character (Note that the breakdown was by Natalie Minardi Slater & script by Janice Ferri Esser). It elevates a whole scene and rings true. That's the right direction--but they need to do more.

Even if they were to dump her, I seriously doubt Jess Walton's goin' the way Muhney did. I know, a joke, but I'm still saying.

To be fair, in her first 6 months MAB also put JIll back into business mode and made here a proper charcacter. But by mid-2008 somehow it got decided that Jess Walton is disposable.

Maria never got over Walton's tense contract negotiations in 2008, and used the rest of her tenure at the show to punish her. It was evident.

You know, no offense to you or anyone else in this thread, it's just a general observation (I've been loving the crazy for 49 pages, it's been more entertaining than anything on TV lately), but this is why I have such difficulty when people use actors' initials so liberally. It took me three pages and 15 minutes to realize y'all were talking about Billy Miller and not something you do in a bathroom.
